Exceptional food. Authentic, high quality, fresh food. 10/10 best Indian around by a mile.

I came in and sat down diana sat me down and was super welcoming, recommended me good food and gave great, just moved to the area coming back soon.

Regularly eat in or get home delivery. Never been disappointed, the food is always tasty & well cooked. Home delivery always arrives earlier than estimated which shows how well they manage customer expectations. Very genuine friendly welcome & service. I recommend it.

Visited St Albans and dropped in for a takeaway on the back to the hotel. Food was beautiful absolutely gorgeous. The chick was soft and tasty. Keema naan and rice fab and the lamb samosas brilliant. When back in the area will defo visit again.

Disappointed. We had some friends round, and ordered a meal to be delivered. When it arrived, and we were dishing out the food, it was apparent there was one rice dish missing. At that time there was nothing we could do, but share the rice between us. The next day, my wife telephoned, and they blatantly said there was nothing they could do, and refused the refund for the rice dish not received. Not happy with that sort of customer service, and it would certainly influence my decision if I use this restaurant again. My opinion was the food was "not that special" although our friends enjoyed it. I hope there were not just being polite!

I’ve eaten in just about every Indian restaurant in St Albans and I’ve been visiting the Rami weekly for a couple of months now and it is without doubt my new favourite, delicious food, friendly staff and good value.

Unbelievabley bad. Small portion of curry. Onion bhajis the worst I've ever had, hard overcooked, inedible. Won't use again. Food did not taste fresh at all

Do not order from this restaurant. We waited over an hour for our food which never was delivered and then were verbally abused over the phone. Absolute scam...

We ordered a meal through deliveroo and we waited over an hour and half did it. After calling multiple times for our order and kept being told one excuse after another and then was verbally abused by a member of staff. I would NEVER ORDER anything from this establishment

Unquestionably the best eatery in Chiswell Green, with an exceptional selection of curries and nans, served by neighbourly owner and staff who never fail to make us feel very much at home.

100% recommended. Very good service, excellent taste and point of meals. I tried rices with chicken, lamb and prawns and they are delicious. The prices are very fair, cheap for the quantity and quality of the meals. 100% recomendado. Muy buen servicio, excelente el sabor y punto de las comidas. Probé arroces con pollo, cordero y camarones y estaban son deliciosos. Los precios son muy justos, económicos para la cantidad y calidad de las comidas.

This place is amazing love the food

We’ve ordered about 5 takeaways from Rami and each time it’s been fab. Especially the option to go for chicken tikka in your curry. We order online then pick up. Friendly staff. Must eat in one day with the kids.

The food was tasty, and there was a good range of choice for vegetarians. The service was very good, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The restaurant was clean and efficient. The portion size was smaller than in previous visits (a few years ago), but the prices were about the same, which evens things a bit. I would recommend it.

Ordered a few takeaways from Rami over the past month or so. We have had various dishes/sides, the food has always been very good, plenty of meat in the dishes too. Friendly staff, deffinitely recommend.

Ordered takeaway at 1701, it was ready at 1725, just time to drive there. Ordered the chicken jalfrezi Balti and sag chana, nice sized portions, plenty of chicken, really well spice. I think i have found my new favourite takeaway dish. Went back the following Friday..ordered nawab chicken... the sauce and veg was very nice, there was a distinct lack of chicken, like almost none. Have complained and lets see how they deal with it. This could be a one off error, or a sign that their dishes vary wildly.

Lovely food and quick collection

Ordered using online app before they opened! Online said 6:15 to 6:30 for delivery thought OK that's good. Had to phone at 7:30 and was told it on its way been busy. Well I thought that's OK pandemic etc be here soon. Arrived at 8:30!!! Ordered at 5pm. So seems to me don't order online cos they do not check for orders. When it did arrive they left out 1 of the dishes. To sum up arrived very late, was Luke warm and a side dish missing. The food ate it cos We where hungry had a lot better. Will not be using again.

Rami food is very nice, I love it

We had exactly the same experience as jacob robinson me and my friend on one Tuesday evening. i live in chiswell green and have spent a lot of money with Rami (ishmael) over the years. i even had my wifes private birthday party there a few years ago and i certainly will not be returning. They used to stamp a card for you as a loyal customer and my wife and i had two cards full and he refused to take them and gave me no excuse at all. Maybe they were having a bad day but who knows. I FELT TOTALLY CONNED AS THE PROMOTION WAS WORTHLESS.

Boutique Restaurant, artisan food. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice & cosy atmosphere.

I took my father here for a birthday dinner and first visit was a great experience. On entry approximately 6-7pm one evening, there was not a lot of people inside and a couple of minutes the place switched to very busy with orders going out and walk-ins turning up every so many minutes. The reason for this could be down to the great service received from all staff working here and the high quality food that was brought to my table. Good size portions and very good value for money. I highly recommend the half tandoori chicken that comes sizzling straight to your table. Good place, great people but little car parking. I recommend this little gem of St Albans.

Vastly overpriced and mediocre curry. Poppadoms arrived with red goop, not even resembling mango or a chutney and a spicy red goop which didn't taste of anything notable. £43 without tip for a mango lasi, beer, immensely dry duck passanda (didn't find any almonds) a chicken tikka pathia, one Peshwari naan (drenched in sweet liquid???) And one tiny side dish of broccoli with cauliflower. Service was very friendly but we won't be returning.

If you measure a restaurant by attentive, polite and swift service matched by wonderful food, then Rami’s is sure to please you.

First time visit. Need to give it another go. The food was bland and not seasoned well. Staff not helpful in choice questions and perhaps another go. Definitely "Indian food for a western palate"...very "80s"!

I love the food at Rami... just wish it was hotter when eating with a big party

Use to love this Indian but over the last 5 months it's gone down hill late deliveries, delivered the wrong food, burnt or undercooked naan on numerous occassions, burnt onion baajis. I would think food went through a quality check before delivering or serving but obviously not. One 2 occasions onion baajis so burnt it was like biting into charcoal. They need to seriously make changes for me to order from them again. Staff are friendly though!

We tried the restaurant for the banquet night which is on Tuesdays. We sat down to eat and told the owner we were here for the banquet offer after the owner automatically handing to us the normal menu and not the banquet menu. He just replied with yes of course sir! The food wasn’t up to standard, my king prawn piri was baby prawn and the prawns were hard and chewy, not fresh at all. (Frozen) my friend ordered the chicken which was also chewy and from frozen. When we asked for the bill he handed me and my friend a total bill of £60.00 which was well over the banquet deal price, we ordered three drinks which we already knew we had to pay extra for. When I approached the owner about the bill he got very abroupt towards us and rude about it and dismissed the offer that he has written on a sign outside his shop and charged me and my friend full price for everything. We felt like we had been conned! As we were leaving there was a group of 6 people just sitting down and I watched the owner pass all 6 the normal menu instead off the banquet menu just like he done to me and my friend. Horrible food, service and experience! Never again

Just had the best Indian meal we've ever had. Food was excellent. We will definitely be going back sometime and am happy to recommend to others.

Good food reasonably priced and helpful staff whom accommodate and make you feel welcome . Have been a few times and never had complaint with our meals . We have also had them deliver to us and again an efficient service with Currys turning up piping hot and good to go ! .. would recommend highly.

My husband's post! Food is decent. Staff are friendly and I am very pro supporting local businesses but not when they are always trying to upsell and charge for everything. I went in with a friend. When I got the bill I couldn't believe that 8 poppadoms with dips were £8.00! I mean really! Most place don't charge for them or it's generally a throw away price. I also live within a stone's throw of the restaurant and I have tried to order a takeaway in the past and they wanted to charge me delivery costs. I told them that I had a child in bed so I couldn't leave the house and it fell on deaf ears. As a local business they should respect locals more, not take advantage because they are the only local curry house in the area. St Albans has many other good curry houses and they do deliver to Chiswell Green! So you may say - just take your business elsewhere mate and you're right, if I don't want to pay £8.00 for a few poppadoms and dip, then I might have to! Lastly, I was overcharged on checking the bill and I'm still not convinced I paid the correct total in the end either! So all in all, food was good, however, not enough to keep me as a paying customer when I take all the other details into account.

Best Indian food in St Albans. They are so polite and welcoming the same people have worked there for years I can't rate there food enough. There lamb tikka is the best. It's a must try u can't go wrong.
