Takeaway Chicken & Prawn Yaki Soba. Its okay, even better when i season it though, i have to re fry it with chilli, salt etc to get the best out of Wagamama, unless I'm getting the firecracker dishes. That's my only criticism, I understand people these days don't like salt but I'm afraid it's essential to make dishes taste of anything when you're using ingredients with little flavour.

The beef brisket ramen is always 10/10. Our waitress, Mirela, was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional. Thank you, Mirela, for making our evening so enjoyable—we’ll definitely be coming back!

Hadn't been to wagsy for a long time and wow it has gone downhill. Ramen tasted of nothing, katsu of microwave meal quality. Shame

Fantastic lunch time visit today! Kid friendly (aged 9 and 12). Took egg intolerants seriously: labelled place mat, order and happy to swap noddles type. Will be back.

Great food, delivered in time and friendly atmosphere. All the waiters were excellent as well as Max, the manager.

We ordered from Deliveroo, edamame was completely inedible and going brown. We’d paid for extra tofu but there were 3 pieces in the dish. When we asked Deliveroo for some compensation they said call the restaurant, the restaurant were really rude and unhelpful and said to contact Deliveroo. Really disappointing.

We came after lunch peak, the place was nearly empty. We had a couple of ramens and a noodle dish. The staff were super nice, and the ramens were better than the average for the chain.

Food consistently good but service can be really hit and miss and sometimes a reflection of staff that seem genuinely unhappy to be there.

As usual a great evenings supper but the highlight was to be recognised & greeted by a member of staff on arrival (Andrew) who also remembered some of the dishes we always order. It felt like we were dining in a small family business not the conglomerate that is Wagamama's. Well done to all the guys who served us tonight.

Wagamama's used to make the best Katsus on the market. (Tried many places). They have changed their recipes so won't go back for Katsus again.

Service and atmosphere were pretty good no faults to say. Ordered the yasai yaki soba noodles but unfortunately have to rate this as 4 stars. The tofu was definitely not fresh, it was hard and chewy. Everything else about the dish was great.

Food and service are number one.

The food was delicious and served on time. Waiters went above and beyond to make sure that my friends and I were having a great time. There were 8 of us and they didn't get our orders mixed up. They are WAGA-FAB.

Great wagamamma, good central location, enjoyed a meal at around 6pm and there was no queue to get in, it did get busy later however. Waited under 10 minutes for our food and everything was tasty. Clean location! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Poor service, little atmosphere. Very noisy. Food always comes out at different times so can't always eat together. Went for a birthday and felt would be better elsewhere.

We had a lovely meal this evening for a friends birthday and our waitress (Georgia?), blond hair, was superb, welcoming and went above and beyond. She deserves a bonus! Thank you for such an amazing service.

Waited 2 hours for a takeaway and still didn't receive anything. Absolutely shocking customer service. Orders should not be accepted if they cannot be fulfilled. Will not order from them again. There are plenty of excellent alternatives in the area.

Absolutely amazing service, right from our arrival. The team were on hand when my dad was choking and very fast at getting a glass of water. My daughter's 17th birthday celebrations last week and I couldnt have hoped for a better service.

Took my daughter for her 17th birthday with family and found the staff very welcoming and helpful. Their service was professional aswell as polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very calm, plenty of seating.

Uh, no, thanks. My katsu had a quite quaint taste and seemed spicy only to mask the lack of depth of the flavour, and thesalad part of it was so bad I'd refrain from giving it to a Guinea pig. Utterly bitter letucce, wilted leaves, lone corn kernel.... but the big issue was incredibly slow service actively ignoring our presence (and folded menu). Not worth it.

I don't know how people put up with this slop and think it's good food! Seriously, got delivery yesterday. We both got ramen. There was no broth. Either somebody forgot to put it in or the noodles absorbed the entire bowl. The noodles were soggy and there was like zero protein. The steak is literally like meat floss. Even the kimchi was minimal. It's not exactly cheap either at 15 quid a bowl. We also got some tiny dumplings/gyoza which tasted horrid. There was no meat in there either it was just like some goo paste. Gross. Honestly, it's disgusting how establishments want to rip you off so much by overloading you with cheap carbs and give you very little low quality protein. Then have the cheek to charge you 15 quid for a bowl of noodles essentially. Listen, if you're going to sell ramen send the broth separately. Duh. Anyways, don't recommend whatsoever.

Food was nice and there are some nice new additions to the menu (since last time I went). Service was good once we were actually served. We sat outside as we had the dog with us and even though we were told our servers name they didn't come to take our order and I had to go in twice to remind them to come out. Once out the server we got was great and we were looked after. We were outside on our own so not much atmosphere but that was our choice.

Food was absolutely great, unfortunately wish we had a friendly waiter. Otherwise for a busy restaurant food was out quick.

The food was overcooked it literally tasted like it was gone bad or microwaved. We did mention it to a sweet girl working there and she was really nice and was trying to help us out but we said it’s fine and got it to take away as we didn’t wanna say anything but had way better food in other branches. The staff was nice and friendly. Food wasn’t upto expectations.

Lovely food! Tried the new hotpot which was very tasty. However very slow and disjointed service and I slipped over on the floor and hurt my knee!!

Well the food wasn't much better than home food and then they wouldn't accept are One For All card. The place was full of youngsters who probably think it's good value eat out. We agreed not to return. Also all of the four meals came at different times so I had virtually finished by the time meal 4 turned up. A shambles night out really!!!!!

When a restaurant is busy, you know it's a good sign, and this place was really fab. Very friendly staff and a big menu to choose from. Quick service too

Thoroughly disappointed, firstly we sat down and the waiter asked if we wanted water, he came back with a bottle of water which we were then charged £5 for.. we then ordered a starter and a main each (once they did take our order.. as service was pretty slow even though it was pretty empty), mains came out quite a while before the starters… when the starters came over they were cold and bland, I love the chilli squid usually but the portion size looked tiny as well. The mains were flavourless, lack of meat in one dish and the chicken teriyaki donburi had little to no sauce

The food was great, We had the chicken ramen and the Pad Thai Chicken and Prawn, and I like how they can customise the meal to take into account allergens. The restaurant was not that busy. I liked the booths if you want a little more privacy. Would recommend it.

There are 191 Wagamama Restaurants in the World. I Recommend the Chicken Katsu Curry. Excellent Hygiene & Immaculate Service Every Time and the Yaki Soba Stir Fried Noodles and the Deep Fried King Prawns in Panko Breadcrumbs. Delicious Food Every Single Time. Very good Quality Food for a Reasonable Price.

The food was good here and the staff was friendly but they did get some of our food orders wrong.

First visit to Wagamama at St.Albans Nice location and ambience. Fast service and lovely crew. Enjoyed the lunch with family.

Delivered one item wrong. Called immediately and they said they would replace it. They did not. The food was barely warm. A takeaway from M&S would have been better and cheaper.

The great quality you always get in a Wagamama with a warm welcome and excellent service too.

Stopped by to order and take a couple of items. Unknowledgeable staff, poor welcome. The food was ready quickly but it was tasteless, side order kimchi was so small, probably a bite if so. It was my first time at any Wagamamas, and the last I think.

Where did the Chilli Steak Ramen go from the menu! Very disappointed to see it removed, bring it back! Staff and everything at branch is 5* just a stupid decision by HQ on menu! Hence the low reviews to hopefully get the point across. #BringBackSteakRamen

Okay, giving 5 stars to Wagamama, especially when considering the bustling restaurant scene in St Albans, might seem a bit excessive. However, our experience of struggling to find a table in any city centre restaurant really made us value this place even more. It’s casual, the food is consistently good with new dishes to try each time, and its central location is a plus. Not to forget, my Shu’s Shiok Chicken Donburi was delicious

It was a busy Saturday .. but the chicken was like rubber in my ramen the red onions were raw and the beanshoots were under cooked . The soup was flavourless ...

Bland food, too many interactions from staff who were disinterested when we said the food wasn't great. The place was cold and we felt rushed even tho they weren't busy. Disappointed and will not be going back

What can I say I had Georgie serve me and right from the start she was so helpful and had a smile that made my family feel right at home and helped my son choose the meal that best filled his needs as he was so hungry. Georgie Knew all about the different foods and spices in the dishes available, I would recommend this Wagamama in St Albans and definitely try get Georgie to serve you on your evening out you won’t be disappointed with her and the service great start to the weekend 5***** perfect location also and parking is underneath the restaurant which is handy when weather is bad

Incorrect wine order, as in ordered a 250ml and was given 125ml. Other than that, swift service, good food.

Been eating here for 6 years I've always loved this wagamamas. But I simply asked for more sauce with my chilli squid and the manager 'Danika' somehow told me it was against their policy. It was so unbelievably harsh and cold for no reason. Awful customer service by her. All I asked for was more chilli sauce ?!

Very slow service. Our starters came at different times, meaning one of us would be eating without the other. Same thing happened with our mains. Flies around the table. Food lacked flavour. Won't be returning.

Sadly its really gone downhill. Some staff great, some awful. Especially in their presentation. Food not great. Slow service. Not spotless in cleanliness. Needs a radical change to raise the standard to where it used to be when it first arrived. Won't be returning any time soon.

We didn't know there was a Wagamama hidden somewhere in st. Albans. We discovered it and been there to have a quick lunch for my birthday. Nice food, cocktails a bit too light and small for the price (passion fruit colada) - great location.

Food came out different times so did not eat together. After 10 min after every one else I had to ask where mine was. They went away did not come back. I had to ask again. Took 15 mins after everyone had started there’s. It seems to me a lot of emphasis goes on the takeaways not the customer in the restaurant . Food ok.

Could not fairly rate the food as we didn't even get to order any. We waited about 20 minutes after ordering the drinks for the waitress and made eye contact with them 3 times. Keep in mind that they were not busy. Other customers who had arrived much later than us had faster service and most of the staff were standing around doing nothing. Had to ask twice to pay for our drinks before we left.

I've been to Wagamama in 2019 on a previous trip. Having it again was a very similar experience but I feel like the portions were more fair this time. Food was great, the servers were nice and attentive. A place that has vegan options and does them well is all I ask for and that was accomplished.

We were seated slowly and coldly, I asked where the toilets are and the waitress said ‘back’. I was confused, I replied asking what she meant and she just repeated ‘back’. Off to not a great start, we waited about 15 minutes to be served, the waiters were too occupied by a wasp on some food that had been left by previous guests. The staff figured they needed three, at sometimes four, of them to solve this issue. They stood around laughing and joking whilst we waited, I called one of them over eventually. Every ask was met with an eye roll or a short, rude answer. I was very unhappy as I usually love Wagamama’s and their customer service, the food was as usual, but this left a bitter taste.

Excellent service provided by Angel, food came incredibly fast, tasted great and nice calm atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Day out in St. Albans. Wanted something quick and easy for lunch. We sat outside, as the inside was too hot and loud. Our waitress was lovely. The food is not as good as it used to be. Salad garnishes were brown on the chicken katsu (people also eat with their eyes). Duck Gyoza, Bao, and Edamame were not bad. But like I said, we all have different tastes/pallets. The customers toilets could do with upgrading or deep clean though, I'm very particular with cleanliness.

Our first time eating at wagamama. Very tasty food. everybody talking all at once because it was so packed the waiter had trouble hearing us over the music. The pudding sizes are extremely small and extremely expensive could be bigger

Actually embarrassing how woeful the service here was. Came in on a day where it was half busy but there were enough workers to accommodate a full capacity WagaMama's. Sat down for 20 minutes with no employee even bothering to give any contact to come serve us. At the end, had to go out our own way to grab someones attention when they were serving someone near us. Abysmal to say the least. Sort your staff out.

A nice varied menu, but execution was poor. The Korean BBQ bao buns were lacking in meat, and what little meat was there, was dry like jerky. I do not recommend this place. The shrimp nori rolls were tough and chewy due to the nori, and lacked flavor.

Ordered dinner for my family thru Deliveroo. Order came incomplete. Tried to resolve thru Deliveroo chat line help. Deliveroo just said that it’s not them but restaurants fault and was suggested to leave bad review on Wagamama to help other customers. I called Wagamama directly, spoken to lady by name Angel. She quickly resolved issue and ordered missing items again. Angel and team at St Alban’s Wagamama went extra mile and have put some vouchers that I can use for future dinning at Wagamama. Curry was extra tasty this time , maybe it’s all because we had to wait so long for our dinner. Wanted again to Thanks Angel and whole team at Wagamama for looking after their customers

2021: Ok. The food was not great this time. But they still get 4 stars as they DO listen to you when you're unhappy and look to sort it for you. A little bit of push back but not enough to be upset. The dividers along the long table allow for some safety during Covid times and they are cleaning tables before guests are seated. Good to see. We had: Vegan squid - 8/10 (not as good as Staines branch!); Vegan ribs - 1/10 yuk too burnt although texture good; Yaki soba with extra ginger - 9/10 yum; chicken raisukaree - NOT mild despite the description! We went it back as too spicy despite picking the chilli out! - coconut icecream - disappointed as no passion fruit sauce and the toffee sauce just doesn't work instead. Bit too "bitty" and sweet too. 2023 June: Sunshine and outdoors. No more vegan squid 😔 the Bang Bang cauliflower IS very spicy. The mushroom Bao buns delicious.

We LOVE wagamama, everytime when eat in. However, every time we order a take away is a DISASTER! Noodle instead of rice, well done meat when asked for medium and all the way around. Chili squid with not even 1/4 of sauce. For sure today was the last time ordering a take away . Hopefully someone there will pay some attention to take away/ deliveoo orders too. Thank you

Ordered for delivery and was quoted 1 hour .. that is fine ... its now 2.5 hours later and still no food .. and the delivery time is still going back .. quote an accurate time and don't lie about delivery times ... the app has said my food is being prepared for 2 hours now !!

In general not bad but we’ve had higher quality food in other Wagamama branches. Specially steak was very hard to chew.

Visited on Friday 28th April 2023. Table was not properly cleaned, drinking cups were delivered dirty 😳 asked for another, was not much better. I was quite disgusted. Completely put off my meal. So sorry, but I will not be visiting that branch again.
