Good pub great choice of drinks

The only actual pub in the area. The staff are always friendly and the beer cold. They have a nice grassed area out the back which is nice in the summer.

Doesn’t let people in past 11 very bad when people are paying

No food sold at the moment, but a good spot for the sunshine, when it appears.

A homophonic establishment that will ensure an extremely unpleasant experience, backwards thinking that is unacceptable in Britain, this establishment should be shut down.

Ot was a nice pub for a few pints wi work mates after a long week, reasonably priced 4 pints just less than 20 quid all good

We didn’t stay long, as they are no longer serving food! Not sure if this is permanent, but would have been nice to have mentioned this!

After a 31yr absence from Tidworth, it was lovely to speak with the folks there

Great pub, with a variety of drinks, and showing sports.

No draft ale, bouncers on the entrance, atmosphere intimidating, letters missing from signage.

I went to poker night on a Monday. Fosters was only £3.30 and free food was provided by a friendly husband and wife team. A good mixture of civilians and army people, football was on the TV, I think they show rugby too. The food is supposed to be good but I wasn't eating out.

Having a laugh with my mates, bar maid came out and spoiled the fun because she didn't like one of my mates. If you're a squaddie keep away because they don't like soldiers. Happily took my money but as soon as we bought the beers they asked us to leave.

Called in for a quick drink and to use the facilities on our way back home from Somerset. Dog friendly pub, wooden floors throughout We didn't eat but they were serving a carvery that day.

Lovely Sunday roast lunch with good service.

Took my 21 month old there and he loved it! There is a separate area for under 5s with blocks , ball pit and climbing stuff. Food is reasonably priced.Good sitting area for parents to keep an eye on kids whiles eating. Clean environment. Good parking as well. Lovely staff.I would defo recommend going.....i am excited to visit again.

Never ventured in and have been local a few years, mainly due to negative rumours- which I would now say are historic and unjust. Noticed the pub had launched a Sunday carvery and thought I would take the family to give it a go. The pub is clean and well decorated, all the staff I came into contact from booking on the phone to the end of my visit are professional and friendly. The carvery is out of this world- a great deal of attention went into every element. Following our day time visit, we also came out on an evening for Thursday karaoke, a great night was had by us all and we will be back.

Lived here for 3 years. Ex Soldier married to a Service Person. Heard lots of rumours, I have found the pub to be a great asset to the community, friendly locals and great staff, great menu. Now doing Sunday lunches, carvery style. Children and Dog friendly up to 2100hrs. Live Football Just ask the friendly staff. Yes it is the only local pub, bar other social clubs in the area that the service Personnel use, so after 2100 on the weekend it can get busy, most are well behaved and just out for a good time, like every where there are rare trouble makers but the pub staff and door staff handle all people professionally and there is cctv through out, so safe. Quiz nights every week, and Laddies only nights hosted by great entertainment (so I have heard). I was skeptical at first when first moved here but now this pub has become a great meeting place a friendly atmosphere with great food great staff, and the pool table is the place to be King or Queen of the pub.

Update to reply to the below - You responded in exactly the way I thought you would, just as you did when you replied to the person saying the chicken was raw and pink, you put an 8 page paragraph stating why it isn't. Listen to the feedback given to you and the pub may actually improve. I recommend you head over to The Crown Inn down the road for some tips on how an establishment should be run. Saying you rang the police because someone refused to leave is an absolute lie. The police themselves said they were called because you felt threatened (which they couldn't understand why after meeting us, a group of friends and family from the Cotswolds). I am not going to reply to each false accusation you've made there because I simply cannot be bothered, your future customers will know exactly what to expect from you by reading your response alone. Wow. If you're looking for unwelcoming, rude staff, and a miserable atmosphere - this place is for you! We came for a drink, sat in the empty beer garden, and the police were called? They were just as confused as we were. We all had a laugh about it in the end. We either caught Gemma on a bad day, or god help it if that's her usual mood - would explain why the place was empty! Wish I'd read TripAdvisor reviews first; to see the last positive review was left in May 2019 was no surprise. AVOID! Would not recommend.

If you enjoy rude staff, awful food and being breathalysed by the police, then this is the pub for you. We had an amazing day at thruxton with family and friends. A big group of us stopped at The Ram for a bite to eat and a pint. The pub was empty. My uncle bought his 19 year old son a pint with some food. The bar staff followed him out to our table and threatened to take the pint away if ID wasn't shown. They were soo appalled they left. The staff were very rude. Hot dog finally came and the bun was soo stale it was crunchy and just broke apart. Then 5 mins later the police turned up. The manager had called the police to say we were drink driving... We hadn't even finished 1 pint and we were being breathalysed by the police.. Obviously everyone was way under the limit. The police were as confused as we were, but we all had a laugh about it. What a waste of police time. Definitely will never be going back there. No wonder the place was dead, if that's how you treat your only customers.

A nice place with a good vibe and the food is pretty good

A real comfy feel about this local pub in the heart of Tidworth. A very imposing frontage and indoors does not change your feelings. Plenty of seating. Great bar staff happy to chat while pouring your tipple. Clean and taking in the recent covid restrictions well maintained. Prices are decent and yes the drinks were well enjoyed. Child friendly makes it even better great beer garden and the kids loved it. Don't pass by stop and enjoy.

Enjoyed the visit, nice game of pool. However, we ordered starters and main courses, we were not expecting the main to come out at the same time as the starter, found that very strange 🤔

Large pub with large beer garden. Selection of keg beers and largers but no craft, real or cask beer.

There was no real ale in this pub. It also didn't do table service outside (unlike all the pubs where we live). We won't be returning

Love it here! The staff is just amazing. The manager Gemma is just so lovely! And owner Tony is amazing as wel I recommend everyone. Just know to call if you’re coming past the 11pm 😊

The staff here need a personality transplant, been in 3 or 4 times and sick of getting spoken to like dirt. The lack of customer service skills is obvious from stepping into the place. They sell beer so get 2 stars.

Its just about the only pub in town, so luckily it's pretty great. Great staff who are good at what they do so you're never stood waiting at the bar too long. Music on the weekends, nice food available until 9, and they pull a good pint. You get a good crowd in there too, mostly from the barracks

Chips and the coleslaw were excellent, the burger was ok but lacked seasoning and was a bit of a handful. Good service though so all round 4/5

Visited early lunchtime on a Saturday, only 2 other customers present. A reasonable selection of Keg beers. Only 1 draught beer on offer (Wadsworth 6 X) which was unavailable. Smoking area at front of pub with tables and benches adjacent to car park. Seems a reasonable sort of a place. Didn't see any food offers although that's not to say they don't do food. I never asked.

Great service, barmaid was really helpful and polite. Great atmosphere during the evening and they informed us of the large garden area they have, so we decide to bring the kids for a Sunday roast and food lived up to our expectations. Throughly pleased with our experience and recommend to all families.

Excellent friendly service. A wonderful and tasty meal that despite being picky I ate all of and thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely service and great outside play area for kids

We stopped for a drink initially but then decided to have lunch. Very nice drinks and the baguette and jacket we had were top notch too. Well worth a visit.
