November evening in London for a folk gig. Stumbled upon the Railway Tavern. What a lucky break! Good beer, good value wine and best of all great pizzas. Warm, traditional bar with friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much we returned after the gig. Thoroughly recommended. We will definitely return if we are in the area again. Thank you!

Hands down this place does the best roasts in London. None of this ridiculous fancy presentation and skimpy portions - just loads of honest grub, well cooked and served with a smile. Good selection of ales as well and the Thai food, not served on Sundays, is pretty tasty to. Highly recommended.

Good range of beers, very reasonably priced excellent Thai food, friendly serving staff. But the restroom stall in Gents' was very darkly lit, without a lock. Not to mention the fact it was dirty and dare I say it, unflushed. Also, I respect their choice of not having a website, but a simple and basic website detailing their opening hours, food menu and serving times would be of great help.

This pub seems to combine tradition - such as the style of the building, and the dark wood bar and seating - with the modern - cool decoration and a Thai menu. We really enjoyed the atmosphere there.

Looking for a pub in which to kill a couple of hours we wandered off the busy Kingsland High Street and stumbled across this cracking little place. It was late afternoon so not too busy, but still had a lovely warm, welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of beers on tap and by the bottle. There was no suggestion that they served food, but while we were chatting a menu appeared on our table. I think it was probably around 6pm, presumably when they started serving food. We had planned to eat elsewhere, but it seemed a shame to leave and the Asian menu looked appealing. The food was very enjoyable. I shall definitely seek this place out next time I'm in this area.

Very friendly cafe, almost next to King's Cross Station. Went to stoke up before a long train journey and had a large full English, with much better quality bacon and sausage than usual in these kind of cafes, great coffee and excellent freshly squeezed orange juice. Total cost £11.45 - excellent!

Looking for an easy place to have breakfast, we stumbled on this cafe. Couldn’t see the inside as there was condensation on the windows. Opening the door revealed the hidden gem; a proper English breakfast place. The welcome was warm, the menu full of classics and tasted great!
