One of the worst espressos I have ever paid money for. No crema at all and tasted completely under extracted. What is the point of having a la marzocco machine if you don’t grind properly?

Stopped here for the first time the other day for a coffee and whilst chatting with the lads they pulled out HOT pan au chocolate from the oven!! OMG I had to have one whilst eating I nearly took my fingers off it was the best one I've ever had! I'm back today for another and the coffee is 10/10 as well great lads very chatty 👌

Nice place and good coffee but the tall waitress thinks it’s ok to hold her stomach and joke (apropos of nothing) ‘I’m pregnant and I’m gonna name it abortion…because I’m gonna abort it’ to customers. When I told her she should be wary joking about a subject which may be a sensitive subject for some people, she replied ‘Why? You’re not pro-choice are you? I’ve aborted one before… I just think it’s funny because you’re a man, you don’t have a uterus…that’s very millennial and old fashioned’ before wrinkling her nose and sarcastically saying ‘sorry I hurt your feelings’ It was an extremely unpleasant and unnecessary exchange delivered with an extremely ugly attitude. I can only imagine the ire I would have faced had I triggered or offended the waitress in question and her own beliefs. There’s no need to be so hostile toward customers.

I was in desperate need of the loo and I happened to pass Jimmy and the Bee on my way and it turned out they make very decent coffee, serve good food, offer wide selection of meals and drinks, plus the staff is very friendly. It's a cozy place worth visiting. Moreover, the loo is pristine clean so I'm happy to leave 5 stars here.

I was in London and had a meeting in the afternoon, so I walked up to City, University of London. I arrived earlier than planned, so I went to Jimmy and the Bee, which is close by, and ordered a flat white. They took my order and I took a seat. Jimmy and the Bee looks to be an independent cafe, which predominantly sells tea and coffee. There were some cakes and pastries on the counter, and I saw board with some breakfast items (avocado on toast). The furniture is distressed wood, but there are also some comfortable looking sofas as well. My flat white arrived. In some other places this may have been described as a Cortado. It was a really nice coffee and I enjoyed it.

Friendly welcome. Cheese and tomato croissant was toasted but cheese not melted and tomato cold. Coffee was good but they forgot to bring cinnamon swirl. Probably ok if in the area.

Their pain-aux-raisins is the best I've had in London. I'm impressed. If you're in the area, give them a go.

Popped into Jimmy and the Bee somewhat randomly because I needed a coffee and I am quite happy I did! The flat white was really well done and the barista was incredibly friendly and welcoming— such a warm greeting for the morning. I’ll definitely be back.

Unfortunately a disappointing first experience. Staff wasn’t helpful and condescending.. and as I opened my take away box in the office.. found out they served me the wrong sandwich… 😢

There's always freshly-made food at Jimmy's, and a cool quiet vibe that attracts a more sophisticated crowd ( of course that's me too!😉) It's flooded with cheery natural light inside, or you can sit with your coffee and home--made cake or salad outside in the sun. It feels like family..

This is an instantly likeable business that you want to win. Went in there for a mega coffee and pastry order and everything was real nice. the staff were great. Arnold is a top lad!

Hadn’t been here in a while and rediscovered again a couple of months ago. Lockdown restrictions seem to have brought it into its own, with the staff - none more than Angelo, who takes a passionate delight in explaining what he‘s making, about the on-site curing, etc., and appreciating constructive feedback - being inventive in crafting delicious new food options. There’s a selection of pastries, sandwiches (mainly made to order), and daily specials that usually include scrumptious salads and soups. Many of the specials are essentially vegan, and then you can add/modify as desired. They’ve also started selling really great bread. Normally a spare, simple and surprisingly spacious space, it opens up to the outside in sunny weather. Good wifi, coffee, and fully compostable cups!

I don't really have anything to say except the coffee I had yesterday was fantastic coffee and the service was really friendly.

A lot of thought and effort goes into this little place, great menu with often new treats to try, welcoming lovely staff :)

Jimmy and the Bee is a haven of peace and fresh, healthy food. It's great to step off the wind and chill of Goswell Rd and be lulled into happiness by the friendly service, and quirky background sounds.

Really nice cafe, food and espresso were both very good.

This place has inconsistent messages regarding opening hours, both pre and post Covid. As I write this, they claim they are open 09:00- 15:00 during Covid, but the shutters are down and no one is home. They do not align their opening times with their google advertised opening times. Looks like a nice joint but if you say you’re open, be open.

It's a nice little place that has decent breakfast and usually there's a chance to find an empty seat. Seems like the kind of place that is worth becoming a regular at. Really enjoyed the iced latte last time I was there.

Nice local Cafe with one of the best spinach feta pies in London. Great lunch options as well as cosy tables to have your coffee and work on your laptop. Nice terrace especially when it's Sunny.

Not doubt the coffee is better than almost anywhere else around! You pay the price for sure but it's good. If you're lucky enough to enjoy it just outside in the sunlight...it's a great way of starting your day. Brownies and cakes are tasty too. Staff is kind. Internet is fast. Wanted to try salad or sandwich the other week when I realised nothing was priced. Not even the hot drinks actually. A bit weird...

Visited around noon on a Friday, really busy with one group sat a table doing some kind of business meeting. Staff took some time to notice and serve me, but who eventually did serve me didn't crack a smile and didn't seem helpful at all - which is unusual as staff here are usually really happy/helpful/smiley, although I've not been in this store for ages. Only ordered a croissant and pain au chocolat which were really good, tasting like they'd arrived fresh from France that morning.

Jimmy is one of my favorite coffee shops around. The coffee doesn't even compare to others in the area, and I make special trips JUST to get it! Very good coffee, pastries and sandwiches but it seems like recently I've never been able to find a seat plus also have co-worker space in coffee shop. Internet is faster than Starbucks standard that's the reason why I stopped going even though I was a big fan. Isn't that what every coffee lover wants in a shop? Try your luck, if you can find a seat , it's a nice local coffee shop, great place to hangout.👍

The Fastest internet up to 400Mbps at local area, the best coffee I've had in London. I recommend it to every proper coffee drinkers. You can also enjoy nice sweet pastry and buy coffee for home.

Not sure about this place, is a bit hap hazard . On entering was offered the soup yet it took the third member of staff to be able to tell me what that soup was. Went for a tea and quiche, the quiche was heated but still served pretty cold and the tea was forgotton. Probably won't be going back

Food was really homely and tasty. Friendly staff. However coffee was somehow not that good, thin and not well rounded. Banana bread was rather average too. Cozy interior but quite small.

Cute little coffee place that has everything that could make it a great spot - except for one thing: good coffee 🤔 Unfortunately it's down to the staff as you used to get really good coffee - but latest changes in staff meant (consistent) coffee quality has gone downhill big time... 😐 Time for some barista training ☝🏼

Quaint little café with very friendly service. 3 stars as I’ve had one standout experience, and on my most recent visit, it was sort’ve a miss. My bacon and leek quiche was cooked a little too long and my flat white with almond milk was lukewarm. The quiche and coffee cost £8 so it’s not cheap for a regular or quick breakfast.

Love everything about the place: great coffee, great atmosphere, family & friends treatment - this feels like having your coffee at home. Just, it’s better!
