We sometimes call in for a cuppa, can't beat £2.48 for 2 refillables. We have eaten in here a few times as well & have never had a problem with the food. The only downside is the service at the bar can be slow, think sometimes they must have a staff shortage

We use the Railway Inn and find it to be a place of two halves. People who use this as a good value pub or for good value food. The staff are busy and do their best to keep up with the volume of orders and customers. However if you have limited staff at busy times you must expect to wait and this also goes for the kitchen staff. Unfortunately these staff are the ones to receive the criticism. This lowers their self morale and motivation. Whilst having a bad meal, we were asked if it was OK? We said it was over cooked so unable to eat it. She was very apologetic and asked if we wanted a new meal or a refund. We were given a refund. Amber (we found out her name) gave great customer service that night and is always bright and helpful. We feel Wetherspoons external management, show a lack of respect for those who are working hard and under unnecessary pressure. This is reflected in ratings above on this occasion.

Dreadful place. Food took far too long and was tasteless, small portions. Service suffered because 1 waitress was having tk dk everything. Coffee machine was not working, place was generally diry and very untidy.

Such a shame as I like weatherspoons on the whole but the Rushden branch has Rude bar staff. Selective on who they serve when there is no reason at all not to serve you. The bar staff just don't seem happy or want to work there. Just no order at the bar either, always seems chaos. Very short staffed all the time. Food wait on Saturdays is best part of an hour on the last 3 occasions We've visited. Lots of dirty Tables dirty .....sort this branch out, it's so poorly managed and desperately needs more staff .

It's a spoons with its own theme, standard menu, and managers specials which on this occasion included a mixed grill and alcoholic drink for just over £10. So great value food and drinks, what's not to like.

Whoever is in charge of the staffing needs a talking to. This is one of, if not the most supported drinking establishment in the area. Obviously the pricing helps with this. The issue lies with staffing, the place is constantly understaffed. Now I don’t know if this is down to the management, or the pressures above management. Either way they are missing a trick. The amount of people that leave due to lack of service is crazy, even when there are tables free, the staff simply can’t keep up with the expected demand. Along with this the staff are poorly trained. When they deliver drinks to a table they should automatically collect empties for the journey back. They don’t do this, which ultimately leads to a backlog, and staff assigned to other duties are having to leave their station to help clear the floor. This then creates a negative atmosphere in the area that the assigned staff were dedicated to. It’s just a bit of a mess staffing wise. This ultimately creates unhappy, overworked members of staff and this unhappy, tense atmosphere ultimately spreads to the customers The food for Wetherspoons is pretty good, I’ve never had a terrible meal here and for this price it’s incomparable. I would love to edit my review to a 5 star if somebody can just sort the staffing issues out. The place I supported enough to warrant a strong staffing structure. I’ll revisit this in 6 months to edit if something improves, but having based my review on the past 2 years I’m not holding my breath.

Had breakfast and it was ok. Bacon a bit overcooked and mushrooms a bit on the cold side. Black pudding was nicer than I expected.

Typical weatherspoons pub, not as big as some I've visited. Can become busy at times which also can make it difficult to get to your table. Food and drinks at a reasonable cost. I'm a fairly regular visitor with family. Parking nearby but not at the pub.

Very reasonable priced food and you get a drink included . Not gourmet but mine was lovely ,steak and kidney pudding!

I've been to this location several times, and it's always been a pleasant experience. This time, I had the fried breakfast, which was nicely cooked and enjoyable. The staff here at Rushden Wetherspoons are friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere. Definitely a good spot for a casual meal

I ordered a Sirloin steak. A joke please see pictures. One Mushroom. Peas like marbles. And that is most definitely not a Sirloin steak. Still waiting for someone to ask if my meal was ok.

A lot cheaper than down South!!

Located in the centre of town. Busy on a Friday night, find yourself a table and order your food and drinks through the app. There was a manager special on the mixed grill, the food was edible, nothing spectacular, the meat a little bit chewy but what do you expect for the price. Unlimited hot drinks machine worked fine. A few options on the menu for vegan.

Was in recently having food and a few drinks with my family and want to say how marvelous some of the staff were. I could tell how over worked, under staffed and stressed the bar staff were having to deal with impatient customers who were often rude and selfish to the staff. Amongst all that Amber consistently made her best effort to keep her composure and professionalism and keep smiling, she made my experience very pleasant.

I had steak pudding, the gravy was cold, they took it back and gave me fresh, not a lot of meat in the pudding at all, and it had been microwaved. Typically Wetherspoons food really, edible but not great.

Quite possibly the worst spoons I’ve been in. Food quality of the chain-pub never proclaimed to be Michelin star, however The Railway Inn somehow derails itself completely off quality street with half-frozen pancakes, meagre portions, gristly burgers and cooks who gaslight you into believing sticky-soy tastes like Tennessee BBQ sauce! Even got a pint that was stated to be the dreggs of the barrel, like that hand waves churned up bubble bath ale I was handed! Props to the table servers, at the least. Two strikes - won’t be back here again!

The breakfasts are good value HOWEVER the grilled tomatoes are always raw (even after sending back to be cooked more) same with the mushrooms, out of two drinks machines at least one either isn't working or has run out of something, latest was one was not working and the other putting out dirty looking water that was meant to be coffee, staff informed and response was "we know it's broken" shame as it appears the staff have changed and the care has gone from this place, perhaps the area manager should pay a suprise visit!!

Bar staff try their best but often three deep at the bar. However, a friendly Rushden pub with those famous Wetherspoons prices! I recommend ordering from your table with the app. This works very well.

Amazingly at 9am there are people in here supping ale and eating fried food. What hope the NHS?

Visited today 26.7.24 and had a lovely breakfast. Perfect eggs Benedict. Food was served quickly and delicious !!!

Awful place. Incompetent staff that take 30 mins to deliver drinks. Table was disgusting and not cleaned down for new customers and the most distressing part was security on the front door not knowing drugs were being dealt out in the back and with verbal abuse thrown at anyone showing concern.

Great food and great atmosphere. My Son loves coming here for breakfast.

Ok for a quick pint and the food is very reasonably priced....apparently.

Another great Spoons pub. We spend an afternoon here recently. Good atmosphere. Enjoyed dinner and a few beers. Will visit again.

Only ever pop in here occasionally for a breakfast as a treat. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The food can sometimes be hit and miss. The kitchen staff can't seem to grill a tomato to save their life! They are always raw on the breakfast. Other that that it's a good value breakfast.

Changed my review because they don't do roast dinner on a Sunday. Haven't been in a while but had wi fi which is essential for me to go anywhere, hopefully it still does. Food was good enough too. Glad it exists in this town Edit: does still have wifi. Awesome

Ordered extra cheese with jacket potato and when it come it was just a small amount of cheese ,if you had the cheese altogether it was only the size of a table spoon ,very disappointed Chilli jacket with extra chilli was fine

Can't really fault too much. Stopped off for some food as it was seasonal time and lots of places closed. Food was same as any Wetherspoons, prepared by Chef Mike(rowave), quick and hits the spot. There were a few too many drunk-beyond-beliefs in who just wanted to cause a scene but staff handled them well. I'd come here again if in the area and needing a pint, staff friendly, helpful and smiling despite the issues of unwanteds

Absolutely terrible, been a refular for years and decided to enter my first raffle. Lets just say it anot wgat the (MANAGER) Made out to be. I deposited £12 and then to be told that the staff dont know naything about it. Then also waiting 3 hours in the pu. And then nothing to be drawn. To also be told that it wont be drawn tull the pub is closed.(SUSPICIOUS) Well leadt to say the drinks are fine but* management, organisation, team moral, team communication, leadership and all round public domain. 10000000% needs help. I generally feel that ita all just towarfd the christmas hamper. Sorry if i seem abit negative but when the staff have no clue and say "that's it either go with it or loose" attitude you cant expext much more than a social conversation. Not being funny.But it doesnt take alot to organise a raffle 😂😂😂😂😂

I came in yesterday evening with my Father for a meal and drink, only for it to be interrupted by a rather intoxicated young woman with a very charismatic out going in your face type of personality, which to some myself included at first was quite taken back by. A bouncer on duty reveled to me that this person in question has previously been barred from the premises on at least two occasions and I could certainly see why now, I honestly don't know how he does what he does to be honest. This young woman initiated a few acts of unwanted physical touching which made me uncomfortable to say the least, as did it her male friend who she wasn't in a romantic relationship with by the way, the poor guy looked so embarrassed. This young woman also approached multiple other tables and initiated unwanted conservations and physical contact etc. Drunk or not, this kind of behavior is very unattractive and frankly incredibly unsettling as much as it is intrusive especially to those who just want to come in and have a quiet evening accompanied by a meal and drink etc. Whilst my Father was ordering at the bar, he relayed to me that he witnessed a violent physical fight break out to the extent that glasses where smashed and thrown, security and management where nowhere to be seen. I don't like describing people in this manner, but if it's of any help the bouncer I conversed with is a gentleman of Sub Continent Asian diaspora and he shared with me that she's been barred twice..

We've had a great evening in Wetherspoon. Ordered a meal for three. Service was very quick, and the food was excellent.

As Spoons go, this is a pretty good one. Great staff and great food.

Only popped in for a quick pint, but I was served quite quickly, the reception was warm, and the beer ice cold and very refreshing. There is a nice beer ‘garden’ with plenty of seats. Inside was crowded with lots of people eating. Will definitely be back.

Only popped in for one, stayed for three. Very friendly and polite barman, will definitely call in again when in town.

I know not to expect wonders from a wetherspoons but this one was particularly bad The quality of food was low at best, the speed of service wasn't too bad considering they were evidently severely understaffed The overall cleanliness was low as staff clearly didn't have time to clear tables as there appeared to be at most 2 of them. You get what you pay for but even then I was disappointed compared with other Wetherspoons I've visited and other similarly priced establishments
