Good community pub, been recently refurbished. New management, good choice of drinks. (Oct.24) Sadly, the famous Sunday lunch has gone.

Great pub staff friendly, cheap price beer and was good pint normally I go on pub crawl but decided to have extra pint, I don't come from Liverpool area as I was visiting.

I went to the Railway for a Sunday roast with my husband, Mum and brother. It was really nice and it was all homemade,i had the 3 meat one, everything tasted lovely and there was 4 different vegetable and plenty of gravy. Excellent value, we will definitely be going back.

Practically grew up here I love it, all family and friends, any trouble and they get turfed although I will say there has only ever been trouble once in all the years I have been going and that was a nasty woman who had far too much too drink and targetted a young defenceless girl. But even this was years ago. All around great atmosphere and a big laugh always.
