Fantastic food with a friendly service!!

Wow I went on the 7th of feb and had the buffalo wings and a couple drinks and it was amazing. I had brilliant service great food and great atmosphere would highly recommend.

The portion is rather small, we were expecting chips with the burgers. So if you’re hungry you will need to order a few. The staff were friendly and the food was good. The pub is very trendy.

Friendly, informal just enough. Food never compromises. If they have space for you, they will fit you in. No whining, no sidelooks. Just great.

Very busy place, booked in whist away in the area after a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed!! Personal highlight for me was the buffalo tenders, but even overlooked things like the burger bun were really nice. Great atmosphere, brilliant burgers and fairly priced. Would visit happily do the 1.5 hour round trip from home for dinner

This place is such a gem! Great cocktails/mocktails and craft beers, and an incredible range of veggie and vegan food alongside loads of choice for the meat eaters—the veggie Philly cheesesteak burger might be one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had. Please keep bringing it back 🤤

Staff super friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Food was above and beyond the setting is gorgeous and country style with a pretty kitty called Margo 🤍 Highly recommend and will be back!

If you're paying out for a burger then it needs to be great, fortunately these are fantastic. The chicken burgers (which are in most places disappointing) might even be my favourite here. Fries are very good. The craft beer selection is also great, highly recommended.

I have had the burgers many times and they are very good, as time goes on the portions have got smaller for the loaded fries but other than that a nice pub, staff gave good service and the food was tasty.

Lovely staff and great food. Easily accommodated the 9 of us, and even opened the kitchen a little early for us. Would highly recommend!

Pretty awful experience here! I am genuinely surprised to see so many positive reviews.. Firstly the food... very mediocre. Whilst the burger prices don’t seem wholly unreasonable, fries are not included, so for a decent sized burger with fries you’re paying a minimum of £16 (+ “optional” service charge!). I enjoy supporting smaller businesses, but for those prices I really expect something to be special - there wasn’t. The portion sizes weren't great even when ordering the larger option. The food took a very long time to come , with no apology or warning of a longer waiting time before ordering. When asking a blonde haired female server about the wait, we were essentially told “it’s a Friday night, what do you expect?”, so rude! I think a 40 minute expected wait should be advised before ordering, Friday or not. And the rude response left quite a sour taste in our mouths for the rest of the night. Once we got our food, we weren’t asked once about everything being okay, and in that instance it was when we actually wanted to order more drinks. The employees seemed to be gone for about 15 minutes flirting with one another, so we were completely unable to gain their attention. We finally got the bill, the service had definitely got worse through the night. It felt like the waitress begrudged the fact that we had asked about the waiting time. Still, no asking if our food was ok! The bill was £55 for two burgers, two portions of their cheapest fries and one drink each. Had something stood out we’d have been happy to pay the price, however the service was bad, and food extremely mediocre.

Loved the games and the staff were friendly. Service wasn't great as we asked the waitress for a couple of things (ketchup and then water) that never came. Otherwise, we liked the food.

Stumbled across this place whilst staying at nearby Premier Inn and was pleasantly surprised given it's basic, no frills interior. Delighted to find same choice of homemade burgers in vegan versions. Tasty food and good service.

Always eat here on on annual visit to the new forest. Love the burgers. Wished we live closer due to the good beer and burgers plus the ambience of the pub. Looking forward to our next visit already..

Local pub, very friendly and great burgers and even Canadian poutine.

Our whole experience was great. Really cool pub with a buzzing atmosphere. Excellent drink choices and amazing vegan food offerings too. Even did us a kids meal with the vegan strips for my little one. There's a kids play area outside which entertained her too. To top it all off we even got a visit from the pub cat!

Lovely little pub, tucked out of the way. I was only in for one evening and was made welcome by the lovely staff and the locals. I didn't try the food but there is a great looking menu. Thanks for a pleasant evening and if I'm working that way again I'll deffo be back!!!

Conclusion: Worth a visit. Burger tastes good and Korean menu is interesting. What was disappointing was that ordering and payment were QR, so it was difficult to ask about the menu. The server is friendly, but there is little contact so low rating. Sorry I didn't give you a tip because I used QR.

Great food, drinks and service!

The Railway was simply the best burgers in Dorset but a few changes may change this… The pub has gone back to QR ordering and I think this was the source of confusion with our order where our food was partly delivered and the rest delivered elsewhere. The prices are significantly high for self ordering! The pub did give us a free round of drinks.

We hadn’t booked , pub was empty apart from some locals sat at the bar , every table had a reserved sign on and so we were shoved out at the back room that felt like you weren’t even in a pub as you couldn’t see anything else , we asked to move back in the restaurant part as we weren’t going to stay long and were begrudgingly allowed . The room hasn’t been decorated , I can only guess they’re trying to achieve the shabby look but it looks like a derelict building . The waitress didn’t know what the sauce was even though it seemed to be on most of the items on the menu (I’d never heard of it before) , my gf opted for a burger which was just a sloppy mess on a plate , no garnish , chips were an optional extra , she only ate half cos it was just drenched with so many sauces there was no taste to the burger . I ordered chicken wings that arrived on a saucer (see pic) and again covered in way too much sauce , no garnish , no flavour at all , there’s just no effort or pride in any of the dishes , I’m fully aware it’s mostly deep fried rubbish but at least make it look presentable and tasty . No bottled beers , just Red Stripe lager on tap , needless to say we won’t be back , appalling in every way.

Amazing burgers. Great beer selection from a range of non inbev type breweries. Parking is a bit hit or miss but if we can't be bothered to go all the way to the Butchers Dog this is our favourite. Big garden out back with covered and open seating, table tennis and small kids playground. Spot on.

I have had takeaway a number of times over the years, but this place just gets better and better. Amazing food and I'm lucky to live just up the road. Thank you guys. Joe

Great pub. Highly recommend the burgers, but all the food was very tasty. Easy to order food and drinks on your phone from the large garden at the back. Lovely on a sunny Sunday.

Without doubt my favourite pub in Ringwood. Great food, great atmosphere and Georgie is the absolute best!

This appears to be a small pub, which it is but with a massive covered and uncovered garden. The outside bar has a limited choice, but enough. We did not eat but the food lookd good and the staff were great

We booked in the hope of a meal . There did not seem to be many traditional meals available so we opted for a burger . Mine was halloumi and my partners was a classic beef burger . It had one tiny shred of lettuce , a slab of halloumi and a small brioche roll . The classic beef burger was the same . There was no garnish in any shape or form and was literally chucked on a plate . There was no effort made to make it look appealing . They are trying to achieve the shabby chic look but unfortunately it looks as If it is in the middle of a refurb . There is wallpaper falling off the ceiling and a fire place half ripped out . We paid £32 for this which included one alcoholic drink , a coke and a water . Extortionate for what we had to eat . It was similar to a fast food saver menu. The saving grace was the lovely young waitress she was very nice .

Visited 20/8/23 with a few of my family members and it was a really nice place. The food was delicious, drinks were good price as well as a wide variety, lots of seating areas and the service and staff were quick and very friendly As someone who lives in South Wales, I’m not a local but I will 100% come back again next time I’m in the area!

Great burgers, chilled out none busy week day meal. The burgers we so tasty and the children’s food good quality. Service pleasant basic and none fussy. For a mid week find while on a quick family few days away it was perfect. Would have liked a side salad option to lighten the load of loaded fries and burgers but overall great food. Basic decor, none fussy, could do with a bit to a clean.

I love the craft IPAs at the Railway, there's always something good on and it's great to have places with a decent selection of craft beer. The food is great, I love the burgers, chicken wings and fries. A really great place to have in Ringwood. Good-size beer garden, which can get a bit loud with kids but it's a bit calmer in the evening.

The food was lovely and the service was really friendly. But dissapointed that the outdoor dining area allowed smoking. We'd reserved a table to eat and were put near a large group smoking. There was plenty of space outside with tables in the non dining area, so we moved into the non dining bit to escape the smoke.

Home made burgers were excellent and good value for money. Burgers are home made and there is a good choice. Staff very pleasant and helpful. My wife had the blue cheese and I had the chili burger. Tater Tats were also very good as was the nachos.

I would give it 4.5 stars but Google doesn't allow it. Food was great, staff were really helpful in planning the main course for my son with a dairy allergy. Really friendly staff and good pub atmosphere. However after asking us if we wanted desert and looking at the menu quickly, we were ready to order but 15minutes later they hadn't come back we were the only ones in the pub for food at that point and we needed to leave because our boys were getting tired, which was a little shame. But would still highly recommend 👍🏻

We came in today Lovely burger we both had but where’s the chips For the price you charge and the size of the burgers they are expensive to not have any chips compared to other pub food prices But do keep up the tasty burgers

Stumbled upon this hidden gem! Staying at premier inn (no food available) So went for a walk and found thos place within a 5 min walk... Korean meets American...oh my! Fab food, great bar staff, defo worth another vist

We visited the railway with family and friends and everyone throughly enjoyed it. The menu was brilliant with so much fantastic sounding food, everything we ordered was delicious from the burgers, chicken wings and loaded fries. The desserts were the nicest we’ve had for a long time. Service was really friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

What a hidden gem, by far the best burgers any of us had ever had! We visited for dinner and drinks and had a fantastic evening there, the atmosphere was great, staff were exceptional and so helpful. The menu is so good it was difficult to choose from as we wanted it all. We all had the fried pickles which are utterly delicious and well worth a try followed by burgers all round. There are lots of sides too, including Mac N Cheese which was delicious and dirty fries, we are all so stuffed we didn’t get to try the puddings so we will be coming back soon.

Friendly, good service and things for children to do like table tennis

Worst place I have eaten in years order a burger and you don’t get chip so you think your it’s a cheap meal but it isn’t actually. My mum who is vegetarian couldn’t eat her burger as she described it the worst thing she has eaten. I will not be spending any money in that place again and I would advise others not to!

This was by far the worst food we’ve ever eaten. The vegan ‘chicken’ burger was inedible. The main dishes didn’t come with chips. No condiments. Dirty cutlery. And tiny portions. Staff were okay. Outside garden tables are so old they are almost falling apart. Dine here at your peril No parking!

We had to book this last minute as our hotel restaurant was closed down! We had a party of 30 on a charity cycling tour. They were so accommodating . We spoke to a few members of staff along the way. They sent us menus so we could pre order. The outside space is lovely and they reserved us a whole area . The food all came out together . The food was excellent . Totally recommend to anybody

We've been twice now and quite like this little gem. Staff are lovely and helpful, food was beautiful and delivered quite quickly even though they were busy and the overall place was clean and tidy. They have a nice selection for vegan and vegetarians. They welcome young families and their Family Room/Baby Changing Facilities were great. We'll definitely be going back again

We took our family here and it was really good the burgers are out of this world.

On holiday, booked to eat. Had no drinks we wanted no orange juice or fizzy cider? Sat awkwardly outside, staff were rude and atmosphere bad from minute we walked in. Left drinks (£14 for two drinks) and decided not to eat. Won’t return. Also no locks or lights in toilet?

The staff definitely deserve 5 stars. But looking at their photos, I was expecting more from the burgers. The burger was £14, nothing special, plus £6 for fries which were too spicy and my daughter said about her kids menu, that it is also too spicy. I thought I will discover one of the best burgers but after visiting them, I can reassure you that we will never go back again.

Saturday night, went into the pub for a drink after fishing with my mates. Hadn't even ordered a drink before who I assume is the landlord came round and asked me to leave stating he didn't want me in there. Haven't stepped foot in the pub for years and just fancied giving it ago. Basically took a look at me and my mates and just assumed because we were young (of legal age to drink however) we were troublemakers. Not a valid reason to ask someone to leave. I will be spending my money in a pub that deserves it with a better attitude to customers. Very disappointing from the Railway.

Ordered two burgers, with chicken wings, Mac and cheese and loaded fries for sides. Best meal I've had in a long time. Ordered to takeaway, atmosphere was lively, good vegetarian options, allows dogs and great prices. Definitely will book a table for the future!

A small local pub that specialises in great beer and amazing burgers. The menu is fairly limited as the team here seem to focus on what they do best; good friendly service, selling proper beers and some of the best burgers ever tasted.

Stunning locally sourced food. It was absolutely delicious. The service was relaxed, prompt, and very friendly. What a wonderful evening, with quality food, and at reasonable prices as well. We will be back here when next passing!

Was there for a darts match not the best place as its small and beer and spirits not good seems they have cheap spirits but charges high end prices.

Great pub a short distance from Ringwood offering a wide selection of alcohol. However most importantly their burgers are amazing!

Cracking burgers and nice staff. 2 beers and a heap of food including burgers, starters and sides for £27 ish a head. Definitely recommend. Easy booking through Google maps, don't delay book yourself in.
