A nice pub to sit down and relax after a walk in town. The bartender was very polite and informative. They have many different beers that is worth trying out. I had the meat board and it was very good. But the bread was really really good. I would happely return 😁

Proper cider and lovely cheese and pickle sandwiches. Finally, after 5 years since I last visited (I have spent the time trapped in a cupboard avoiding a conversation between Stephen Fry and Ricky Gervais about the origins of sausage rolls and marmalade shreds), I managed to break out. The first place I went after crawling from a former room used to store files on cleaning records of the Northern line (1990-2020) was the Queen's Head pub. It was still as special as it was in 2020. Please visit soon.

Terrible. I told the staff a man pissed on the women’s toilet floor. in response none of them wanted to clean it up because it’s “outside their job description”. i later went to use the toilet but it was closed. i expressed frustration to what seemed to be the manager and was told it wasn’t their problem. i asked for support in using alternative toilets but was told because i came across rude they wouldn’t help me. i assure you i was not rude just concerned about the provision of female friendly facilities in this popular pub. i am appalled at my treatment. this gent was angry and took it out on me. he was 5’11, white, blonde/brown hair, seemed to be in charge. won’t be back again because of him.

Went there with my partner on a Friday night. A good selection of beer. However, got the Pilsner they had on tap, which tasted almost like a wheatbeer, i.e., a strong isoamyl acetate flavour (banana), a clear indication that there is something wrong with this beer. I go up to the bar, and they tell me that that's what it's supposed to taste like (!), without offering me a new one. I get another lager (which I paid for again), which was ok, but a tad warm. This time I knew better than to complain :)

Sensational little boozer tucked away down a quiet street. Found by chance, entered into a room with the piano being played and not 1 phone in site. Everyone was talking/laughing and the atmosphere was wonderful. A small select offering of snacks and a great bev list. A highlight of our boozer tour of London, not to be missed.

Went to this pub with friends and my girlfriend, expecting a good time. Instead, we were met with outright hostility. My girlfriend accidentally used the men’s restroom, and two regulars decided it was their right to hurl verbal abuse at her and a friend. When we called for the barman to step in and de-escalate the situation, he asked us to leave instead of addressing the aggressive behavior of his “precious regulars.” It’s clear this place prioritizes keeping a toxic crowd over creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for its customers. If you’re not one of their cronies, don’t bother – you’re not welcome here. Disgusting attitude and complete lack of professionalism.

It's a great pub which has real fire. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were good, pretty standard for the area. It was quite busy, but I still got a seat. The only downside is there's only one ladies toilet so there is often a wait.

The truth is that we went on a day when there was not much atmosphere. A typical London pub, nothing more, but the waiters are very capable. Since I don't like IPA, they gave me options but I didn't know them and so they gave me a taste of the beer before ordering any :)

Great choice of beers. Unfortunately our visit was ruined by being told aggressively that the bar would be closing at 11 on four separate occasions from the time we ordered (around 10:40) and 11:05 when the barman turned over all the stools on the adjacent table and stood over us until we'd finished our drinks. Won't be back in a hurry

Depends what you're looking for in a pub. I'd just visited Calthorpe Community Gdns 2 mins away. Sitting on a Chesterfield by the window, I got a sweet waft from the spray of lilies on the sill, like I was still in the gardens. And the Redemption Session Pale on cask had some floral, lavender twangs before delivering a hoppy hoof to the back of the palate. Maybe only 2 of the 3 cask pumps were on but a really tempting and varied selection on keg. Including a saison which you don't see every day of the week. The hanging sign outside is faded in the sun, meaning it is easily overlooked if walking down Gray's Inn Rd. Some might say the pub looks dated. Or in need of a refurb. I've been in pubs where original woodwork and tiles are over-painted in slate grey to bring them "up-to-date". Personally, I'd say this pub is pretty damn sick just the way it is. Truly feels more like a sanctuary than just a pub. And not just saying that coz I got my CAMRA discount!

The pub is about a 15 mins walk from Kings Cross train station. A cozy back street pub which has an nice airy feel about it (with a lovely skylight) and an upright (piano) which apparently someone had been playing prior to my arrival to meet friends. They have a nice selection of craft type beers. (I had a porter which was really good.) And if you are a member of CAMRA show your card for a discount) I believe they did food, but didn't see any. And because it's close to Kings Cross station several groups of people with suitcases called in, had a drink then left. Which is an excellent idea. So next time I'm going on a train journey from Kings Cross, I think I will have a relaxing beer there rather than wait in an over crowded station.

This remains one of my absolute favourite London pubs. Revisited on Saturday c17.00 to find it busy, lively, chatty...but got served quickly and found a superb rectangular dining table for the four of us to sit at. The Porter on draught was excellent. The malts remain an eclectic, reasonably priced range which is island orientated - great ! On leaving we walked past a happy , friendly clientele...uncannily like a Hogarth print. I feel very at home here!! Keep it up you Queens!

Lady behind the bar was so friendly and chatty, which can be rare when you arrive at opening as they are setting up. This pub is a real gem and only a few mins walk from Kings Cross station. Just down greys inn road a bit. They do cold plates of cheese etc if you need a bite to eat as you enjoy their beers. We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.
