It used to be one of the best pubs in Eynsham! Not anymore, soulless and unwelcoming. The staff aren’t interested in doing their basic job. Took us 10 mins to get served even though there was no queue and the atmosphere in there was shocking. People shouting and creating a scene. Yet no one controlled it.

Under new management since July 2023. Friendly staff, good beer and cocktails, wood fired pizza (no gluten free options yet) with a good atmosphere. Two bars and a garden with regular entertainment.

A lovely little pub with an odd but subtle peaky blinders theme. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was really tasty.

Fair priced place to eat Came here for a date night. Really nice atmosphere which was busy but not rammed on a Saturday night. The music playlist was especially good. All the staff were friendly and professional. The food was pretty good. The chicken wing starter was the best of the courses. Both mains were cooked well (pizza and ribs). Dessert was a bit disappointing as the brownie was a little burnt. However, for the price I think everything was fair. Would go again.

We booked for a lunchtime meal for 7. We ended up with a great atmosphere, great food and fantastic service. Everyone was still saying about the food in the evening. We will definitely be visiting again.

A true hidden gem of the village. Dined there twice during our stay In the village food is absolutely amazing, the Sunday dinners are exceptional, book early to avoid disappointment they had ran out of beef by the time we had got there, our fault for eatting late. My partner had the nut roast and it was truly amazing, good pint of cask ale to best I had in the village. Great serving staff fantastic little pub.

What a great experience. We initially visited on a Wednesday evening prior to visiting time at Oxford Hospital. The atmosphere was wonderful, and obviously popular with the very friendly locals. Our meals were superb,… and large (especially the onion rings! ) Time was tight so we had to forego the desert; however, we returned on Friday and enjoyed a leisurely meal. This, again, was of great quality. Really friendly staff. I can really recommend this great pub.

Popped into the Queen's Head on the way back through Eynsham from Blenheim Palace. Greated by very friendly staff and locals, who made us feel very welcome. We were recommended the rib and chicken wing combo and we are very glad because it was delicious! Finished with the sticky toffee pudding and custard, even though we didn't have any room. And it was all gluten free! We would recommend the pub to anyone who is looking for a great meal and the atmosphere of a village local.

Really good atmosphere & good service

Take Away pizza! Well, I only got to sample the pizza during a visit to a friend. I had the vegetarian option - fungi - which was divine. Loaded with cheese and the truffle oil smelled amazing! I would certainly recommend. The only minor complaint was that the crusts were a bit scorched and crispy, but the toppings made up for it.

Really nice little village pub! Quite a hectic atmosphere which we actually really enjoyed, was lovely being around lots of people having a good time. The food was really fantastic, I had a surprisingly light and flavourful rack of ribs with lovely Slaw and chips. My partner had a chicken and brie burger which she enjoyed but I think we both would have quite liked some greenery somewhere on the plate. Completely understand if they forgot however as it was very busy. Overall a good experience!

Fave village pub in Eynsham. Staff are always SO friendly. Food is top notch. Been for the roast and the main menu - both were lush. The sauce on the creamy garlic mushrooms is *amazing* Life hack - get it as a starter and keep the sauce to dip the rest of your meal in!

We recently spent a week visiting the Eynsham area and returned to this little gem of a pub several times. We dined here twice and can definitely recommend the food - I loved the king prawn linguine and the cheese board was a perfect treat to round off the meal. Good selection of wine and ales to suit both myself and hubby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we will be certain to visit again when in the area.

Everything was really good. Right from the start, brilliant attitude from the Manager and manageress. Food - I had the spare ribs... really lovely. Beer - first time I didn't chop and change from one to another. Manager suggested a local beer - it was great and I stuck with it (I am pretty fussy!). Highly rate this pub, they've made the effort through hard times and good times and it has paid off. I would go out of my way to visit here! First class - thanks for a splendid evening!

Steak night on a Tuesday... the most mouth watering steak I’ve had for a long time, cooked to perfection so melted in mouth. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure

Used to be my local still a good pub in a village of quite a few. One of the few villages you can still have a good pub crawl.

They say you can have a table for lunch if you pre-order on a specific day. You then call to pre-order only to find that they haven't booked you in. In an unrelated topic, I have a spare Queens Head menu if anyone needs one?

Landlord n staff sound. Andre the chef Jamaican's special are banging ! Roast is cracking. - Winner all round.- Bosh ! We will be back.

Cute family pub, brilliant food, quickly prepared (even while the pub was busy) cooked in various specialist ways (authentic Jamaican dishes, outdoor pizza oven) competent informative and friendly staff. People and dogs are made to feel very welcome and "Django" the resident pooch, kept us entertained. Must check this little pub out ^_^

Excellent Sunday lunch. Good service. Good food. Plenty of choice. We go here frequently on a Sunday. Always good food with tasty selection of fresh vegetables. Reasonable selection of wine for a pub.

They are unprofessional, staff at the queen's will not acknowledge your dietary requirements, they look down and belittle you for requesting any changes made to the food/price. The beer is served at a higher price in the garden but at a much lower quality. Very poor quality of service.

Work lunch time treat. Lovely atmosphere and friendly owner and cute dog too. We had sharing starters of camembert with chili jam and chutney, I had Jamaican chicken with rice..good size portion..didn't need coleslaw which came with it, only my opinion.. hot dish with coleslaw. Wine gorgeous.. good lavazza coffee to follow. Peaky Blinders themed.. definitely go back.
