Not the most child friendly pub, if you have young kids below you the age of 4 or 5 this isn’t the right pub, as they have no tolerance for kids running round! Recommended if you haven’t got kids with you, I would give it 2 and a half star haven’t got that option!

First time here in this pub as my brother recommended it. And I am so glad he did. The owner john is a very friendly and lovely person to speak to and more of a friend rather then a businessman trying to make money. Always chatty and smiling. The pub itself has 2 different ways of life to it. The first is old fashioned, quiet and with locals. Just my kind of place personally. The second way of life is that it really does come alive during the weekends and at nights. Also it is split into 2 sections. One side is very homely while the other side is very trendy. even tho this Is my first time here, haven't even got halfway down my first pint yet but straight away I feel at home, relaxed and very very comfy. It's one of them pubs where it's like cheers "everybody knows your name" once you been in here. As soon as I said my name to the owner and that my brother and he's wife came in here, he shook my hand , smiled and engaged in conversation. Seems normal but believe me... I have been in that situation before only to have the answer of "oh right" take my money then they go. But john actually took time out to speak to me as I sipped my pint and asked how things are. Simple little touches like that goes a very long way. So far so good... And I can see myself being a regular here each time I come down. The price is very very competitive too for the beer. Just my kind of place to be 😃 also just went out for a cigarette and as I was going to go out the front john said there was a garden at the back where I can smoke. The garden is amazing. Split into 3 sections. One on a raised concrete platform, the other section is under a massive Hood to protect from the rain and the 3rd is a fenced of grass garden with flood lights. Perfect family setting. Been here for 30 minutes and already on first name terms with the owner. How many people can actually walk into a pub and say that? Not many. Negative side? Well... No actually. Very Competitive priced drinks, nice garden, nice people.... Ideal pub for anyone 😊 totally recommended and even tho I don't live here and on a flying visit, with 3 other pubs.... I already found my local for when I am here 😃😃

My second time eating here and what a disappointment. The food looked great but lacked seasoning and flavour. They had a table of 13 in for lunch and the kitchen seemed unable to cope with the service as our food took ages and was not of a standard that you would expect at the price that they charge. The head waiter is full of chit chat when you arrive but when you complain about the quality of the food or the speed of service he simply dismisses you and is totally uninterested. The fish course was like warm and lacked flavour. They add 12.5% service to the bill for poor food and poor service. I was not convinced the first time I ate here but after the second time it will define the last time. Really disappointing all round.

Super friendly cafe, and I love that they grilled my panini sans oil or butter, which adds so many unnecessary calories. I got the Medford, which was chicken, pesto, romaine, cheese, and tomato, it was on a multigrain bread I think. It wasn’t the best sandwich ever but it was good and decently healthy. I also got a hibiscus tea, which was a brand I hadn’t seen before (Garden Andes), and a breakfast croissant sandwich and muffin to go. I didn’t like the muffin but the breakfast sandwich was quite yummy. They also have a lot of chocolates and gave samples! There are stairs. I did not see an alternative to the stairs.

Great location tucked away off mkt square , great space , great atmosphere even early on in the evening had a great buzz. All staff superb , attentive and informed . We asked for a slight variation from the menu and were accommodated immediately. Food was fresh and delicious. Reasonable pricing . Really top spot will be back and will encourage others to visit . Please don’t change what you have it really hits the mark .
