Delicious food, amazing service

Everything we, as four friends,have tasted were delicious. All cold mezes, sea bass fish, chichken shish and beyti were traditionally good. We are greateful to be hosted here😊 definitely we'll be back soon again.

It was a mid week lunchtime when I visited Ephesus with my friend so it was very quiet. The food was good and quick and the waiter was very polite. I would return.

Hidden gem in the lovely village of Seven Oaks. Great food, cake piping hot to the table, must try the lamb shank and the mousaka.. good food at good prices.

We love going here - the food is delicious and service is great! The garlic mushroom dish is a must each time.

Good food However, the manager got upset when we asked her to cook the chicken a little more. They gave us a part of it that was not 100% cooked. ! Good food but terrible service from the manager! A shame

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Sevenoaks. The food is always really nice, fresh and it tastes authentic, and there's a good choice on the menu . The cocktails are very good and there's a good range to choose from. The staff are always lovely and they remember their regulars. I'd really recommend you visit!

Went to Ephesus for a meal tonight was greeted with a smile and friendly staff we had the meat mezay board was great food would defiantly reccomend , new vibes, new style and under new management

When here on a weeknight, dining in Sevenoaks I didn’t expect much but this place under new management is amazing, full fine dining restaurant, food and service staff were outstanding

SERVICE was slow and unprofessional. Overpriced food, that was in fact BASIC. Emailed them after meal to complain, received NO RESPONSE. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE.

Attended the restaurant on Mother's Day and was very disappointed. We was messed around prior to our booking where we was told the restaurant would not be selling alcohol on Mother's Day. We wanted to change venue as we was planning on celebrating but due to the lack of time between this and our booking we couldn't get in anywhere else. However, randomly we received a call just before Mother's Day to say they will now be selling out alcohol - weird?! Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were given 'set menus'. We weren't informed prior to our booking that we could not choose off the standard menu and that our choices would be limited. This was very annoying and we wish we was told beforehand as some of the dishes we would of liked to order were not available on the set menu. The drinks were stale and flat. Almost, like they had been sitting there for days. I am not sure if this has anything to do with their issues with licencing? My mum ordered an alternative red wine as she couldn't stand the taste, but this was also stale. A simple diet coke was also flat... The food was OK despite the small portion of bread for starters that we had to share between six of us. We left our meal not feeling very satisfied for the money we paid (which was £350!). Out of curiosity, I decided to check the prices of the standard menu comparing to the set menu (which was £36pp) as we thought this was pricey for two courses. I have been to restaurants which were a lot nicer and paid £32 for three courses… We wrote an email to ask why we was charged an extra £55 on top of our meal just for having a set menu but we received no response or a call to clarify why we was overcharged. I would avoid at all costs.

Went for lunch with my family including 2 children and the experience was absolutely delightful! Starting by the customer service by the waitress and waiter followed by the food. Thank you so much! We will be back

It was okay for what it was. Not from the area but a few people recommend it so that says something. The dj was decent. We didn't eat. It's probably the best thing in the area if you want more than just a local pub. You can have food then have a boogie later.

Just disappointing. It’s probably hard catering for a big group but I didn’t think anything was done all that well. The steak had no sauce at all and just a bowl of chips. I don’t count a tiny bowl with dry lettuce and half a tomato. The lamb shank had no sauce at all and came in a bowl of water with three diced carrots and one potato floating in the water! It looked poor… The profiteroles were flat with no cream. These are just simple things to put right but the staff rather lacked the decorum to ask if things were ok. The whole thing took too long and many had left before the desserts arrived. As I said, just all slightly disappointing. Nothing is cheap these days so the bar needs to be higher at restaurants like these. Oh, and have you read the set response to poor reviews on here? It’s scandalous!! So much better to apologise and say you’ll try and do better next time. The owner here needs to think again very quickly.

Had to complain twice about the starters that we spent £40 on to discover that they 'sent the wrong ones' waited two hours f9r main courses l... would recommend anything else. When it arrived, the food was cold but okish

I went in a very large group. We took an hour before we ordered because of chat. The staff were amazingly patient about this. The food was really fabulous and the service was quick, efficient and humorous. A really great evening thank you.

Superb vegetarian mezze, really wonderful. Excellent service. Music far too loud in the main restaurant, but fine in the garden room.

Terrible service, almost two hours passed and no food was given. Manager was very impolite and treated us with disrespect.

Really enjoyed it here. Food was lovely and staff friendly and helpful with one of our dietary requirements. Didn't stay mega late but Friday night DJ seemed like it was building into a fun session.

I would never eat in this restaurant because you serve calfes liver!

This is probably one of the worst restaurants it has been my misfortune to visit for many years. The majority of the food was luke warm and some of our parties food was completely missed off the order. The manger was very aggressive in his attitude when approached about a discount. There are a lot nicer restaurants in Sevenoaks

Never again! WE GOT LOCKED IN! And they called the police on us! Had a birthday meal and the service was stocking, wrong drinks which was taking them 30 minutes each time from ordering them missing starters. (took 2 hours) the bill come out and there was a debate about the price. So people with baby’s/kids wanted to go and pay the person who paid later. They told us none of us was allowed to leave and locked the door even tho it was only 5-6 going and you can imagine it didn’t go down well! We tried to explain but they wouldn’t have it and the loader it got more people got involved. Such a bad experience

Cannot recommend enough. Table of 9, service was friendly and fast and the food was spot on. Cooked to perfection. Drinks topped up regularly and staff really happy. DJ from 9pm, fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!

Called in on the off chance on a bank holiday Minday afternoon. As always the welcome was genuine and warm. The food and service was excellent.

Quiet Wednesday evening but relaxed and not rushed. Nice meal.

Great addition to the Sevenoaks nightlife but do get in early enough as doors close at 11.

Catered for us as a group of 9 walk in on Mother’s Day, food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long even though was all cooked fresh. We also were able to see them cooking our food which was nice for all to see especially the children, I have to say the starter was one of the best prawn cocktails I have ever had it was so packed with prawns and sauce, was truly yummy! Mains also come out tasty, hot and full of flavour. We will definitely be back to try some more of the menu. Thank you for having us :)

Myself and my husband have visited ephesus in sevenoaks 4 times and have always ordered the ten chicken wings with the rice and salad. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. One time we went and ordered the same food at Orpington ephesus and noticed the price was £16 rather than £12 at the sevenoaks restaurant. The chicken was bland and only one set of rice. The chicken was greasy and oily. Yesterday 18 Feb 2023. We attended the sevenoaks restaurant and you ordered the chicken wings with rice and salad. The menu has changed to the orpington price of £16 there were less wings, one set of rice, the wings were greasy oily and tasteless, hardly anyone in the restaurant, has completely gone downhill since the menu and price change. Never coming here again.

Terrific lamb shank. Tasty and tender. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Genuinely avoid, the smallest portions and they charge an absolute fortune, they charged 37 for a small meal and desert. Awful especially when there’s a cost of living crisis.

One of the worst experiences ever they wouldn’t let us stay as we were too young at 20 years of age let alone there are people inside who are much younger. Just because we are young males we are not allowed to stay. We offered to put a high deposit down yet we were declined

One of the worst bars I have visited staff were rude change the rules each week on drinking rules will never return again I advise nobody to ever come here unless you would like an awful night out

Ephesus is a fantastic spot for Turkish food in the area of Sevenoaks. It’s just off the main area and is a well decorated and modern restaurant. We ordered the meat meze menu which included a sharing platter of 9 cold starters, 4 hot mezzes and a huge grill of mixed meats. The dips and starters were perfect for sharing and getting started. The meats were well grilled and delicious and huge in portion. I believe there was a tiny bit of MSG but food in general was fresh and delicious. All paired well with some wine. Highly recommend if in the area!

Fantastic experience in this restaurant! We went here with family following our small wedding celebration and the staff couldn’t have done more for us. They allowed us to utilise a private room within the restaurant and Akin, Amir and Nil served us to an outstanding level. Food was great and all the small touches in our drinks (like lemon peel hearts) were so appreciated. We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you Team Ephesus for making it so special!

Lovely restaurant with an excellent outdoor area with retractable roof, felt like we were on holiday with our cocktails sat outside! Food was delicious and staff were attentive without being over the top. Would recommend

Good food nice atmosphere and nice staff. We had a great time and will return. Be ready for a nice surprise once you enter the premise you will pleasantly be surprised by the buzz of the place. It is typical for a tapas style restaurant and might need to wait a bit longer than usual for your order, but it gives you the opportunity to chat with the staff and other customers. It is part of the charm 😁🍻😊 There is no parking so will have to walk a bit from the nearest car park/ parking. We like the place and will go back. Try it and enjoy!

My family have always enjoyed going to ephesus. Not so sure about the new format. The food lost its lackluster. My friend and I go for the 2 for 1 cocktail a couple of nibbles then leave. As a family found hattusa more agreeable for us. Sorry you asked

Went here with my wife and 3 kids early evening on Friday. Sat out in the garden area which was really nice. Service was excellent. Food was superb. Owner and staff were very helpful, especially with my wife’s gluten allergy. Will be returning.

Amazing restaurant, great food and great price. I had the grilled sea bass and my girl got the chicken shish and we both throrougly enjoyed. The meals were well cooked a d presented. The cocktails were great and we made use of their Happy Hour. The outdoor seating is beautifully designed and makes lunches and dinners in summer amazing. The roof is also retractable so I can still see this outdoor area being comfy in the colder months. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and will be back soon.

I'm not here to criticise, just actually trying to help, in a way. Let me explain... When arriving here at around 7-7:10 tonight, we were sat down (table of two) and everything seemed good. I understand its a busy time on a Saturday so I was ready to wait and relax with drinks and conversation with my girlfriend. We ordered drinks, they arrived relatively quick considering they were cocktails and we proceeded to order our food. Things were looking good and we were enjoying the evening together. After around 25 minutes the starters arrived. In all fairness they were very tasty and enjoyable, they were cleared around 15/20 minutes after finishing them...the mains didn't arrive. I asked for the bill at around 9:25 (2 hours after arriving). Here's where I'll try to help... If I know that someone has been waiting for their food for over an hour then the least I would do is come and explain that I know they're waiting and try to sympathise with them, not just walk past them like they're not there. People just need to know that you know. After asking about the food a couple of times with different staff, nobody came back to inform me what was happening. We just sat there wondering...we've been here 2 hours and only had starters. If you guys just explained then we would have been more than happy to wait. On attempting to pay for what we have had (believe me I was ready to walk without paying through sheer frustration) I had no choice but to try to communicate with the waiter next to a massive speaker and couldn't understand a word that's being said. Taking me to one side and giving any sort of explanation would have been more appreciated. Last thing...if two people have been in your restaurant for 2 hours and only received their starters, then at least offer a discount of some description. Okay we had 4 drinks and 2 starters...but £52?

Superb find. One of the best Lamb Shish Kebabs I have had in 40 years. Good prices and excellent service for all 8 of us. Hoping to find the Orpington Ephesus is up to the same standard.

Disappointing. The kebabs were precooked and finished on the grill rather than freshly grilled. The houmus and moussaka were tasteless and £29.95 Christmas menu for 2 courses with limited choice not good value. Also no lactose free bread available so my daughter was given a carrot instead. Compares poorly with other Turkish restaurants.

We sat in the semi outside area. It was very chilly after sitting there for a while. I was not offered a blanket but asked for one when I saw them given to another person. Food was very nice but too long to be served to us. My advice now in the colder weather is to eat within inside the restaurant.

If your looking for somewhere to have a good night out this place is for you. Amazing cocktails and food is delicious. The atmosphere is great they have a DJ playing music and you can even get up and have a dance what's not to love about this place, but if you just fancy a night in with great food they do take aways which I have also tried and that was as nice as eating in the restaurant.

Had an excellent lunch here, the staff were friendly and efficient, but did not rush us. A very relaxed atmosphere. The food is superb, well worth a visit.

Been here quite a few times and fabulous. They have now introduced very LOUD music and on the Friday night we went, you could not hold a conversation or hear each other speak. We asked if the music could be turned down slightly but, no, on leaving, discovered why, someone had decks set up in the main restaurant, we were seated in the garden. If they are holding club nights over the weekend, they should tell customers on booking. Our evening was ruined. Lovely food as always but will no longer be going back, plenty of other good restaurants in Sevenoaks to choose from - a real shame!

Love this place! The restaurant has a good vibe and food always on point. Lamb Sish was so soft and tender like Turkish delight. Their pita bread is heavenly. Very friendly staff and ownwr. Great value for money as well and food portion are nothing like the usual restaurant in London and around.

Best night last Friday! EPHESUS was going off. Delicious food and cocktails and even better DJ 😍
