The Quays cafe is right along the southern gateway to the broads. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good service and drinks along with cakes etc. The views are amazing . Oulton Broad is a well known as a thriving centre for watersports, with powerboat racing, canoeing and its Thursday night speed boat racing. Could spend a time just watching the boats etc ,but this is a great place to stop.

Arrived 3:30 and asked if they were still serving food. Willingly and extremely helpfully they said yes. Absolutely saved our little family trip as we were with the grandparents and our kidlets who were starving! Beautiful service, good paninis, amazing staff. Thank you so much!!!

Pleasant location by Oulton Broad. We had a hot chocolate and an iced coffee and both were good. There were no toilets which we found surprising.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Due to covid restrictions couldn't go inside to read the menu and the chalkboard menu only listed sandwiches, we realised there were other choices when other guests who knew the restaurant ordered. Husband really enjoyed his cheese and onion toastie, he said perfect ratio of cheese and onion. My toastie was a little bland and disaapointing. However I would come back because the prices were good and it was a lovely spot to sit and watch the boats bobbing on the broad. The girl who served us (sorry didn't catch her name but she has awesome tattoos) was really friendly and helpful. The shop next door had some beautiful clothes and jewellery and I really enjoyed browsing in there.

Was going to have a light lunch here, but it was full of dogs, one very large dog was blocking the entrance and there were several more inside. If you like dogs, this may be acceptable but if you don’t, or have an allergy, it most certainly isn’t. We didn’t bother to stay and eat. Shan’t go back again. I only gave one star as it is impossible to submit, otherwise

We discovered The Quays while on a Boating holiday on the Norfolk Broads. It's right by the Yacht Station, so excellent for a coffee and bacon sandwich for breakfast as well as tea and cake at any time of the day.

We haven't been for a while....it used to be our regular go to for coffee....but some of the staff need a lesson in how to make a latte and it tastes awful now too....i think they use UHT milk which is dire. Won't be returning. Such a shame as the view is lovely.

We popped in here as we were in the area for a snack and sat at outside tables with the dog. Two of us had scrambled egg on toast and the egg was great, light and fluffy, and there was one who had a bacon sandwich who asked for the bacon to be cooked extra crispy which they did for him. We all had coffee which like the food was excellent and seeing that I am very fussy about my coffee is a great recomendation. The staff were very friendly and chatty.

These sort of places with views like theirs surpasses the service and the food. It really was just average and one of my pet hates is cold hot chocolate. I did tell them and they put it in a microwave but then it was boiling. Wouldn't go back

Ordered two drinks - a black coffee and a cappuccino. The black coffee had a skin on it and the cappuccino was only half full. We took a sip each, and without a word we knew it was time to move on. Grim.

While walking around the area stopped here for coffee. Coffee was average but my wife enjoyed her White Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows. The only problem was the one most places like this suffer from on Hot and lovely winters day - too many customers - not enough staff. Still it was lovely sat in the sun watching the world go by.

Have visited this cafe on a regular basis over the years but the coffee has gone downhill tastes like they use UHT milk which makes it taste awful th8s 8s why we have stopped going. Place looks like it could do with a revamp. Hardly ever open and the staff are no longer welcoming. There are better cafes about.

Popped in with few of my friends. Waited for ages for food though there were no other people waiting go be served. My friend found something in his panini and been told it was a bit of fluff. Owner attitude disgusting. Food presentation very poor. All it would take it would be few leaves of rocket to garnish. Leaves a lot to be desired. Please be aware.

We have been coming here for years - fabulous Italian Coffee, lovely people who run it and along the Quay there is a great sense of community. Always someone to chat to, often see other greyhounds and just an amazing place to sit and watch the world go by. It would be nice in the colder weather to be able to take the dog inside but understand why not. The adjoining gift shop is elegant and sells beautiful items. v

On a visit to Oulton Broad we called in to this small and nicely situated cafe which was being run by two very helpful young ladies. We were only here for a coffee and a tea cake each but we were treated as though we had ordered a full meal. The coffee, tea cakes and prices were good. There is a nice seating area outside where you can watch the boats and their antics and keep an eye on the lock gates, toilet facilities are next door and parking is close by.

Sadly to say was disappointed. Let’s start off with the positives, ordered a burger with a Stilton and spring onion sauce, hand cooked chips onion rings and coleslaw. The coleslaw was really creamy, the chips and onion rings were delicious. And the bun was fine. Bottle of wine was lovely. That’s where it stops, my burger was tough and over done, but I could get over that, it was the Stilton and spring onion sauce. A sludge with no flavour. Not even a smidgeon of Stilton flavour. I did ask the waitress where was the Stilton? She said, bless her, that I can see you have had some (where?) think she meant the sauce, no Stilton or even flavour on my plate. She offered to go and get some more. I was horrified when she came back with this pallid gloopy sauce in a dish (some that had already been thrown over my burger) that tasted of absolutely nothing. Yuk. Surely if Stilton is the first named ingredient in the sauce you should be able to taste something? Got hubby to try, he understood my disappointment .,From my comments you will know I did ask and said I wasn’t happy. Not her fault. The kitchens . So… if you like Stilton don’t go for the burger with Stilton and spring onion sauce. All you get is insipid pale tasteless gloop. Oh and the sauce on the burger made the lettuce go soft and slimy, no crunch, and goodness knows what happened to the tomato. Soft and slimy too. To be honest I am fairly local, but wouldn’t go back.

Bit on the lumpy side. Starter was salmon and prawn. 1st time I came sauce was great. Second none. I'm sure the fish dish is wonderful but the steak I had wasn't so great. Pudding was a delight. Sadly for a Friday it was very quiet
