I went to the Quarter, for a pre show meal with a couple of friends. I got the fish and chips of the specials menut for £15.95 , and I'm so glad of my choice , absolutely delicious, a good size fish and well worth the money, I will definitely be returning

This place is a wonderful surprise! We suggest the cookies and cheescake!!! A dream!!! The staff also is very kind…. Five starsss!!!! Top!

Been here a few times and again it was as consistent as ever with the food, wine and service. Had the Vodka Toffee Tiramisu, which was an epic portion...!!

I've been to this restaurant a number of times over the years and found this experience to be the best hence the scores.

Honestly underated spot layout is confusing at first but it ticks all off the boxes for me. There is literally no room for improvement other than where to go and which door to take etc but, if you have anything about you you can make it in and enjoy food no bother.

Have been here on a number of occasions and loved it. But this time the service was not great, with food coming before our drinks were served, portions had shrunk, and so had the choice on the menu. I had to pay extra for custard with the bread and butter pudding. Probably all a reflection of food inflation and staff shortages. All in all, a less than special start to a night out.

Been going here for years and it NEVER fails to disappoint. The food is amazing and so is the vibe of the place. Niall served my grandfather and I tonight and he was lovely, very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. My favourite restaurant in the world!

I visited The Quarter on a Friday lunch time, it was fairly busy with a variety of clientele; couples, families, and colleagues. I was a walk up and accommodated with a table quickly and efficiently. I thought I might wait a while to see served but within a few minutes a server asked if I wanted a drink and if I needed more time to decide what I wanted. I order drinks and nibbles at this time and within 10 minutes my pumpkin and sweet potato soup served with bread, and my saffron arancini were served, piping hot and tasting very fresh. The soup was thick, rustic, and felt homemade. The arancini was very rich, served with fresh shavings of parmesan, luckily it is served with a sharp tomato and basil sauce which cuts through the richness. This was an impromptu solo lunch whilst I waited for my daughter to finish her LIPA audition which is literally 2 mins walk away. The staff were very attentive, friendly, very busy, and quick to help. I was checked on once and the bill was brought promptly. The restaurant area and the ladies were very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasure to eat here and I will return.

Thank you for hosting a large group, at very short notice today, Monday 26 February 2024. As we were hosting a tour of colleagues from Norway, timelines were tight, but the excellent food, amazing service and great team ensured that everyone was fed before their next stage of the tour. Thank you to Matthew who took the booking, the rest of the team and the amazing chefs and kitchen staff too.

Good food, good service, very pleasant atmosphere.

Whilst it is a great location and clearly busy and popular, I am not a fan of being dictated to about what we can and can not order for Breakfast - certainly not for the price (£6.50 for basic (3) egg omelette with cheese - before you add any additions)! We were told no changes could be made, so frankly ordered something different of a lesser value. Overall, it was well cooked (a little over done on some scrambled eggs), but a bug bear was that on a different plate, toast was served soggy with poached eggs on top of it! Pleasant, but we we won't return.

Lovely place but ordered the penne al’arrabiata and was disappointed. There was no sauce consistency it seemed like just tomato purée with a hint of chilli and the chicken resembled the pre cooked pieces you get in the deli section. Also the portion is rather small for £15. My friend’s meal looked great though.

I booked The Quarter to take my parents out to lunch last weekend and had the most amazing time. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding. Thank you all so much for an amazing experience.

I had a American pizza it looked very boring & plain .the chef or cook needs to work on the pizza £15 well over priced . Don't let me put you off . Go just don't have a American pizza

This restaurant is beautiful, comfortable with a fabulous atmosphere and great music. I had the Greek salad and hummus - both were delicious. The Bakewell tart pud was delicious and light - the best I have tasted in a long time. I can strongly recommend this restaurant - definitely go - you won’t regret it.

I cannot comment on the food only the service....it was abysmal. I came in and was slowly seated. After approx 8 mins a couple arrive and take the table beside me, a few minutes later a server comes and takes their order... meanwhile I'm sat there dumfounded wondering if I'm Invisible. I get up and leave. Lucky Papillon is next door, where service is fab.

Really disappointed as reviews have been so good on here. Visited this weekend and had the famous pizzas. Had to send back to the kitchen as the dough was still wet but that’s forgivable. When they came back the bases are really pale and have zero flavour or seasoning on them and toppings were bland. Desserts were mostly cream and again no real distinct flavours. The olives to start and the chunky chips were really good and service was fantastic. Again, just disappointing after reviews abs looking forward to it all week

I've been here a few times for breakfast. The food is prepared and served with care and presented nicely, and the staff are very courteous and attentive.

We went here for dinner as part of our weekend stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is absolutely amazing, I had the penne fungi and it was delicious, it was my husband’s birthday and they brought him a dessert with a candle in and made a fuss of him. We had a really lovely experience and I would recommend The quarter to anyone and would definitely come back here the next time we visit Liverpool

this place is AMAZING- the food was absolutely delicious with each dish being creatively original and not like anything I had seen before. The atmosphere of the restaurant was possibly the best I have ever experienced; everyone was well cared for and subsequently happy, creating a positive and free atmosphere where everybody were comfortable in having their individual conversations and enjoying their food amicable. Will definitely be returning!

I was both surprised and disappointed that I could not have a smaller breakfast as I didn’t want every item on the full breakfast. (The waiter told me that they are not allowed to change the menu). I therefore had to order a full breakfast and leave the items I really didn’t want. What a terrible waste of food ( and money)! This is not taking into account customer preferences and is contributing to food waste.

Come every time I am in Liverpool. Just love everything about it. Service, food and atmosphere.

What a lovely gem of a place. Found by accident but will return

The food was variable, some not great, some lovely. The service was so slow, taking over an hour between each course.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of their dishes. The Carbonara was rich and creamy, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of cheese and bacon. The Bolognaise had a robust flavor, with the meat sauce clinging beautifully to the pasta. The Tiramisu was a delightful end to the meal, showcasing layers of creamy mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. Additionally, the Halumi salad was fresh, with the grilled cheese adding a unique touch to the crisp greens. Overall, every dish was executed with finesse, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.

I went to The Quarter for an evening meal. The Christmas décor and bright conversation inside already made for a great atmosphere. I chose the pan fried halloumi with pomegranate molasses as a starter. What an amazing combination of flavours! The moussaka was delicious too, with a glass of Primitivo. The staff were friendly and attentive. All round, an excellent dining experience.

Without a shadow of doubt the best lasagne I’ve ever had. So much so that during my stay in Liverpool i went back four times to have it. It’s utterly delicious! gutted it’s not in Manchester!

Wonderful bacon and fried egg sandwich for breakfast on my favourite Baltic Bakehouse sour dough bread. My order was carefully taken by the manager due to my intolerance. We are visiting Liverpool again in January and we are coming here for breakfast. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Can’t ask for more!

Cannot fault the service, 2 nd to none ,but dear me the food was a different story. Both of us had a lukewarm cappuccino on entry then both had very poor eggs Benedict. The smallest of muffins with cold ham on,then a drizzle of sauce over the eggs.From ordering to food on table took 3/4 minutes ,which shows how much care the chef took . No presentation, mediocre and bland. Very disappointed ☹️

Visit here alot. Good is always spot on, 4 stars as the price is a little more than most food places like this.

Decorated so beautifully for Christmas. We opted for starters and mains from the Christmas menu and everything was gorgeous.

Great place, fantastic location.. been many times..

A decent cafe with a varied menu, but I felt nauseated after finishing my meal and a few hours that followed. I do want to stress that the food was well prepared and tasty, I just think I may have recently developed an intolerance to something in the dish and I’ve not known at the time. The food we had was well prepared and cooked and very flavourful.

This has been a firm favorite of mine since opening and the quality of food and service never let's it down

Food was excellent as always but I was disappointed with the portion size. It was a tad small and I like to feel full after a pasta dish which didn't happen. Service was very good but too slow meaning that the dessert I promised myself didn't happen as we had an event to attend. It won't put me off as I love the place, but improvements could be made.

All-around fantastic evening and highly recommend The Quarter. Exceptional food and efficient friendly service.

The Quarter is a nice place to eat very handy if your going to the philharmonic theatre after ...unfortunately I found my dish to be absolutely tasteless it was a creamy pasta dish the bacon was all just fat I couldn't eat it 😫 but there are plenty other dishes to chose from..

We came here late on a Tuesday, they offered us a table promptly. Although we were late and wasn't many people left in the restaurant they were polite and courteous and we never felt rushed. The food was absolutely delicious. Thank you

An excellent choice for breakfast. We had the Full English and we were not disappointed. Although quite busy, it was not noisy and did not feel crowded, so we enjoyed a relaxing start to the day There is Pay and Display parking right outside the door

I LOVE The Quarter. We have been coming here for years and it cannot be faulted. Visited last night with my young children and the welcome, service throughout, attention from staff and not least the food, was superb. The pizza's are gorgeous. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is lovely. The best restaurant in Liverpool in my opinion, my son gave it '200 out five'!

Service was great, food was pretty good and the atmosphere is always good too no matter what time of day you go.

So welcoming & helpful (without being too much!). We were a large party across all ages and everyone’s meal was excellent. I have to say whilst there was zero wrong with my main course (delicious Spanish chicken flat bread) my pudding of hazelnut affogata was superb. Everyone’s desserts were enormous and delicious. Went there on my own before The Waterboys concert at the Philharmonic. Very friendly staff, very quick service and the pizza was excellent. Pizza being a treat for me. Can recommend

Family catch up as I was staying at a hotel around the corner. Lovely friendly place. Excellent service - staff couldn’t do enough to make us welcome and help us choose our meals and beverages. The three of us had a range of staters to share (fish cakes, halloumi and hummus with flat bread) - tasty and just enough to satisfy. After that our main courses were delicious and nicely served. I had chilli spaghetti bolognaise - made specifically at my request - amazing!! Good choice of wine. All in all a great meal in a lovely restaurant - I will visit again soon.

Went with a group of friends for a pre theatre dinner. Restaurant was incredibly hot and queues for ladies toilet was long due to their only being 2. Staff worked hard but seemed harassed. I had peperoncino (penne pasta) with chicken. I wished I hadn't bothered. Sauce looked and tasted like it had come straight from a jar, not seasoned and totally tasteless. My friend ordered a chicken dinner from the specials, it was like a child size portion which arrived in a bowl. On a positive note the rest of the group didn't mind their food (lamb kofta, Spanish chicken & pizza). I've been to the quarter many times but don't think I will return. Food quality is poor and thats such a shame as its in a perfect spot. But its not all about location, location, location.

Lunch on a glorious Saturday, most people sitting outside, taking advantage of the surprise warm weather, but we had booked a table inside. Delicious food, great service, lovely staff. Definitely going there again, thank you! xx

Once entering this place, I expected to have a great breakfast just by judging the exterior. It looked very fancy, and quite Parisian in a sense. Once we ordered drinks and food, the drinks took a little bit longer than expected and the food came before the drinks which isn’t great. Once the drinks arrived, we had to remind them about the tap water that I had ordered. A long wait and couple reminders to the staff later, we finally got our tap water. Besides this, the food was top mark and I would come here again, however I hope next time that there won’t be such a long wait for the drinks.

Was meeting a friend before going to a talk at the cathedral. Hadn’t booked but they found us a table. Friend was extremely late but staff were extremely friendly and reassuring and got my friend something from the kitchen in record time. They really salvaged the evening. Thank you

Good Italian with a nice ambiance and good service

This 1 star is for the overpriced gelato which doesn't deserve such a high rate. We paid £10 for 3 scoops of gelato, no garnish at all. The nice lady serving said that all the ingredients are from Italy but obviously that hasn't made any change in the quality of this gelato. You can't charge £10 for 3 scoops, you are not London, you are not Paris.

Very busy lunch time and did not get good seats (just by the entrance door). Service: Staff friendly and professional (though, did not smile much). But we enjoy our pizzas... Full of flavours, thin dough. I recommend especially to try the "Marrakesh" pizza. We did appreciate having our own pizza cutter wheels, which were very handy.

I get the king prawn linguine every time I go.... 👌 it's delicious with a glass of their NZ sauv blanc

A lovely place to find where you can sit outside on a nice day. Run by Italian people who chatted to each other in Italian making it feel as though we were abroad! Good selection of coffee's and delicious authentic cakes. It was hard to choose which one to have.

Informal restaurant with standard type menu - salads, pizza, pasta. Service was good, though the place was very warm. Most mains were between £9 - 16). However the 'market price' steak was hugely expensive compared to everything else (£26) and not especially good.

Came here for brunch today, the pasta and pizza was absolutely beautiful. So much flavour! Really good service too, our food came really quick. Would give it more than 5 if I could!
