The Quarry Cafe in Shropshire

I had a cappuccino with oat milk to go and it was so nice. Good strength and stayed hot for a good amount of time. Good and friendly service too.

Really disappointing meal. Fungi pizza claimed it had "roasted garlic bechamel sauce" but all i found was huge chunks of raw garlic which have plagued me ever since! So gross. Shame as the pizza base was good. Won't be eating here again or recommending to anyone else.

A good varied menu. A bit too much seasoning on the seasoned fries. Very good red pepper soup of the day

Nice looking cafe overlooking the pool and the quarry.Plenty of seating in and out of the cafe with good service.Its great that you have the choice of sitting indoors when the quarry is looking a bit wintry.

Stopped by for a quick coffee (really good) and was pleasantly surprised at the choice of food as well. We stayed for a sausage, tomato & red onion flatbread, plus a cheese & mushroom baguette. Both were ample, delicious and reasonably priced. Great location overlooking the quarry and watching the world go by. We’ll be back.

Doors wide open on a chilly day apparently for ventilation. Hot chocolate took forever and then tasted watery. Croque monaieur was ham and cheese panini. Just one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while.

Myself and some family members (2 adults, 4 children) had a wonderful time here today for lunch. The portion sizes are so generous. The food is delicious! All of the staff are so friendly and professional. We will definitely be returning!

This a little Shrewsbury hidden gem. Just been for a swim / gym session and then stopped by for lunch. I had the vegan Shropshire Hummus Bowl. I’m not actually that impressed with veggie food in Shrewsbury but this was generous, super healthy and amazingly tasty. The place is super clean and everyone is very friendly.

Great place nestled in the corner of the quarry. The staff were very kind and professional and the menu has been carefully thought out, with brunch, lunch, two course deals and pizzas. I popped in for a croissant and coffee and was pleasantly surprised. I also really like the fact that they locally sourced the ingredients for all the meals and drink. It’s truly great to see businesses support other local businesses 🙏

We were a family of four who came in for lunch. The portions were generous and the food delicious, particularly the soup and lamb on special. The jacket potato and hot dog went down well with our children. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and the waitresses were friendly. We are local and will be back, perhaps with our dog next time!

Average meal, hard sourdough topped with minimal salmon buried under a pile of rocket. Side salad was OK. Service Charge added on bill at till, even for a single diner. Not impressed with food or prices. Won't be returning.

Absolutely top notch bacon butties today, the bacon was thick,moist and flavoursome . Great service, so friendly.

The worst experience we ever had in Shrewsbury.. actually anywhere in Shropshire.We been there today. We order a burger and a salad. I got my burger in 35 minutes, had to ask for my partner's salad twice actually, because they 'forgot' it. She finally got her salad/very garlicky chickpea/humous salad / after two complaints, scene and 55 minutes. After humiliation we got a sorry, but not real apologies to my partner and the waitresses/staff didn't show any 'real' regret. No professionalism, no kindness and the homous tasted like a garlic bread..no balance in taste. Very Overpriced

Run by a load of kids that can’t care less. Nobody in charge. Utterly shambolic. One hour wait for 3 paninis and a baked potato! Potato arrived raw! DONT GO THERE! THEY ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. Should be shut down.

Our new go-to for a coffee whilst walking around the quarry. Loveliest of staff offering a warm welcome. Great for a change of scenery when WFH too. Great addition to the local area.

Love the newly refurbed Quarry kitchen. We tried the “Hercules” full English breakfast and “Square” waffles and what a treat. Delicious and sourced locally. Great view of the park. Tasty coffee and the specials and pizza are v tempting for next visit.

A very underutilised cafe, serving tasty food to only a few people. The outside area here could be a goldmine, apart from the fact that it's run by...the council.

Unfortunately didn't get served young lady was too busy with something else .No I'll be with you in a min just kept looking over .Nowhere for coffees today . Poor show Shrewsbury

Nice clean cafe, nice walk along river, called in today as usual and asked for two bacon baps, only to be told that they were not on the menu. Bacon was on breakfast so was bread and the burgers came Ona bap. BUT not A Bacon BP!!!

It was clean and adequate for what it served. Some items on the menu were not available.

Convenient for when I've been for a swim

Great little cafe, perfect for a quick ice cream or a sandwich and coffee. Came in on a Monday morning and the staff member was really friendly and lifted my blues by being funny and smiley (despite not having ice).
