I visited last night for the pirates of peacock event. The serving staff and actors worked extremely hard and we had a fantastic time watching the show. We were very disappointed with the food however. When I queried the whereabouts of my food, after waiting for 90 minutes, the manager Matt was rather abrupt with me and lacked sincerity when dealing with my query. Other staff were very polite and accommodating so this attitude was disappointing from the individual in charge. My food arrived at 9pm (30 minutes after the rest of the table) after 2 hours from being seated at the table. I therefore had to eat my cold food during the show and after my friends had finished eating. This prevented me from fully enjoying the show.

How very disappointed we were with the afternoon tea today which I booked as a special 65th birthday treat for a friend. Nobody came to ask if everything was okay or to offer a refill of drinks. The sandwiches had very hard stale crusts and we only got cheese scones which were so mustardy I could not finish half of the first one let alone eat two. I did enquire if I could have fruit scones and was told that the chef said they were not good quality so didn't serve them. What's an afternoon tea without fruit scones with jam and cream???? The two cakes, if you can call them that, were also very disappointing. We will not be returning

Been wanting to try this place for a while so booked an afternoon tea offer in advance. The waitress was really friendly and let us sit in a different area due to a large hen party… I requested plain scones upon booking which wasn’t an issue. The afternoon tea comes in a lovely bird cage style stand. Plenty of fresh tasty sandwiches and sweet treats. We even brought some bits home! It was great value at two for £25.

Arrived for afternoon tea, 2 young girls run ragged. Afternoon tea arrived food was fresh and displayed nice however 2 plain scones , 2 fruit scones , 2 pieces of Victoria sponge cake , 2 brownies , 2 meringues was far too much sweet treats compared to a tiny arrangement of sandwiches, would of been so much nicer if they had more savoury.selection. We ended up taking some home, ( 6 sweets each is ridiculous) quiche, sausages roll , cheese would be better.

This was the first time we have used this takeaway and I have to say we were super impressed the food was lovely. I was a little dubious as I didn’t want to be disappoint as it was a special birthday celebration. So thank you will definitely be ordering again.
