Another lovely Sunday lunch at the purple badger .the Sunday lunches are fab .i tried the lamb for a change normally have beef which is lovely.the lamb was beautiful so tender always friendly staff .best place we have been for Sunday lunch .always top standard.we book everytime we holiday in Llanrhidian in advance .also the lunchtime menu throughout the week is lovely to we went for ciabatta lunch 4 times always lovely.

We had Sunday Lunch at the Purple Badger. IT WAS AMAZING….WOULD GIVE TEN STARS 🌟 IF WE COULD!! First, the service… the best we have had in some years. Every member of staff could not do any more for us. They were attentive, yet discreet. Then, the food… Sunday Lunch We had the chicken liver pate for starter. Delicious, accompanied by a salad, toast, and onion chutney. The salad dressing was divine and really brought up the level of an already tasty and well proportioned plate. My husband had roast beef and I had roast turkey for mains. The meat was perfectly cooked and plentiful, sitting on a butternut squash cream. Vegetables came to the table in a separate dish, as did cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes, parsnip and Yorkshire puddings plated with the meat. I’m hard to please, with two sons who are pro chefs, but I can tell you, that roast was A++. With a roast lunch, there is no-where to hide bad cooking or ingredients and this meal had neither. We rounded the meal off with a cheesecake and ice cream, which did not disappoint and met our expectations which were by that point, rather high. In short….go there! The food and service both top notch.

I can certainly vouch for the food and service at the Purple badger llanrhidian. During my stay at llanrhidian. I have tried breakfast and dinner menus both equally good, and the food is outstanding quality and presented very well. I can also recommend Sunday lunch at the badge if you get the opportunity.

We had a short break at Llanrhiddan in December 2023 and based on what an excellent experience that was, we booked before we left for mid Feb 2024. Purple Badger caught us by surprise with freshly cooked and absolute top quality food - we've had during our visits perfectly cooked steaks, tasty pizza, vegetarian (for the fussiest, who loved it), great breakfast and one of the best Christmas menu meal ever! We're coming back in December 2024. The staff are lovely, everything is so well presented. I would recommend if you're in this part of the world, it is open to the general public (non residential)

We had breakfasts and evening meals at The Purple Badger would definitely recommend. The food is excellent, fresh and wholesome and an imaginative and consistently good menu. Friendly and welcoming staff, reasonable prices for excellent food. We will be back.

Stayed for the weekend during half term, over the weekend we as a family had 2 main menu meals and one Sunday dinner (2 courses) and it has been STUNNING. We eat out often and do not mind paying for nice, good quality food. The staff were amazing and each meal was spot on - we will be returning!

Went with friends who all ate different dishes. Each one was lovely. The pizzas are amazing. Will definitely be back again soon.

The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is situated in a wonderful location to relax with a cold lager and a nice meal whilst enjoying the exceptional views over the marshlands, the whole family enjoyed.

I have celebrated with my family and friends a very happy event in my life. The food was amazing, the place was decorated so beautiful, the service was impeccable and it was a memorable day for all of us. Even though the place is a bit far from Swansea, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable family and friends gathering.

While holidaying in the park we visited the Purple badger on numerous occasions for breakfast and dinner. Each time the staff were incredible friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic, the pizzas in particular are lovely, fresh and really tasty. So difficult to find fault with this place, mainly because there isn't any. Great staff, beautiful food, well-kept beer etc. Well maintained, well lit, and comfortable, good car parking. Loved the friendly interaction with the many locals who frequent this holiday park venue and can fully understand why they use it. Looking forward to returning very muchly!

Under new management in 2023, the staff seem really friendly, there is now a shop on site which is really handy as we live locally. The food in the purple badger is really good value. I had lunch and it was a good portion, the chips were delicious and everything was freshly made.

Popped in here impromptu after a day surfing nearby. Four hungry adults and three hungry teens. Wed passed a few places either full or closed or not serving food. I have to be honest we didn't have very high expectations and thought we'd be getting microwaved/frozen food. What we actually got was well cooked and flavourful chicken skewers, burgers, pizzas, salmon and mixed grill. Good hefty portions at a reasonable (but not cheap) price. The shop next door was great to stock up on supplies too.

Good service and clean restaurant. Menu on website out of date so didn't have the ploughman's lunch I thought u was going to have. Ordered prawn sandwich, was asked whether I wanted ciabatta or brown bread. I opted for brown bread but it came as a brown seeded baguette cut in half. It was very nice but not the soft brown sandwich I was expecting. Tasty chips and side salad.

Not allergy friendly, food not fresh. Awful food poisoning after eating breakfast here. Food is not fresh and not prepared according to any standards, I was assured that it’s going to be gluten free and had very bad poisoning after eating here. I am sure the chef doesn’t follow food safety when preparing meal for person who has allergy . On top of that ingredients weren’t fresh, my toast if it even was gluten free was all burned.

We had one meal at this restaurant on an immaculate holiday park, enjoying the really good freshly-cooked food, large helpings and friendly, prompt service. There is a very wide choice of food in the restaurant, with the popular basics available at the bar or for takeaway. For the quality and quantity, the prices were fair. We can’t quite give 5 stars due to an accumulation of minor let downs: We had to ask for serving spoons for the vegetables and other ‘accessories’ that should have arrived with, or before the food. We would have liked to finish our meal with a coffee, as would another couple nearby, but the machine was either broken or turned off and there was no back-up like filter coffee. You have to go to the bar for your drinks and pay each time before going back to the table. The only non or low alcohol drink available was a sweet mixed fruit cider, when there are plenty of excellent low alcohol apple ciders available now. Local brewery Gower produce a very reasonable low alcohol IPA, and Guinness Zero is becoming popular. However, there isn’t much competition in the area and we would certainly eat here again. In fact, I've booked a caravan for a 3 day break on the holiday park!

Today I visited this location together with my friends for the first time, I was pleasantly impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, the very professional and kind staff. The food was extremely tasty, the presentation on the plate impeccable. Easter Sunday lunch. The food was great. A lovely buzz in the bar again. The vegetables were lovely and plenty of them. The lamb was great and a good portion of meat. Profiteroles blanco were lovely with chantilly cream. Staff were great too.

Absolutely awful, the person behind the bar had a very, very bad attitude, I would go so far as to say that neither he nor the chef should be working in the customer service/hospitality industry. We booked for Christmas eve, and thought that we may be late so I called to ask if that would be okay, after some huffing and puffing the person said they would ask the chef if that was okay, a word to the wise, don't take the phone into the kitchen so that the customer can hear the whole conversation, the chef was extremely unhappy but agreed that it would be, begrudgingly, okay. So we duly arrived, and thankfully we weren't late. We waited at the bar, finally ringing the bell for sevice, we were eventually served by the person who I had spoken to on the phone, we ordered our drinks, which rather that being put in front of us, were bizarrely, placed out of reach. We were shown to a table, it would have been helpful if the person who served us had told us that we needed to order at the bar, we discovered this after about half an hour, we had asked the person if we could order but he must have felt like that was a inconvenience to him as he still didn't have the courtesy to tell us we needed to order at the bar. Finally we spoke to another member of staff, Marley (?) who was lovely and very apologetic, explaining that we needed to order at the bar, so we finally placed our order. Surprise, surprise, the food , when it did finally arrive, was cold and unappealing, we would have been better staying at home. I would steer clear of here. It used to have such a good reputation, unfortunately due to a minority of staff and their attitude, it seems that is is now a mere shadow of the place it was. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Nice place to go with the kid's for an hour on a sunny day but food and drink is very over priced.
