The Prince's Place in Shropshire

The fish was cooked to order and was perfect. We had a haddock and a small code both delicious, with crispy batter. There were enough chips in a small portion to feed a family of four so quite a bit was wasted, so I’ll make a point of requesting a smaller portion in future. The rating for atmosphere isn’t really relevant as this is a takeaway. The staff were very friendly. Cash only.

Told about chicken kebab in naan with chips for £8. Just gone in, told no such thing, but it is up on menu board What is going on Travelled 16 miles for this meal only to be told no such meal Never again

Best chip shop I’ve ever been to, can’t beat the chicken nuggets anywhere. The staff are always friendly and up for a good chat. I’ve recommended everyone in my family comes to this chippy and been coming here for years.

There’s no better chippy than princes plaice, their chicken nuggets are a must have! I’ve never had any nicer ones anywhere else, they always provide excellent service and I would highly recommend them! 5 stars for everything

It took 25 minutes just for a large chips, I've worked in chip shops before, it takes 5-10 mins max to cook chips. It wasn't busy won't be coming again, lazy unprofessional staff

Nice little chip shop serving great quality, it's always good especially they're chicken nuggets they're similar to chicken balls from a Chinese just a little smaller & they also have an off-licence too with good offers. Newly installed cash point on the side of the building which is useful.

Been here a couple of times now. Very pleased both times. Reasonable prices. Well cooked fish with crispy, golden batter. Generous portion of chips. Peas were tasty but a rather violent green colour - a bit too much dye in them - but that was a minor niggle and by no means unique to this shop. Will certainly be back. Edit: And, Indeed, I have been back. Often. Still good.

I never trust a shop that says cash only. Usually some tax fiddling going on when this is the case. So i say boycott this shop till they accept card payments.

The prince's place is in the top two chips hops in Oswestry, it's a toss up between prince's and the chippy on Willow street, the one facing the post office, I can't think of the name of the place, prince's plaice is far cheaper, as a mater of fact I went to prince's plaice only an hour ago....

Excellent chips and plenty of them in a portion. Fresh fish cooked to order and great kebabs. Great service as well.

Chips can be bit "dodgey" at times but prices are cheap and the portions are large. Quite busy with locals in the evening.

Ok they make very good take always and their naan kebabs are one of the best I've tasted.😎
