Great breakfast from chef Luke, all fresh and tasty

Everything was baked up, staff weren't very welcoming either. Was like they just didn't want to be there. I asked for a bowl off one of the lads who were bring out some eggs (breakfast service) and he very abruptly said 'there is one there' (it was dirty) so I mention this and he huffed and said he'd get one. Not very pleasent at all.

The food took ages to come , we kept asking the staff they said it would nearly be ready still waited 10 minutes after they came .my starter took more then 45 minutes to come the chicken wings were burnt to a crisp and had no flavour , my main took a while to come and the chips were soggy the burger was cold and the chicken was just about cooked . For my desert I had a brownie it was barely cooked with the tiniest amount of ice cream on it and even that took 20 minutes to come . The water was dirty and didn’t even have ice in. Waste of my time and money .

Food took decades to come. Food tasted horrible as if I was eating a tyre. For even a star the coke wasn’t even fizzy was flat. Absolutely shocking place. WILL NOT BE RETURNING however on the bright side……Nothing to be impressed about. Do not come to this unless you want a hour wait and horrible food waste of money.🤢🤮

Unless you have majorly low standards don’t bother coming here. It was grotty, unclean and generally just not a very nice place to spend any time.

It was hard to find an affordable, nice Sunday calvery nowadays. This restaurant we've been visited a long time ago and changed management a few times, i think, in the past. We booked a table from the website, and it requires a 1-hour return table due to the busy Sunday service. We got there, sat down, and ordered at the bar. Quick and easy, no fuss, got pints, then head to calvery section collecting foods. You can also order a la carte foods from the menu. Sunday roasted, beef, gammon, turkey, and pork up to your choice. Plenty of garnish if you like, and tiny detail touching like pork scratching is the bonus for people who like them. We also ordered sundae ice cream and cookie dough. Absolutely sufficient and fulfill my craving for Sunday lunch. We will be returned.

I booked a table for five on 7 March and when arrived paid for meal and drinks all wanted carvery but the beef was not available and turkey had little meat left. Asked if the turkey was going to be replaced and said it’s not very good and was surprised when the person we spoke to said it’s not my fault. Considering we have been going to this public house since the 1970,s long before the restaurant was in existence it’s sad to say we will not go again

Went today and it was absolutely appalling. Items not available and staff lied about items not being on the menu and when questioned the manager was told it was because the machine that supplied the ice cream has been broken for months. Ordered Carvery for 6 and everything was aweful. Roast potato’s that you could break a window with, dried up old meat, veg was cold and dry, no beef available, nothing was edible. Asked the rude male member of staff to intervene and rectify the problem to which he tutted, slammed down his cleaning bottle and signed “what’s wrong with it”. We asked for the manager and she was polite enough and agreed it was totally inedible and she did refund our food but we left hungry and will never return. Used to be good but since stonehouse have taken over the food is appalling. Also staff standing around while tables were dirty and unclean.

Carvery lets them down, none of the key elements are delivered to a high standard so its not worth visiting.

I’ve visited Pretty Pigs before and enjoyed the carvery, so we decided to try something different from the menu today. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. • Buffalo Frank’s Burger – The description mentioned it being drenched in Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo sauce, but it arrived with no sauce at all. We had to send it back, which was frustrating. Even after the correction, it still didn’t match the expectation. • Mac and Cheese – Some of the pasta was completely undercooked, making it hard and inedible. This was quite disappointing, as mac and cheese should be a comforting dish. • Gammon and Mustard Sandwich – This was the biggest letdown. Instead of marmalade-glazed gammon, we were served a dry back piece of gammon. The sandwich was overloaded with English mustard—so much so that it was impossible to eat. When we sent it back, the same gammon was returned with slightly less mustard, but it was still excessive and overpowering. Having previously enjoyed the carvery, I would strongly recommend that Pretty Pigs stick to what they do best. Unfortunately, based on today’s experience, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from the regular menu. I hope this feedback is taken on board to improve the overall quality of the food served.

Had a lovely carvery on a nice and quiet Tuesday evening, Abbie our server was great and looked after our table brilliantly.

I've been here to complete some work on numerous occasions lately... Dan and Shell have looked after me during my visits, great hospitality and both very welcoming... Photos show this amazing Stonehouse venue in full detail... Including the huge outside space and climbing frame for the children. This is a carvery location but has so much to offer for families... Stopped off there today for a quick lunch with the family. Fantastic Pizza, and brilliant wings with the Franks Hot Sauce. Lovely service and looked after us well. Only 4 stars for the atmosphere because it was quite quiet. Surely no fault of the restaurant, but it was also nice not to be crammed.

Carvery was really nice and they do a good breakfast too.

First visit. Very happy with the pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. We all enjoyed the carvery and I liked the leek and broccoli bake instead of meat.

The carvery looked really fresh and everyone on the table who had it said it was really nice. The pub had only just reopened today after flooding and when we arrived the boiler had just broken and then a pipe burst in the kitchen which was totally out of their control delaying our ordered meals coming out. The staff have been amazing, Abbie couldn't do enough for us and we were kept informed all the time. They put on a hot drink station so we could get warm drinks free with their being no heating. Hopefully they get everything fixed as soon as possible.

29/12/24 The carvery was scrumptious with a choice of turkey, pork,beef and ham and a good variety of veggies, roasters and mash. Staff were amazingly attentive and friendly. Altogether a good dining experience.

Our server was Sian she was lovely polite and very helpful and was lovely with my two children We enjoyed the food and drinks.

We came for breakfast with Santa and it was a real half arsed job you've done. The groto didn't even have a back drop to cover all the wall in that section, you could have easily have done it with two pieces. The walls in the pub are dirty and patches of what I assume was filler everywhere. I think your coffee machine must be broke because I basically got hot milk and I waited 20 mins for that (and chased where it was) even though I ordered at the bar and the bar man took my table number and said he'd bring it over. Your Santa looked bored out of his mind. It was budget breakfast with Santa. I wouldn't recommend coming to anyone.

What a waste of money was all cold asked for beef was given just fat. I did say at the time and was just told it was fine will never be going again. Will not waste anymore more money there. Disappointing to say the least

It was busy but the staff were very kind and sweet to my 5 yr old daughter.

My friend and I went for an afternoon lunch. We wanted to order fish and chips and was told the fish was not ready! So we decided to go for the carvery. Big mistake which is not good as we have had a Sunday carvery before which was lovely. There was only 2 meats on, gammon and turkey. I had turkey and to be totally honest my 3 Yr old granddaughter would of eaten more meat than I was given. My friend had both which was a little more than mine. ALL the vegetables were either dried up or past their best. When we started to eat we found that all the vegetables were just warm, stuffing was dried out, roasts were passable. Could not believe the difference. Sorry to say not all of mine was eaten. Why are the vegetables not heat tested or replace when you can clearly see they have gone over. I worked as a Head chef and would not have allowed the food to be ok for service in that condition. We are disappointed to say the least.

Visited this morning as a Table of 8 for my son's birthday, We ordered all you can eat breakfast and Vegetarian breakfast. We requested 3 vegetarian sausages per breakfast, we waited over 15 minutes for them we had to ask for them twice, when they arrived they were hard and dry/ over cooked! When we went up to the deck there were no eggs, no tomatoes, and no mushrooms, we had to wait over 20 minutes for mushrooms in the end we had to complain due to the vegetarians in our party not having hardly anything for breakfast, we were given a refund of both vegetarian breakfasts, I can't believe how unorganised service was at 9:30 when it hasn't been open long. With the chef joking earlier everything was all here now its gone! Also to start our visit I tripped over in one of the potholes in the carpark cutting all my knee and ruining my gilet and trousers

First time trying the all you can eat breakfast and it was spot on! Lots to choose from and fresh I couldn’t catch the lady’s name who served us our drinks but she was so lovely Thanks again guys 100% recommend

Usually there's something on a roast not completely as I want it, but last time we went the food was spot on!! Even the roasties were amazing! My son was rather impressed too for a change

Have not been for years and now I remember why we had the carvery it was very quiet about 5.30pm on a Saturday evening. The turkey had nothing left on it so got the small bits the beef was very tough and fatty and the gammon well what I had was ok. The vegetables looked like been under the light a while as very dry so dug down deep. The roast potatoes were not roasted and the few I had were very hard. It was tasteless and just warm not very hot at all. Visited the ladies loos before I left I have to say they still smell of damp and very musty. I know it’s prone to get flooded when the river rises. I’ve a lot of good memories growing up and going with my mom and dad you could sit in the carpark then with the horses in the field close by. Waiting for the trains to go past. Will not be returning.

Very friendly and helpful service

This is a review of an Uber Eats order on a Sunday afternoon - put simply, AVOID. The photo shows you what this establishment think is worth £28, bearing in mind I ordered two meals! One (massively overcooked) roast potato each, one Yorkshire pudding to share, the tiniest amount of turkey (with a pile of stringy/fatty beef, which wasn't ordered) and a measly amount of vegetables to share. Missing pigs in blankets, which had been paid for as extra. The gravy was inappropriately packaged and had leaked entirely into the bag. For transparency, I've been partially refunded for this mess via Uber processes, but the fact I'd even been sent this is a joke. I recognise Sunday is the busiest day, but if you can't fulfill an order, decline it - slinging in a random mix of things in that don't align with the order is an insult to your customers.

It was a delight to have such great service. Had breakfast and Sian served us with such enthusiasm and warmth, Sian couldn’t do enough for us, informing us of all the options, checking we were ok and communicating throughout our dining experience. Very refreshing.

We visited the pigs on Monday to take advantage of a 25% voucher I had, upon arriving we actually discovered it was also 50% off burgers! Bargain! From start to finish sian looked after us, she found us a lovely quiet table as per our request and frequently popped over to check on us when our toddler started to make a fuss, nothing was too much for sian from our fussy eaters of the table to our 2 year old with a great throwing arm 🤣 safe to say we had a wonderful experience and we will 100% be recommending to family and friends and returning ourselves. Sian is an absolute credit to your team and you should be bursting with pride to have her!

Visited 24/10 for breakfast as a quick bite before a trip. Pleasantly surprised !! Food lovely and hot. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Harry served us and was very helpful and chirpy. Pleasant visit all round.

We go to the Pretty Pigs fairly often, & have the carvery! The meat is always beautifully tender & delicious with a good choice of vegetables, which are also cooked well! My only disappointment is that they used to do onions in a gravy, with all the other veg, but they stopped doing them a couple of years ago & I don't know why! I've asked about them quite a few times, & they've been a bit vague & said once or twice that they're "seasonal" which doesn't really make sense to me! So PLEASE-bring back the onions!!

We were a party of 7. We had a short wait to be seated. The food was okay generally. The pigs in blankets were dry and tough. The beef was quite fatty 👎 Gammon turkey and pork were great 👍 The veg was all good 👍 The guy serving the carvery was polite but omg too slow to serve the meat( nothing personal) It was very hot in the dining area and eventually someone opened a door. Definitely worth a visit. 7.5/10.

Booked a table a week ago for our son’s 18th birthday. When we got there and was seated we were told there was only a small amount of gammon left, we had a table of 13 people and only 1 person liked gammon. The table was booked for 6:30, you had no meat left yet you were still letting people through the door without a booking. If you know you have a table of 13 people coming then you cook more food. Staff didn’t seem to care either so we went else where, family travelled for an hour and because we had to go somewhere else it ruined plans we had after.

We went here for our son's birthday party and we were very happy with our choice. We found it a family-friendly environment with a spacious outdoor seating, and accommodating staff. They offer a varied menu, including pizza, which was a hit with children. Its outdoor garden area is perfect for letting kids play while adults relax. Staff was friendly and very helpful with everything, patient with the kids, interacting with kindness and helping the younger ones. We had a designated space for the duration of the party, kids had a blast making their own pizza and then devouring it after a good run in their backyard. They also provide drinks, ice cream and party favours. Very good value for the money. We certainly recommend it not only for parties, but for a relaxing outing too.

Short for time so ordered a click and collect carvery .. collection time put at 2:30 partner arrived and Nothings been sent through, not the correct things put on liked it asked when ordering on website. Everything slapped together, the smallest amount of mash, this isn’t the first time ordering a click and collect, 1st time was amazing Hence ordering again. 1st time round everything was separate containers got asked what veg wanted etc. this time round and it was abysmal vile and poor. Stuffing under cooked and tasted like eating pure salt .. how?? Won’t be back in a hurry

The carvery was absolutely disgusting, I had the vegetables option and was appalled, the roast potatoes were covered in something that tasted fishy and salty, leeks and cauliflower cheese was revolting, yorkshire puddings tasted stale and were rock hard, I wish I could say something positive about the other vegetables but I am struggling. We had our meals at 12.30 so it should have been fresh. My daughter had the meat option and said it was tasteless, we both left feeling nauseated. We were offered a full refund but as we were there with a large group my daughter didn’t want to cause a fuss. I would never ever visit Pretty Pigs again and would not recommend it either.

I came in earlier with with my two sons who are picky eaters and abbie helped my sons find something on the menu they'd love. The carvey was amazing with fresh veg and crispy roast potatoes. The beef was so tender and served with a generous portion.

Our go to restaurant for carvery/food best in Birmingham! Beautiful carvery/ food our son loves the freshly made Pizzas there his favourite. My boys also love the spacious play area out the back if the restaurant and the toy grab machines.

Enjoyed a carvery and pudding with my family. Food was lovely staff could not of been any nicer looking forward to returning again.

Absolutely the best carvery around. Would go every night if I could. The menu has increased massively since Stonehouse took over and the customer service is amazing.
