Stayed here for work for just one night—which, in my opinion, was plenty. Let’s start with the positives: the staff were friendly and did their best to make guests comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, which is great if you enjoy the sensation of being power-washed in the morning. Now, onto everything else. The dinner menu was so limited I thought I was being pranked. The continental breakfast was equally uninspiring—a fruit bowl featuring a sad collection of green apples and two bananas that looked like they had lived through a world war. Suffice to say, my stomach spent the rest of the day playing Russian roulette. The rooms? A throwback to an era I don’t recall fondly. Positioned right next to a roaring A-road, the soundtrack of my stay was essentially “Live Traffic Updates, Vol. 1.” The television was smaller than my laptop screen, and WiFi was an extra £5—a nostalgic nod to the early 2000s when we paid for internet by the minute. If you plan to stay here, bring earplugs, unlimited mobile data, and a good imagination, because watching the cars go by will be your primary source of entertainment. The bar had no beers on tap and a bottle selection so uninspired it made a motorway service station look like a Michelin-starred venue. No bar snacks either, meaning you’re left with the overpriced vending machine in the lobby, where £2 buys you the privilege of eating crisps that taste like disappointment. Now, I get it. I’ve stayed in my fair share of Premier Inns, and I know these out-of-the-way hotels don’t always get the love they deserve. But charging £108 a night for this? That’s daylight robbery. At least Dick Turpin had the courtesy to wear a mask. Would I stay here again? Only if my other option was sleeping in my car—and even then, I’d have to think about it.

Business Booker with a National job means i stay in lots of these hotels and this is in the top 10 worst. A main menu in the restaurant with 5 options to choose from, 1 lager on draft, everything else off. 1 chef and 1 front of house meant service was painfully slow. Rooms behind reception have washing machine banging on the wall all night and a TV the size of a postage stamp. Avoid avoid avoid.

Comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast very well cooked and we were particularly impressed by Katie, our hostess at breakfast, who was warm, welcoming, smiling and efficient, a credit to the establishment.

Rooms are good. Food on the other hand !! Is a much, MUCH different story !. The pub/restaurant (if that's what you can call it) is a shambles. We turned up, and tried going in at the opening time, 5pm, only to be told that it wasn't open as a member of staff had left the premises with the keys to open the front door. Nearly an hour later, the doors were opened, we were sat down, and find that the menu is so small, and basic, that you couldn't call it a bar menu, let alone a restaurant menu. The food is prepacked/precooked and reheated and plated up. So they can't cater to families who have autistic children or young fussy eaters. The lady who served us, bless her, tries her best to help out with options and to try and keep us in the restaurant, but ultimately, soon came to realise that their system is MAJORLY FLAWED

One of the best I've stayed in, Staff were fantastic, very quiet and secluded, Centurion Bar and restaurant has very limited choice, but again, Staff were superb.. Local amenities, not close so long walk or transport needed.. internet very poor, but nothing new for Premier Inn, they must change Provider. Staff made my weeks stay enjoyable.. 😊

Not worth the price or the star rating. Room was small and could do with a lick of paint, plus there was a hole in the ceiling. Bathroom smelt of sewage but they had run out of air freshener. The noise from the pub was annoying and constant until well after 11pm also doors banging all the time. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although could get free hot drinks from the pub. Although on the ground floor, wheelchair access was awkward due to narrow passages and tight corners. Breakfast should be included, considering the price of the room. Would not come back again, nor would recommend to others. The staff were friendly and accommodating where they could.

Attended a wedding here in December, we had read a lot of recent bad reviews beforehand. There is no parking on site so had to walk through the town. Heating wasn't great, all areas were freezing and they had to bring in mini heaters - not that it did much. The staff were lovely but some seemed a bit unsure of what they were doing- missing peoples drinks requests etc. There was no soap in the bathroom I had to ask for them to sort this. I didnt end up staying but a lot of people there mentioned how freezing the rooms were too.
