As a regular customer, i am a little biased with my opinion. I have got to know most of the staff and have built a good customer relationship. However, that said, the only reason this situation has occurred is because of the great service and produce this establishment has to offer. Clean, polite, and offer great tasting coffee. What a successful business model.

Excellent food, lots of tasty unusual flavours. Such a nice change from your run of the mill menus. Well done...we shall be returning.

Hi, I only popped in for a coffee as everything else was closed i was in an area I was not familiar with and was a little unsure however the staff were very friendly and polite I also ended up buying some cakes to eat later and they were also very tasty and fresh. As a wheelchair user, I found the premises easy to get around and manipulate my chair to my needs.

I had breakfast and was disappointed. While the service was friendly and attentive, the food itself was bland and of poor quality. The coffee was particularly disappointing—not worth the price at all. Unfortunately, the good service couldn't make up for the lackluster meal.

Great spot for lunch. I had a toasted sandwich ... so not photogenic .. but tasty. Interesting town, good for a stroll around. Free parking behind the cafe.

Super vegan lunch and dog could join me too.

Great place to stop for coffee while cycling

Really enjoyed the Halloumi burger with the sweet potato fries. The chocolate orange cake was excellent. The not so adult hot chocolates had lots of cream and were studded with malteasers. This time has the Spanish breakfast followed by a lovely and mellow coffee.

Called in on the off-chance they might have a table free for lunch with my daughter. We were in luck. Very helpful staff. Delicious lunch. Had the Chicken Shawarma and the Shed Burger. Generous servings. Reasonable price. Would definitely go again. Run by Olives et al so they also sell olives, chutneys and other delicious treats. Would recommend!

My friend and I popped in for a drink initially as we hadn’t decided yet on lunch. The Server was directing us to a table but as soon as we said we weren’t having food….she advised the table was reserved at 1:30 and the menu wasn’t offered to us. However, the table was soon occupied after we were directed to another table and it wasn’t 1:30. We were still there at 1:30 and the table was still occupied by the customers who were directed there by the Server. We decided we would like a meal but went elsewhere after being treated disrespectfully.

We had a lovely lunch here. The service is always friendly and efficient . We have eaten here often . Probably twice per month . Upon leaving last Monday we got as far as the door whereupon the man behind the counter shouted at us ‘ Have you Paid’? We had . £37:00 in fact for two light lunches, 2 coffee's and a bottle of water . Apart from being disrespectful and incredibly rude that way of behaving is completely unacceptable . Im 59 and my dining partner 50 . I think we look reasonably respectable . Maybe thats the ‘runner’ demographic in poundbury? My only regret is that I didn't remove outside the smug weasel like man who hailed us from behind the safety of the counter . We will not return . Arts Therapist Poundbury

This cafe is amazing I had delicious pancakes and bacon and a hot chocolate probably best service I've ever had we ordered and the food came within 10 minutes.

Brilliant food, coffee and service.

We are from Weymouth. Always meant to pop in here one day. Did it today. Had cheese paprika scone - one of the best scones outside the home. Coffee excellent. Staff so friendly & efficient. Will certainly go again and try other things on their amazing menu. Thank you. Ilene White

Good quality food with enough portion for a breaky. The sausages in toast with smoked baked bean and sausages were exceptionally excellent!

Great cafe offering a good range of drinks, light bits and main meals.

Enjoyed my breakfast but a little sad they no longer do the unique toasted tea cakes they used to. Interesting that there is now a greater effort to seat / guide customers to specific tables.

Pot of tea for two, one fruit scone and one cheese scone, all absolutely perfect !

Really excellent. Lovely choice of delicious 'naughties'! Charming staff and great atmosphere. Only negative a little noisy for conversation BUT attached super Garden Nursery compensates that. Also great collection of Olives et Al items. Definitely worth a visit.

OK, so I go here most weeks which speaks volumes. Great staff, lovely breakfasts and good coffee. Love the sharing of tables and nice for the older generation to meet folks to chat.

Lost our order so a long wait for our meal. On their behalf they did give us our meal for free.

Great place for a light, healthy but filling lunch. Choice of healthy salads and soups served with delicious tasting bread. Be sure to book as tables limited.

Lovely small cafe. Our menus were filthy to touch. Very pricey for a garden centre cafe as ordered off menu by staff request, welsh raebit, a simple cheese on toast, the plate looked totally unappealing & se what empty, consisting of 3 'very small' half size slices of bread for 2 @ £19.....WT? Not even 2 full slices of bread. Tasted awful!! Iceberg lettuce on side, some brown lettuce, so we left. Waited ages for our plates to be cleared with our table being walked-by from staff many many many times....& no it was not busy. We all wont be visiting again.

We came for a quick bite to eat and were seated very quickly... and then just sat there and got ignored. After the waitresses walked past a number of times without even making eye contact we decided to get up and leave 😕 Normally I wouldn't have minded a little wait but it wasn't busy at all.

What can I say?! I arrived today just after midday with my wife who suffers deeply from anxiety. We are greeted by a waitress who asks if we wish for a table for two to which we respond yes please. Upon entering the seating area said waitress asks if we would mind sharing with another or other persons to which we politely decline for obvious reasons we are still in the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic plus my wife suffers from anxiety. We are ushered into the corner at a table for 6 & then seated while given a grubby looking but wipeable menu and left to look at the available meals. Upon the waitress returning she takes our order for 2 sweet potato curries one with a nann bread the other with a salad garnish we asked for it to have no tomato as my wife cannot eat the seeds so a simple request to leave off the tomatoes. The meals arrive and behold the side garnish contains tomatoes. Instead of creating a scene my wife decided to eat around it and leave the tomato as the place was starting to become busier. Several people were asked to wait outside as there was no table space and this was said loudly enough for us to hear. Throughout the whole meal the group of waitresses were watching and making comments between each other making my wife feel very uncomfortable. It got to the point where the second we had finished eating the waitress was at the table asking to clear the plates away while sending 2 customers to wait by the side of our table with a menu making us both feel we had to leave. The attitude of the staff is something to be desired I shall not recommended to anyone. What was meant to be a nice quiet meal felt very rushed and did not meet up to our standards.

Mon dieu! £7 for two takeaway sausage rolls? They were very tasty of course, and backed up by friendly helpful staff. Providing you take a credit card, this is a lovely place for a snack or drink.

Visited Potting shed today with friends and must say it’s my second time there and I thought that the menu was absolutely delicious we had the sharing board and it was really good value for money tasty lots of flavour staff were attentive and very pleasant will go there again and will recommend to friends

The Potting Shed is not really a best kept secret, but at the same time understated. Nice little deli, with generally excellent food. Also for me the best flat white in Dotchester. Staff are always friendly and efficient too. One thing note, toilets are in the adjoining garden centre, but with a door through they are very close and it is no great hardship. Def worth a visit .... and enjoy 😉

What a find! The service was amazing and the food choice was varied and I and my friends all loved our choices. The ingredients were clearly fresh and locally sourced.

We had a lovely first family meal out since Covid lockdown. The staff were really friendly and the spacing between the tables was on the generous side so we felt completely safe outside, undercover with the sun shining down. The food is delicious as always...

Love here do amazing sour dough bread

Quite possibly the best coffee in Dorchester. Their sausage rolls are also amazing. The food is really nice with a varied menu and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with a plentiful deli selection to boot.

Always spot on with the food and coffee if you can find a table as it gets very busy. Good sign though.
