Great service and great quality food shannay was really helpful in helping me decide what I wanted for food, the first time Meg was lovely while pouring my pint and Dylan was a laugh will be back again

Got a parking ticket for parking 2 hours and 22 minutes at this restaurant. £100 Fine or £60 if paid in 14 days, well I'll be checking myself from now on that's for sure, if a business is inviting you to dine and they have restrictions then the customer should be told! Where do I start, such a poor experience. First of all parking restrictions on a Restaurant car park? Really!! According to your parking on Google maps under the about section clearly states free of charge street parking & free parking lot! I'm disappointed now that I didn't check for signs when I got there but why would I after Google maps telling me its free!! We dined there for a Family Birthday, spent loads there over the years, and to have this fine come through my door is a sly way of making money. Members of the family like going there regularly and its convenient for me as I live in Nantgarw. it's certainly taken the shine off going there anymore, as now knowing you can't relax because you got to keep an eye on the time or do we have to book it in with the table! If that's the case then why didn't a staff member mention that when I got there, or even when I was paying for my food? The service that night was really appalling as we waited a rediculouse time to be served after ordering, under staffed and resulted in me getting a parking. fine, so if your food is taking forever to come make sure you keep onto them and query the parking or you'll find a parking ticket through your door. I also feel that a member of staff should have just said something about the parking restrictions as they where taking so much time to get the food to all of us and knowing that we been there all that time, just a simple mention would have done they came back a few times to say food is on its way so why couldn't they mention that even then I don't know, I didn't know about it obviously, as we've never had this happen before. Yet another business I feel that's going to feel the squeeze over time, especially for party's, as there's cards, presents, birthday cake, time to chat to everyone, especially when your order is for the big table and want to make it a good night, Customers shouldn't be treated like this it just feels like a rip off, Don't make a reasonable place to dine so reasonable does it!!

Our table was reserved for as we booked ahead, the staff were very nice and the menu choices were of a good variety. We enjoyed our meal and drinks that was reasonably priced.

The menus is more realistic. The food was good and well presented. Service behind the bar was better you had two people instead of 1 previously which caused queues. You’ve stopped the exit door of the kitchen banging. You had it for months. It was so annoying. Toilets are now better. Music is kept at low level-good.

Food and menu is lovely. There is plenty of choice on the menu to choose from and staff and atmosphere is welcoming

I love coming to the pottery the food is always amazing highly recommend started coming here when you had the 20oz steak 😋 that needs to make a come back.

We were a party of 16 and we were very surprised at the speed in which our food orders came out, All the food was cooked to perfection the staff were very friendly and helpful , the atmosphere in the pub was second to none, Tom was especially attentive and as we’re all the staff a credit to the owners , many thanks to all staff , cheers Len

Once again, the Pottery stuns us with the food, the prices, and the incredible service. We visit several times a week because it's our favourite, go-to place. We had the Fish and Chips last night, and it's no lie to say it's the best in the county, if not the country. The batter is so light, crispy, and without a hint of grease, even my Mam who doesn't like battered fish eats the whole thing. The chips are perfect, crispy outside and fluffy inside, and the whole thing is so cheap you won't believe your eyes. The staff are some of the best we've ever known. Always friendly and super helpful, they make our visits something to look forward to just to see them again. We've never been disappointed here: sometimes it's super busy, but we always get seen quickly, and they are just so good, this is our home away from home.

The place wasn't busy and yet the queue to get a drink at the bar was way too long. With just one staff member serving while other staff came behind the bar to get stuff but didn't offer to help. Very slow service at the bar. We were sat in the left side as you enter from the car park, which was darker and dingier than the other room. There was clearly a large group in there because they joined the tables at the back to make one long table but didn't rearrange them after this group had left. It felt like a bug open room and we were sat in the corner on a little 3 seater table in the dark. I didn't understand why we couldn't sit in the main area where all the other patrons were and with lots of tables available. The food took 40 minutes, again it wasn't very busy. The food wasn't bad nor was it great. The food was okay for the value. The steak comes on a bed of over cooked very soft onions. There is too much onion plus you get a side of onion rings. Why is there a scoop of onion sizzling on the hot plate with the steak on top of the onion. The steak should be sizzling on the plate to get the char with the onion on top.

Christmas dinner - Staff warm and welcoming and the manager clearly endeavoured to ensure everyone had a happy time. The food however was severely undercooked and unfortunately we had to send much of it back. Never before had a bad meal at the Pottery, however we are very dissatisfied given that the Xmas day menu was £60+pp

We had a booking this evening for 15 of us & we have to say it was faultless. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals with zero complaints, food came out all together, every meal was hot, well presented, plenty full & delicious. Will definetly be back again. Merry Xmas xx

It's a pleasant place. It's sterile atmosphere it's part of American/British culture but it's not a restaurant as everything is cooked from frozen instead from fresh by a chef. The final food on your plate tastes nearly "okay" though. The staff are trying their best reflecting their minimum wage renumeration. Pleasant though and happy to take your orders. Summing up. Not the place where you will take your loved ones it your mates for a 🍻🍻 Plenty of space to park too.

We've just been out for dinner for the first time in AGES, when we walked in it was quite rowdy with Christmas parties but the staff were absolutely smashing it and the service was outstanding. Food was delicious, so quick too! I never normally have steak in pubs but I went for it and it was cooked beautifully.

I have been coming to the Pottery for a while and every time it is amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, I recommend the rib and rump with such a good price it was absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive especially Tom but all the staff ensured that my dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a cozy environment!"

Good value and service excellent

Am a delivery driver been delivering for 5 years never going back there again staff at the front are so rude especially that little lady at the front they ignored me for 15 minutes after I asked my order is ready she aggressively gone WAIT every time I go there it feels like I don't belong here racism will never end I had a business myself staff don't care they want there pay check I feel sorry for the owner no wonder every driver I spoken to they avoid this place I never had a issue but today I realised what they were talking about..I do get ignored all the time but today was worse

Me and another driver went to pick some orders up at this restaurant it's like we weren't there we were invisible we doing them favour dropping food of to there customers me and another driver waited 15 20 minutes for someone to speak to us fare enough your busy but treat us like human beings never going back again rude staffs we'll makesure all drivers boycott this place like we did at mcdonald Caerphilly

The Pottery is a very nice family pub/restaurant with excellent staff and decent food. I have had reason to seek their help with an unfair parking fine I received from Euro Car Parks (I genuinely didn't realise and didn't see the signs). I am extremely happy with the service I have got from the Pottery Management. Very customer focussed and helpful. Thank you Pottery.

The steak today was absolutely fabulous cooked exactly how I liked it. Rhys was the chef that was cooking the steaks, 5***** Lovely relaxed atmosphere the waiters,bar staff are friendly + go out of their way to help. I would recommend trying The Pottery. Brilliant establishment, clean and very presentable. Staff are brilliant made to feel at home. Brilliant pint of wingman brewdog. Orderd the spicy chicken nachos and when it came it was a great portion with plenty of cheese sauce and toppings. For mines I had ordered a 5oz rump with creamy Pepercorn sauce, ordered it as rare and got exactly that, perfect steak. The only negative is that I finish it all! Highly recommend this establishment for a good hearty meal

Booked a table with a group of friends, turned up to be told we didn’t have a booking. Was rectified once the manager was showed booking confirmation. Our table had about 2 forks, and 5 knives for a group of 9 and a few napkins, of which one was already used and placed back with the clean ones. We arrived 10 minutes after the rest of our group, to be told that they’d been rushed to order even though the kitchen didn’t close for a further 45 minutes? I placed out promptly to avoid receiving our meals after our friends, including a starter of mozzarella sticks which they had forgotten to bring out, so ended up having these after our main meals had been served. It says online that they close at 10pm, so we were shocked that they began dimming the lights on us before 9pm! Definitely not in a rush to be going back and risking feeling rushed throughout our whole visit again. The food was good, and serving team were alright.

We booked a table yesterday for 9 of us for a meal for our friend's birthday. When we arrived tonight, firstly we were originally told we hadn't booked, but the manager soon changed his mind when we showed the booking confirmation. He then was hurrying us to order our food, telling us that the kitchen was closing in an hour. There were no menus on the table, one fork, 5 knives, and a couple of tissues which included a very used tissue. The food itself was great, and the servers were fine. When it got to 8:55, the manager started switching off the house lights, despite no warning of final call, nor a simple, polite conversation to say that they were closing. This was in spite of the opening hours on Google being shown as closing at 10pm. The whole group has eaten at the pottery before, and it's generally been pleasant previously. However, I'd be surprised if any of us were in a particular hurry to return. It was a very disappointing way to be treated considering we collectively spent over £200 in a short space of time.

Great food, very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.

The food was great. One thing to remember with the steak and rib combo... it comes on a metal plate that has clearly been heated by dragonfire. Order your steak at least 1 measure more rare than you want it because it is still cooking when it gets to you.

I was very impressed ... I booked online a week or so before but wanted to add a guest...phone & left a message... called back within the hr ...no problem. We were a party of 8 .. 4 kids ... Great experience... food was hot and tasty plus care was given to kids dietary requirements and the staff were great. Can not fault the service or the food. As soon as we walked in (not booked) the staff were smiling and welcoming. I had a tandoori skewer and I've not had better at an Indian restaurant. A taste explosion. Partner had a surf and turf, steak was bang on. Full up, couple of well served beers. Very satisfying

Lovely pub to have a quick bite or a main meal. Good range of food, good prices as well. Note to remember to sign your car reg in whilst staying at this place. Nice decor, staff friendly and its not overcrowded with tables. On a weekend I would book. No problem in returning to this place.

The lovely young man who served us was rushed off his feet ,he was booking people in ,taking them to their tables, working the bar an even cleaning tables and brought our food to us and he was still really polite and friendly great service from him. An the lovely young lady working was also rushed off her feet need more staff but everything was lovely for us and food great too

We arrived and was greeted and seated very professionally. We ordered our drinks and food through the online app, and the drinks came very promptly. With regards to the food order, we were waiting for up to an hour for our food to come. There were other customers who had arrived after us, who had ordered starters with their order and were having starter’s served to them, before we had, had any part of our meal. Surely, if you have ordered up to an hour before other customers have arrived, you should at least expect to be served first. Then we ordered desserts, and we waited and waited, until we asked a member of staff, if there was a problem, they went to ask a member of the kitchen staff, they came back and said, they had lost our order. They eventually came with our desserts, half an hour later. It wasn’t the best service, we’ve had better.

Food and drink were great and good value, quality was very good, only downside was the queues building up and only 2 on the bar area.
