Two lovely lads. Had a good chat as the sausage and chips were getting cooked fresh in front of me. Could tell the oil was fresh. Would recommend you go and try. New owners in the last six months.

Like warm , - scraps for chips - tried to fill carton up with batter so it looked worth the money - sausage was rank !!@ AVOID !!!

Just I said again It’s very lovely

First time using this shop, it was ok but think I'll continue using Crispy Cod as much better fish & chips there. Most of chips were thin & crispy (quite a few were clearly reheated as much darker than the others) they went cold quick & large fish was very thin but I liked the fact the batter was crispy & they weren't too greasy like some fish shops. I'd asked for a small portion of chips but still had loads of them left (perhaps given more due to do many being thin cut & lots of crispy ones). Shame I can upload a photo.

Food is great, batter is crispy. Chips and Fish not greasy. Open all day fantastic. Only problem is it will cost you £13.00 for large cod and chips and £12 for a small cod and chips which means feeding a family of 4 means nearly £50+ for one nights food.

Owner is very hospitable,food nice and fresh,only thing I would suggest is thicken your curry sauce.🤭

Over priced and wasnt even that good ..had to wait for chips and they were scrappy..tryed to sell me stuff that had been sitting in the warmer all day..CRISPY COD is the boss..

Had lunch from here last Fri 24th March and was absolutely lush. Chips were fresh in fact all the food was fresh. I'm going to order tonight fir delivery so will let people know if the new chippy is cooking to high standards still.

This is under new management and first impressions very good, ordered chips, 2 battered sausages and tasted very nice, you can tell they change the oil for frying, totally recommend

Heard bad stuff, but tried the place anyway. Lovely food. Only thing I would say is specials boards need to be outside. Lovely food, massive portions, even the small ones

The chips were burnt black inedible would be ashamed to serve these to anyone and expect payment if that's a sample of the food served here they won't be in business long tiny portion as well and customer service was non existent won't be going back that's for sure

Had before were lovely but tonight the chips were horrible I would not recommend they were so hard nearly broke teeth

Note: most positive reviews are from a year ago or more. Mine used to be positive. It's closed and reopened a few times since then. Most recent experience: The batter was nice. The chips were okay. That's all the positive I have though. Severely overcooked fish. Disgusting curry sauce and mushy peas. No COVID-19 standards at all. Cash only. No masks. No gloves. No signs. No screens. Staff touching each other and in permanent close proximity. There was a socially distanced queue but I think the customers did that themselves. Won't be returning.

After telling my mam to go here instead of her usual chip shop on 12/10/18, she ordered fish bites and chips, she couldn't even eat the chips. The fish was so hard and over done it was like empty packets of batter. Everything was that hard and over done that it was inedible, the whole lot went in the bin. It seems that when Dan (owner) is not in the standards slip and food is very poor qualify. Such a shame.

The worst batter I have ever encountered on a piece of cod. It was flat and greasy. I am very disappointed. Absolutely awful.

First time, best fish and chips in a long time! Huge beautiful cod, one portion of chips was enough for two, curry sauce and mushy peas lovely. No grease at all! Scrumptious.
