Over priced in my eyes. Mrs loves it. Don't see the hype.

Always been quality but absolutely terrible. chicken tenders were an absolute joke, fries rock hard and a dry burger.

First order and if I could give 100/100 I would very tasty food, very well presented, lovely and hot. Overall amazing highly recommended and deffo will be ordering again

Ordered through uber eats waited ages ended up having to ring up only to be told our order had been cancelled as the driver had either stole it or forgot it as my wife and I were told 2 different reasons why it hadn’t been delivered then we arranged to pick it up it was meant to be all getting freshly cooked it took me 5 min to get back home it was absolutely freezing the food it’s self was nice just believe the food was our previous order as it tasted like it had been sat for ages it’s a shame as it’s our first time at Daveys not sure if we’ll be back

I have ordered from here several times on Uber eats. Usually it's good, but the inconsistency is frustrating. Few issues in the past but I never left a review and gave benefit of the doubt. Today I ordered korean chicken tenders with cajun chips, it was so salty I had to throw the whole thing out

I absolutely love daveys been lots but just disappointed this time. Got the salt and pepper wrap and there was no flavour at all like all I could taste was chicken like there was no salt and pepper taste at all just plain chicken and no curry! Also need to go back to original fries. Really not worth £12 for a wrap which was cold as well. Hate to complain but when you pay £12 for chips and a wrap I expect a lot more

Over priced rubbish food don’t have a clue how the manager thinks a milkshake is worth more then a fiver. Rather go to Rosa 12.

Sandyford Been here before a couple of years ago and the food was amazing. Very different experience this time round. We waited one hour for our food order and didn't get all the correct food we ordered. The salt and pepper chicken wrap was very disappointing for the price you pay, two small chicken tenders and barely any salt and pepper seasoning. The burger tasted okay but it was basically cold. The tacos were really delicious. Just very disappointed in the fact you weren't told it would be about an hour's wait for food, and the wrap and burger were not great.

We visited Davey’s on Monday 1st January at around 4.30pm. We ordered 2 burgers with chips. Chicken tenders. 2 milkshakes and 2 cans of pop. We paid £47 and were told it’d only be a 15 minute wait. We sat in the car to wait and went back in after 15 minutes and our food was ready we just had to wait for our milkshakes. As it’s a 15-20 minute drive home we sat in the car to eat this next to the angel of the north. The food was barely warm when we ate. My burger was so dry as if it’d been cooked prior to my order and re warmed. The Mac and cheese on the burger was cold and had no flavour. The chips were okay. The chicken tenders were the only thing that were warm and were really nice too. The milkshakes were lovely too. Really disappointed overall as have wanted to try a Davey’s for so long! Sadly I don’t think I’d want to chance spending another £47 again on a gamble of the food being fresh.

The greatest trick Davey's plays is posting images of food that looks so tasty but serves bland slop.

Food UNREAL, staff UNREAL, Delivery BRILLIANT, Price REASONABLE... If you haven't tried this place, then I would highly recommend you try it out... No, I'm not on commission although I have been tempted on more than one occasion to review it on tiktok... its THAT GOOD!

Ordered two wraps both came missing half the ingredients. The viva El Paso came with literally just egg sausage and red sauce. Awful

Taco was unreal, will be back to try more.

Not as good as I was hoping for after hearing how good it is from others. The burger was extremely gristly, even having huge chunks of it in there, and the bacon was fatty. This is not to be expected at all from somewhere which I consider to be quite expensive. Unfortunately for me that means I will not eat it as I hate gristle, though it may be a personal preference. It was a waste of my money. 3 stars bc the chips were very nice and my partners meal was excellent. The delivery was very quick too.

Ordered from Uber eats, definitely recommend the breakfast burrito was amazing and there sauce was soooo good. It was also really well presented in the box. Some places it shoved in a container. You can tell they care. Great place

Pricey food but milkshake made up for it

Called in today and got 2 different types of chicken burgers and chips, plus 2 cans of coke. £26 the menu at first glance looks nice. Chips were cold and tasted like they'd been cooked then reheated, that horrible chew you get on a chip when they do this. My chicken burger wasn't brilliant, very small and just didn't have a lot of flavour for a honey and chili chicken burger. My partners chicken, half of it was inedible, really tough and poor chicken. We threw majority of it away Won't be calling again, and would not recommend.

Our new favourite thing to get from Uber Eats. These guys really know how to make food! Every single thing on the menu I would smash.

First time I’ve tried davey to ivht and the food was amazing the smash burgers and katsu chicken burgers were lovely also the canon fries aswell.and all packaged and on time

Tried the OG burger with Cajun fries and the food was superb. A FiveGuys rival for sure! Front staff did their job without emotion so no complaints, however a bit lacklustre. A 15 minute wait for the food at lunch time wasn't expected, even though nobody else was in the shop. Not a bad experience but could've been better.

Absolutely amazing experience. Staff were very friendly and was great. The food was amazing. Wasn't expecting what was served up but in a good way. It was worth the 15 mins we were waiting. Tasty fries and the chicken was cooked perfectly in the batter. Omg. Definitely would revisit if I was ever in the area. Really loved it. Haven't had chicken taste like that in ages!

Burger and fries beyond salty. As if the lid for the salter had come off and the contents were just dumped onto everything including the sauce. Not great at all.

Complete waste of money, burger's are small and look nothing like the photos and we didn't realise until later that we didn't see or taste any cheese on either of the burgers which consisted of a few pieces of lettuce and barbecue sauce. 12 and 13 pound for a burger and fries so definitely won't be eating from here again.

Tried Daveys for the first time a couple days ago, after hearing a lot of good things about their food I was excited to be able to sample some personally. I opted for the “Mac N Smash” burger and a can of Diet Coke. It came to £12 which in my opinion is reasonable as the portions are very generous. The burger, fries and coleslaw were all absolutely marvellous and definitely lived up to expectations. The chips were magnificently seasoned and crispy. The coleslaw was super fresh and complimented the rest of the meal handsomely, but the star of the show was definitely the Mac n Cheese topped burger. The Mac n Cheese had a slight suggestion of chorizo in it which worked exceptionally well. The patties were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Sometimes when having a burger that is topped with something like mac n cheese for example, the bun starts to break down and before you know it half of the meal is a sloppy pile, but I’m overjoyed to say that the brioche bun worked perfectly and it was actually a lot easier to eat with out making a mess than I expected! The only downside is car parking is a issue, at the time I went national tires next door was closed so I was able to, albeit quite sneakily, park in their car park, obviously during the day that wouldn’t be viable. I’m excited to explore the rest of the menu and only wish that I lived closer ! 4/5 AP x

All food seems to have chilli in it and a few bites there food makes you sick. Far to much chilli in stuff that doesnt need it like the cheese sauce... Food is to rich and very over priced. Burgers are girstly

I can't believe it !! I'm so gutted , the last time I had Davies I had the original Davies and it was the best burger I'd ever had and my gf said the same about the Korean chicken burger , fries where the best fries we'd had too , it was all just amazing ... This time was an absolute disgrace , the burger had no flavour at all , rubbery, no taste , chips had no seasoning on which where amazing Cajun last time, and my gfs Korean chicken burger was burnt and hardly any sauce on , coleslaw was warm , the chips are just shells they have hardly any potato in !!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGGG DAVEYS !!! We drove 30 minutes for this and are so disappointed , wish we'd of gone to McDonald's :(

Ordered breakfast burger from the Birmingham store. Super tasty, will definitely recommend! Only thing I would say is it would be great if you could add extras such as, mushrooms/tomatoes etc & would love a vegetarian option.

£27 for 2 burgers, a milkshake and some frozen chips. If you’re going to charge stupid prices then at least use decent stuff!

Work office decided to get food in for lunch and we all agreed on Davey's. What can I say the food was absolutely brilliant! The fried chicken burger I had was the best I've ever tasted by a mile! 10/10 Definitely go here!

Everytime i have been for breakfast they are eitherr out of stock or theyve stopped taking orders at 11:40 for breakfast eventhough it states 12pm on menu and socials... Frozen lemonades, blue calypso and watermelon cooler. 10/10 for both, the watermelon shocked me it was actually fresh melon not the flavoured syrup etc . But decent size for the price! Got the Calzone special which was lovely a good 9/10 Also had the sticky chicken burger from here and a few milkshakes through time . Shakes are banging 10/10 Wish you could sit in, bit pricey aswell.

First time trying daveys, and easily a solid 10 out of 10 had the breakfast burger and can't wait to try the original dave.

It was alright. Was most disappointed with the chips tho, they tasted sweet?? Like someone accidentally used sugar to salt my chips and not salt. But besides that everything else was decent, nothing insane though.

It feels like this place is on a bit of a downward spiral. First orders were great, delicious and generously portioned. My most recent two orders have been disappointing. Their Korean chicken burger was dry, unappetising and quite small for the money. Their pizza chips were heavily over-seasoned. There is no finesse in their dishes any more and I feel that they are vastly overpriced. I hope the owners haven't taken their eye off the ball as it would be nice to think they can resurrect their previous high standards.

Hard to find a clean takeaway in brum these days whilst still having good taste and a decent budget but Daveys deffo delivers! Flavours good however, nothing crazy spectacular but it’s definitely clean and good cut meat. I recommend getting the Korean chicken burger as it had a nice texture sauce to it and was tasty! Only downfall is the CRINKLE OVEN CHIPS?? What’s that all about absolutely killed it as the milkshake was sooo good 😍ordered twice now. But the chips has put me off ordering again please do cheesy chips or something freshly made not oven. Other then that great variety of food with great taste

Horrendous I have ordered many times from place in Sandyford always been amazing food. First off the wrap I ordered the chicken was like chewing leather. The coating salt and pepper chicken was burnt inedible. Obviously why the chicken was drier then the Sahara desert. Paid for a upgrade on the fries like seriously a handful of greasy chips could taste no bacon and old cheese sauce thrown on. Side salad £4 could have got a way better salad for a quid at supermarket. Biscoff pie was delicious a £20 order for myself what I got I was shocked. If this is the same owner he has some major addressing to do. I ain't order from Sandyford for a little bit but pray there standard has not slipped to this. The Gateshead branch On my banned list for sure. Would have left zero stars if possible but left 2 for pie.

Was a bit Sceptical at first waiting for the order but when it arrived wow amazing best burger I’ve had delivered not dry or sloppy was perfect couldn’t ask for better also got a white chocolate kinda and coffee shake was lush grate job will be ordering again soon.

I'm not even exaggerating. They do the nicest burgers I've ever had. Practically the same price as burger king too which is mental. I had the original burger and my partner had the bacon cheese. Both were unreal!! You can really taste the beef patty's, a nice Charr on them, so tatsy. Chicken is so nice. Well done lads. Nice to have some quality and original food available for delivery in Gateshead. We will definitely order again.

Sorry but this was really poor. Firstly i waited for almost 25 minutes. Ordered 2 XL breakfasts and they were just normal sized breakfasts being sold at £8 each. The hash browns were cremated, the eggs were undercooked and snotty, the toast was soggy because it was put into the same box as the breakfast, the only things I can't complain about were the mushrooms. The sausage was cooked ok but was really cheap and tasteless. Barely warm too as it was served in a cardboard box that doesn't keep the heat in. An XL breakfast should be XL and not served in a tiny carton. It was well below average. Too many complaints. Need to up their game. Need better cooking skills and better boxes.

Thought I'd try Davey's after hearing good things and was definitely not disappointed. Turned up on minging rainy day but was greeted by a smiley member of staff. Opted for a breakfast burger which consisted of a sausage patty, bacon, fried egg, hash brown and cheese. The lass at the counter offered to bring it out to the car when ready which was much appreciated. I must say, it was awesome - for all it consisted of mainly fried food it wasn't at all greasy, everything tasted perfect. It came in a canny little box with knife, fork and napkins so no issues re making a mess. I'll definitely be back.

Got a take away for two burgers tonight. You lads should be proud of what youve made daveys. It was one of the best burgers ive ever had, And it was delivered straight to my door!

The Macaroni cheese, cajun chips and blackbean chicken was really nice, infact the best macaroni ive tasted! Shame about the burgers (Peri peri and Chicken Katsu) because they weren't nice at all... Katsu tasted like cheap chip shop curry sauce and not really what you would expect. The value is in the sides and amount of food you get... sadly :(

Tried Daveys for the 1st time tonight, I had starburst ice cream shake, bacon double chesse burger and the pizza fries. Everything I ordered was beautiful and I will definitely order again. Also the staff I met are fantastic they really give Daveys a good name. Keep up the good work.

My favourite chicken burger in the whole world is here - the Korean chicken burger. Our first time here but won't be our last. The chips had amazing seasoning on and I think could have ate 3 portions alone - cajunny spice with a bit of salt and sweet. The Korean burger had a delicious sticky glaze on that wasn't too sweet but had somehow still been kept crunchy - a real treat. The coleslaw was also special with creaminess and slices of apple. The philly steak sandwich was generous and rich, but a touch on the salty side for us. Dessert was a type of lotus biscuit/cinnamon roll which was really tasty. Meals range from ~£8 with a free can of pop included and desserts ~£3 Really beautiful takeaway food here and the sharer boxes look like a brilliant way to spend an evening in. Highly recommend

Amazing food! Would highly recommend. We had the Sticky Korean Chicken Burger and Philly Cheesesteak Sub with the two milkshake specials (at the time), one a white chocolate, raspberry and Krispy Kreme and the other a Milkyway crispy roll. The beef in the sub melted in your mouth and the sticky chicken had a hint of mango chutney and honey which was lovely but not overly sweet.

First time at daveys today have been meaning to come for ages as I have read all the good reviews and it didn’t disappoint Had the breakfast burger and fantastic freshly squeezed orange juice Service is great and staff are friendly Looking forward to trying one of their daily specials or a shared box and a milkshake next time

I went yesterday and had the best breakfast so my partner and I decided to go back today. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches (one with added mushrooms which the server said was fine) and 2 shakes. They forgot about our order, with people who got there long after us getting their food. We only managed to get our order 30 minutes later after having to approach the window again. This wasn't to much of an issue as I was willing to wait for good food, however, when I received my sandwich, it didn't have the mushrooms on I requested, and I later found a hair which wasn't ideal as these things can happen, so looked past it as a mistake. I then went on to find 3 extra hairs buried within various parts of the sandwich with just totally put me off. I wasn't able to return for a refund or to explain due to other commitments, and its such a shame as we really enjoyed it yesterday, the food is delicious when it's right, just unfortunately on this occasion, the experience wasn't great.
