I have been here for a coffee before but this was the first time I had a meal. Very fast service and reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyable and will return. Thanks for a wonderful (late) breakfast. You are a real asset to the area.

Was waiting at the door as it told us too but no one came. There was a girl, maybe on a break, sitting next to the door smoking. I looked in and asked could we come in and the guy said yes. Placed our order and sat at a table inside as outside had chairs on tables as it had rained. It was £12.50 for two coffees and a sandwich and a cheese baguette. It was nice but a bit pricey as I thought you would get some crisps and salad on the plate. Most places do this for the same price as this cafe. I would go again when I visit the cemetery but probably only for a coffee.

I’ve been using this cemetery for a number of years and always enjoyed the cafe. Unfortunately I’ve found recently the food quality has gone down and the prices have gotten too high for me to treat my family to a drink and snack as I used to. It’s a shame as I now have to meet up with friends and family after we have visited our family graves when we used to enjoy a chat and catch up at the cafe.😞

We had the No. 1 Breakfast today. The brown toast was very good, and nice that the baked beans were served in a separate dish. BUT, when the food arrived, it looked very unappetising with a coating of brown grease on the plate. The bacon and eggs were covered in black bits, probably from a hot plate or grill that hadn't been cleaned properly, or at all. Over the years we have had lunch here and it used to be very good, but now tends to be hit and miss. Please, Poppy Pantry, clean your hot plate and grill.

In a lovely setting this café is a great place to stop for a snack or light meal. There is a lovely patio and ample space inside in colder weather. It is clean, the food is tasty at a reasonable price and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. (Do not be put off by the fact it is in a cemetery, it is a little oasis away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life).

We are regular visitors to the City of London and always look forward to a snack (and ice cream in the summer) in The Poppy Pantry after going to our loved ones. The staff are always polite and friendly and the food always of a high standard. The Poppy theme throughout is a tribute to our fallen heroes which I find most admirable. Well done to the proprietors, keep up the good work.

I heard about Poppys originally from people who had visited loved ones in the Cemetery. Since then I have been there to meet friends numerous times just for a cup of tea/coffee/cake or light lunch. It is a very pleasant setting. After a while you forget you are actually in a Cemetery. The staff are exceptionally helpful and are at pains not to rush you out even if they are starting to clear up.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a cafe in the City of London Cemetery when attending my friends funeral service; however, my surprise was the only thing pleasant about it. The food was dreadful, the seating area had dirty tables (which stayed that way for the entire time i was there),the man who was responsible for cooking my food was incredibly rude and obnoxious, and to top it all off, the prices were outrageous....its Manor Park, not the West end. Such a shame as the cemetery itself and the staff that work there are amazing. Definitely will not be using this cafe in the future.

Lovely and peaceful space set in the extensive cemetery and crematorium. Tasty wholesome food, at great prices. Plenty of outside seating set in the garden

Poppy Pantry at the London Cemetery is a lovely cafe in pleasant surroundings and an excellent place to visit after seeing your ex-loved ones. The inside is like an old-fashioned tea room and the outside quiet and tranquil. My objection to giving a better review is the fact that they report that they close at three-thirty, but start cleaning away at two forty-five and requested our outside chairs at three-fifteen. You feel that you are unwelcome.

16th March 2019 we had a funeral reception here for 80 people for a disabled relative and we wanted a venue that was accessible for all who wished to attend. The hall that is by the entrance to the cemetery was so useful- just 2mins walk from where the committal had taken place, with disabled access, disabled toilet and no difficulty parking on site. All the food we had requested was provided promptly and included delicious cream cheese and salmon bagels, freshly prepared. Food was replenished as needed and the staff quietly and efficiently went about their business. Thank you.

really cosy welcoming place for snacks and a hot drink. Stayed there longer than we should have. Loved the World War theme and all the letters from previous customers and charities that the pantry support.

We have been enjoying the Poppy Pantry and regularly call there for a coffee. So we called at 3.10 and were told sorry the coffee machines are finished for the day. Not only this all the chairs are put on the tables while you are having coffee. We will not be calling in there again. There are many other local coffee shops locally that are polite, and willing to serve customers.

I booked the Poppy Pantry on the recommendation of the Co-op for my Mother's wake. The venue looked delightful, in a listed building, with pleasant mood lighting and a lovely atmosphere. Imagine my horror when we were lead across the yard to where the venue really was. A portacabin classroom with vile fluorescent lighting and absolutely no atmosphere! I cannot believe they charge £100 per hour plus VAT. It's an absolutely rip off. The food was very so so and not what I had ordered at all, again at £13.00 per head I would have expected much better quality. There was no service, everyone had to help themselves and half the guests got lost as there was no one to direct them from the Poppy Pantry to the actual venue! I really feel that we were taken advantage of at this extremely stressful and upsetting time. The website is extremely misleading as there are no photos at all of the actual wake venue, just pretty pictures of the Poppy Pantry itself. My advice is to find somewhere more local, do not be fooled as we were.

Lovely little area for you to sit and have a decent breakfast. Friendly staff and it’s very peaceful. Always stop there after visiting the crematorium. Lovely garden to sit in when the weathers nice.

Having been to this place for a funeral wake, they should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they did for what they provided. All the food was clearly from a freezer chain. If they’d spent £100 I would be surprised but they charged almost...

Arrived here at 2:45pm and asked to order some food. We were told that they were closing soon (3:30pm) and that they didn’t have any hot food left. The guy said he could do some panini’s (that’s all we wanted) but made us feel like...

I am usually a regular and loyal customer of Pret A Manger, but my recent experiences at the 39 Coventry Street location have been quite disappointing. On my latest visit, I ordered a white Americano but was served a black Americano instead. When I pointed out the mistake, the staff member simply poured milk into the coffee, causing it to overflow. When I requested her to transfer some of the coffee into a new cup, she rudely refused. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable, especially for a regular customer like myself. Additionally, on another recent visit, I was given an overfilled cup of coffee, which ended up spilling onto my white shirt. The staff at this location clearly need more training on both customer service and proper serving techniques. I hope the management takes note and makes the necessary improvements.

Popped in for coffee and croissants whilst waiting to check in at Birmingham Airport. Small crowded area, service was slow and not very cheery and very expensive. We also had to clear our table from the left overs of the previous customer.

Servicio rápido y sorprendente calidad de bebida. Recomiendo especialmente la batidora de mango y fresa con lichi boba, ahora es oficialmente mi bebida favorita.
