The Pod in Norwich

Whent at 0645 17 April 2025 the early bird deal was £1.40 even that is expensive it whent up 10p on 1/4/25 to day the price was £1.75 that is 32%in just over 2 weeks for on a normal day less than hot coffee with a cup that is only three quarters full. No price was displayed today that is illegal when I complained I was told Lee must have put it up some bloke appeared with a lap top at 7am and the manager and him were doing prices to display while they talked and the manager kept pointing at me then at 7-20 the price sheets were put in front of the tills utterly disgusting

Arrived early for hospital appointment - good place to sit, wait and watch the world go by, but the service was slow and rather muddled. Very expensive!

Had to take brother to NNUH. After four hours in a&e decided to have coffee and scone (all three of us) in the pod before heading back home. Think it came to about £17.00. Coffees were ok but all three of us remarked on how very very salty the cheese scones were to the point of them being quite unpleasant. On our departure my partner spoke to the manager who said she would try one immediately and apologised. Also the air conditioning was blasting out cold air on a January day when it was about 2 or 3 degrees outside. Everyone sat wearing their jackets. Really not a pleasant experience.

Awful Coffee Prices akin to an airport ( captive audience). Pleasant staff mercenary attitude towards customers. Bring a packed lunch and a thermos.

Requested a toasted tea cake - it was barely toasted and looked anaemic, but worse than that it was dry and stale. Coffee would have been nice has it been hot but … Hardly a complicated meal …. need to do better!

We asked for cheese toastie the bar person said we have no cheese! We asked for bacon toastie the bar person said sorry we have no bacon! There were no other choices. The bar person said she send someone to the shop for cheese. She asked if we wanted brown or white bread. My friend asked if the brown was granary or wholemael she said it was granary. When the toasties arrived mine was barely toasted limp white bread, it was chewy. The granary was wholemeal, it had bits of a black serviette stuck to the cheese. Absolutely vile place!

Had a delicious coffee after coming out of hospital so was much needed, and my mum said her drink was also the nicest costa coffee she’s had!

Muy decepcionado con el servicio, al personal le importaba un comino. Comida caliente, lo que había parecía muerto. Saqué un rollo de salchicha grande y pequeño del gabinete caliente, marcado como rollo de salchicha, resultó ser un rollo de queso. Dios sabe de dónde sacaron el queso, pero no era queso como yo lo sabemos y el rollo de salchicha grande era vegano. ¡El comentario se aplica igual que el queso! NO USE ¡No lo haré! !

Podría haber sido café de la marca Costa Coffee, pero el área de preparación era más parecida al piso de A&E después de una tragedia, ¡fue un verdadero desastre! Para 12, obtuve dos capuchinos medianos, un rollo de salchicha empapado y dos nueces. Las Do - nueces estaban bien, pedí canela en mi cappuccino, aparentemente solo hay dos cantidades; ninguno y una duna de arena fluida! Creo que es desagradable la forma en que estos vendedores estafan a los enfermos, los precios deberían limitarse ya que no es una competencia justa.

Very rude staff behind counter - no hello, please or thank you! Place was filthy too. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had to ask for plates and cutlery not offered as till operator just wanted payment not interested on what needed for food bought at same time as hot drinks . Very expensive for shabby customer service won’t go back . Tables needed clearing and cleaned.

Quite an old feeling restaurant served by a Costa at the entrance to Norfolk and Norwich hospital. Relatively quick service - standard costa fare - but a real lack of atmosphere in the place - the tables and chairs actually look quite new , but the place feels old

.... firstly all the cafes etc that use the posh coffee machines are so slow on service. I think they should have two stations as staff and people going to hospital alike using this place have to queue round the corner. Also it is very pricey.
