Good local pub. Staff are really sound. The food is nice and fast, good family pub. Good for kids. Emily is a true bobby dazzler.

Went in for food this weekend - scampi and chips were lovely and reasonable. Still smiley, friendly staff, very helpful.

Top meal last night at the Plough, really enjoyed the new menu.Enjoyed the chicken pie, wife loved the salmon.we attended with some friends for a night out and we all enjoyed the whole experience.Added to that we had a voucher which gave us 40% off the whole bill.We will be attending again soon to sample some of the other new dishes on the menu

We called in for lunch today, we haven't been in the Plough for some years. Which is a big error on our part. We have to say it was a delicious meal and quite inexpensive. We will not leave it so long before we go back again.

Often pop in for a drink or coffee and starter. Staff always friendly and cheerful, Sierra and Chloe always make you feel welcome. Must pop in to try new menu.

Came here on Saturday for a family dinner. Food was brilliant. Really friendly/polite staff and great service from Emily. Definitely coming again :)

First time back for a while and can say what a difference, the staff Sierra, Chloe and Emily really looked after us, we had sirloin steak and rib roast for our main and it was cooked to perfection, the only complaint we can make is to bring back the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and cookie dough cheese cake to make a perfect meal.

Many visits here and generally good. Can be lovely in the summer in the garden by the canal however last nights visit just didn't hit the mark. A bugbear of mine is drinks served in the incorrect glasses. A wrong glass can alter the overall finished taste. Not hard. Just put it in the right glass. Buns on the burgers were burnt and poorly presented Ice cream sundaes advertised not available.

Not impressed with new menu. Small portions, asked for rare steak but arrived well done as it continued to cook on hot platter, chopped salad missing half ingredients and quiz night meant 45mins between starter & main. No banofee cheescake, which was fab on old menu. Staff trying their best, did knock salad off the bill. Won't be going back for food anytime soon. Shame, used to be good.

Great quiz... Charlotte is the best! Bar staff are friendly and there is a good atmosphere at the pub. Busy on a Thursday evening for the quiz, so order any food you want quickly!

I ordered sizziling Caribbean chicken skewer it arrived not sizzling so dried out it resembled a dog chew inedible in a greasy pool of something. Husband had lasagne also over cooked filled about a quarter of the bowl. So disappointing so was the attitude of the manager so sad because this could be a lovely place to eat

Food was really tasty and cooked to perfection. We ordered steak and the pork belly sizzlers, we were both very satisfied with our meals. Would most definitely recommend and come again soon.

We run our Garden Day Trips from here and start with a scrumptious bacon and egg cob. Service is excellent and well run. Rave reviews from all our passengers. We love the food that much we end our trip with an evening meal. Thank you team.

It’s the first time we’ve been to the Plough and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely, big portions and reasonably priced. Our food was cooked by Warren today. We would definitely visit again.

All of the bar staff are friendly, the food and drink is good and Charlotte's quiz on a Thursday is very entertaining and worth a visit.

Myself and 5 others visited last Sunday and boy was I impressed. Not normally a huge fan of branded pubs as their all the same, restricted with menus etc but this was the opposite! The menu choice is huge, ‘ Sunday roast’ options limited but none the less theres litterally something for everyone. Including the little ones. We all had 2 courses with a few having desserts, I couldn’t manage one as the portions are really good too! Any of the burgers sounded and did taste nice, they also included a free drink I think. Place needs a little bit of TLC but I was speaking to a member of staff who said there’s a refurb due soon which will be really good! Pints/drinks are reasonable if not cheaper than my usual local too! Overall a really good family day out and well worth the money, can’t remember the total bill but it wasn’t a lot considering what the 6 of us had!

We visited as a table of 8 to celebrate a family birthday, I did check the reviews before which are mixed but any rubbish ones are totally wrong! The pub offers a hugeeeee menu with even huger portions, the value for money, food quality and service couldn’t be faulted. A lot of the family has skillets which all looked and smelt incredible but I stuck with a classic burger, wow it was good! Only thing I’d say that could improve would be more TVs but that’s just a minor thing

Never normally a review or Trip Advisor fan but after speaking with my wife, I decided to give these guys one! I visited with my wife and kids and had a great time. My mixed grill was one of the best I've had at a fraction of the usual price, wife's Lasagne was good and the kids were really happy too. Garden is fantastic and the pub's worth a visit just for that alone, just a shame it rained as we got another drink. Looking at going for xmas as their menu looks good and again is at a cracking price. Cant wait to go back.

This pub serves one of the best breakfast for value of money good quality sausages eggs perfect the beans are hot never cold absolutely faultless and Me and my friend are very picky by far !!!!! highly recommend staff very friendly nothing to much trouble keep up the good work

Me and my partner had a few drinks and a meal and it was the best value for money experience I've had in a long long time! The beer garden which sits on the canal, was really nice and certainly a hidden gem. I had the Eastern Trio and my partner had one of the baguettes from the 'lite bites' section, both meals tasted excellent and were generous portions too! The waitress who both brought our food out and took the order was really friendly too! Overall a great visit and cant wait to return.

Popped in for lunch with friends a few weeks ago and was not disappointed! A great menu with plenty of choice for everyone, one of my friends is vegan and commented how good the Vegan menu was!

The drinks here are good with real ales (a good sign) on draught. The local blonde (ale not woman) is not that good to be fair but the doom bar is a gorgeous ale for a meal.

Great to pop in to a pub where nothing is any trouble, great WiFi, lovely food and offered coffee throughout the visit. Definitely will return.

Firstly this is a traditional pub at heart, not one of those built for purpose on a industrial estate, bar seemed it need of a little update improvement, and the spirits were very sparse, walked into the restaurant area and totally different loads of stock and spirits, so if you have never visited this pub before and just hit the main front bar, you might be a little concerned. The restaurant - eating area was pleasant enough with much improved service and friendly staff, good offers on drinks, We ordered food and all had steak, the dishes were extremely good and plentiful for the price, not the best steak I have ever had but probably one of the cheapest, All in all very good and would return,

The Plough is a decent enough place to come for something to eat when you can't be bothered to cook for yourself, for it offers all the usual trappings of a middle of the road restaurant without even pretending to be a pub anymore.

The staff was extremely helpful, my partner ordered a chicken burger and they brought out a veggie burger instead, this was a genuine mistake and the staff could not be more apologetic. They brought out nachos while we waited and offered us a free drink. The food was absolutely beautiful, highly recommend this place.

Avoid. Very dirty. In need of full renovation. Heinz mayonnaise on table on very warm day which clearly states on the bottle "keep refrigerated once opened"
