The Plough Hotel in Northampton

Went to the hotel for a funeral wake. Manager was incredibly rude saying that we couldn't use their plates or the bottles of water that were bought for the kids. Understand they have policies but come on, a it was for a funeral wake and b, she didn't have to be rude about it...appalling customer service given the circumstances.

Rooms not cleaned and smelled musty. On check out we discovered a mouldy pizza and chicken wing bones under the bed which meant the room had not been cleaned prior to check in. Wouldn’t recommend

Not worth the money, unfriendly staff, unwelcoming introduction, tiny single bed room, not very clean, and their soap dispenser is a shampoo?! On top of all of this, the breakfast isn't included, it costs £15. If you're looking for a place to stay in Northampton consider the Langham instead, it's half the price, breakfast included and you get a bigger room and nicer staff.

The manager was like mi mom taking care of me when I came from pub 🤣🤣🤣thank you and sorry 😁!!! Ure the 👌 best

Had afternoon tea here was absolutely 100 percent scummy ,staff where lovely . Warm scones with clotted cream are a must have they melt in your mouth x refit looks amazing we sat in a booth and had 2 pots of tea with fresh strawberries 🍓 🍓

Very tired hotel in a very weird location amongst disused warehouses so not very picturesque room was large and bed was okay but very tired although we're very helpful welcoming and warm thank you

Lots dancing high groups from far away from disco for girls girls for TV for hen night for the good friends group digs film club has a series. Disco due 21st is holiday summer. Hope dancin and singing has finished fun tinie photos first guide. I can see ladies and gentlemen here but just best friends visit him guys visit her get it out get got here. Go disco free for getting the money.

Significant safety concerns. There was no way to get fresh air into the room. There was no door lock inside the room. The water pressure wss so low in the morning the toilet could not be flushed. Though quite shabby, the room was cleaned with some care and the sheets were spotless. Despite convenient proximity to rail station and friendly staff will definitely never stay here again.

Somewhat clean room, but very rundown. No deadbolt on the door, so anyone with a key can walk in. No ventilation, incredibly stuffy. Very small, but that's to be expected. The walls were peeling, and generally not a good aesthetic. The bathroon was somewhat dirt. The toilet seat shifted precariously when sat on, and the flushing mechanism stopped working overnight (not clogged, just stopped working). Not a good place to stay, would not stay there again. The location is certainly not worth it.

To be completely honest, the rooms (we stayed in two of them for less than 12 hrs) were okay. The first room we stayed in was very very simple and the bathroom was not super clean. I think any bathroom in the hotel is lacking, so if that’s a priority for you, don’t stay here. The man at the front was not very receptive and, to be frank, a little rude. The rest of the hotel is not very nice and there is no elevator, so you have to take your luggage upstairs. The only good thing was the location in Northampton, although the city wasn’t amazing either. We left the next morning.

Very central, nicest people, a cool bar we had such a good time in. All lovely.

I paid extra for a double room and was given the smallest room they had even though the hotel was empty, i mean you had to turn sideways to get round the bed, nowhere to put bags etc, seriously small... food was strange, not recommended, i had a steak and the peppercorn sauce was just gravy with pepper added, horrible.. english breakfast was runny eggs, bacon and 1 sausage, no toast or anything, nothing right about the stay, will not go back..
