We went for the fireworks tonight. It was pretty good!

Great atmosphere for a local pub.

Excellent staff and excellent patrons. Everyone made me feel really welcome.

We stopped here for lunch with a group following a walk. The food was of good quality and the service was also good.

We went to hear a friend sing and WOW what a lovely friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit to this local.

Proper old fashioned friendly pub. Great beer garden and always has loads going on.

Disappointed that normal full fat coke/Pepsi isn't on tap.

My brother just popped in for 3 pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord with his glass growler bottle. The barman was surly and handed my brother the bottle back without the cap. He denied it had a cap saying he couldn’t find it. This is very poor! The beer is not in great condition either.

Nice pub with good ambience. You will get almost all the drinks here. Its having a snooker table (paid per game). It has outside sitting as well.

Website not updated and maybe a change of ownership in the last 3 years so we were a bit disappointed with the food on offer having said this quality ok.suggest a bit more choice and laid out better would bring in more guests.

Great tasting food with a good atmosphere

Very friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Food was cheap, but so were the ingredients. Beef and ale pie was unpleasant. Wouldn't eat there again.

Seemed okay with a park in the garden for the kids. However, the meals we wanted to order were not available at the time. As such we decided to go to a local chain down the road a little more accommodating.

Stopped for lunch while in the area and was glad we did. Warm welcome, pleasant decor, good menu. The steak pie was lovely with a nice rich gravy, missus had the mac and cheese with really nice, herby garlic bread. Service was prompt too. We will definitely call again.

What a lovely little pub. Walked here from harbury fields caravan site. About 3 1/2 miles. Very friendly pub, staff and locals. Dog friendly and great reasonably priced food menu although we didn't eat. Drinks reasonable too. Highly recommended 👌

Went here last summer when the pubs reopened and was honestly one of the best days/nights I have had. Food was amazing, staff were very attentive, atmosphere was immense and the venue itself was very clean and tidy. Would 100% recommend!

Visited the plough over the weekend and had a great day. The food was really good (we had cheese and bacon burgers). The service was great, quick as they could be using only table service! Would recommend! Will be going back soon

I visited this pub on a couple of occasions in the last week and prior to lockdowns and think they have dealt with the reopening very well. All staff wore masks inside and outside despite it not being necessary outdoors so this was appreciated It was extremely busy and all staff worked very hard to accommodate. There was naturally a short wait with the amount of people but we were just happy to be back out supporting a local business that has had a tough time in the last year We can't wait to visit again

Very slow service the staff are very busy

I understand that we are living in difficult times but covid rules are there for a reason and need to be implemented. We wore masks waiting at the garden entrance, a waitress shouted over, "just grab a table anywhere". We sat down, waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged, I can accept that if the staff hadn't served other people who sat down after us. 95% of the customers didn't wear a mask when moving around, the staff wore masks around there necks leaving mouth and nose exposed. Customers moving around standing chatting to other customers, I recognise it's hard for staff and venues but if you can't do the basics then don't open.

Friendly staff in this typical English pub with large tv screen in the bar and quieter dining areas. Serves good choice of "pub grub" reasonable sized car park and some outdoor seating.

While I was slightly shocked to see ketchup in packets on the table the food was reasonable. Kids menu is really well priced and all it needed was a few more options on the full menu. Chips were the highlight (which sounds odd I know but they were lovely handmade chips).

It has been many years since I was last in this place and it has changed so much. Modernised but still keeping the old pub feel. I don't drink so I can't comment on the ales. The food we had was good. There is a fair sized car park and a nice garden area to the rear of the pub. Will definitely be going again.

Had the Sunday roast- very disappointing, can't complain about the beef which was lovely but tinned potatoes, frozen carrots and a reheated Yorkshire pudding just wasn't nice and wasn't very warm either which was a shame when you're looking forward to the meal.

I went here two times and is a nice Pub to stay a little bit. Inside you have different environments, and you can sit outside as well. The bartenders are OK and everything seems clean. I don't tasted the food but as far I saw from other tables have good aspect.

Found this little gem of a pub yesterday. Beautiful big garden and play area for the kids. They even blew up a bouncy castle as they saw our children arrive! Reasonable prices too. Will definitely be visiting lots in the summer.
