A decent pub, lots of parking, an outside area and decent staff. Reasonably clean. Reasonable decorative order. Reasonable beer and prices. It’s ok. Nice pool table.

Accused us of our dogs being unfriendly when they are very friendly.. note to anyone with a German shepherd, don’t go there with them as the couple who run it will probably accuse you of your dog being ‘highly reactive’ and then promptly ban you

I Always love coming to the plough. Vicki and tom couldn't be more hospitable, there was a live act on playing some great music, even though it was busy the pub was immaculate. Also one of the best pints of Guinness I've had in the area. Thank you Vicki and tom for a great pub.

Good local pubs with are becoming rarer in the local area, but The Plough continues to fly the flag for cracking quality beer and friendly service. The landlords are very passionate about making everyone feel welcome. And as the Summer approaches , the outside seating will be packed as usual with friendly locals. Great place for sport with multiple screens, yet they're not too intrusive. Highly recommend 👍👍

After recently moving house and new to the area we called in just for one drink this is now turned into our regular the management Tom and his partner are really friendly the staff very welcoming very accommodating for our dog Lola who we think has made a new boyfriend with the owners Dog. Always very clean, all the staff but especially the management all make us want to come back time after time. We have been four times now and I will be back every week without fail.

Very poor.. the lady and gent who run the pub sit drinking away the profits.. they bring in takeaways and should sit in the restaurant area but they don’t.. customers are not allowed to do this so really they need to set the example and not eat in the bar area.. the gents dog was aggressive towards one of mine.. the gents attitude is unfriendly and unwelcoming much as the same is the lady who runs it too.. don’t bring your dogs here as the guy running it might feel embarrassed if yours gets more attention than his.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Could have said not to bring dog so absolutely load of rubbish and their were witnesses to say my dog did nothing so absolutely disgusting behaviour will be taken further neither was I approached about it so complete load of rubbish bar a customer yet dog friendly pub yet it was yourselves that said they were welcome I will be contacting the brewery and letting them know what else takes place I’ve observed at the pub including theft of drink told to brewery it’s a leak on system consumed by manager

Very welcoming little pub in the heart of Gresford, staff are incredibly friendly. Good choice of drinks on draught and spirits as-well as a bar snacks menu, outdoor seating available and dog friendly in the main bar. Bar also provided treats and water dishes outside for our dogs. Will definitely visit again!

Ordered 2 wines and a cider, however they gave me 2 wines and a lager. Went back to tell them and he accused me of lying saying I asked for half a Carlsberg and he refused to change it to cider unless I paid for it. Staff are terribly rude.

The new owners have done a great job at keeping The Plough friendly and welcoming to all who visit. Good drinks with good people, what more could you ask for! Definitely worth paying a visit and looking out for their events like Garyoke and quiz night!

Great place never had a bad time, always friendly staff and a good variety of drinks. Events are always top and the management are always helpful and respectful! Top place!

Got most sports on (not sure if they had bt sports) limited food menu at present (looking for chefs) but do amazing pizzas and nachos, under £15 for bottle wine and the new owners dog is adorable Live music or karaoke on Friday and a quiz on Thursdays

Came to watch the Champions League semi-final. Sadly, they don't pay for BT. However, nice service in clean and tidy pub with great gin choices.

We called by on our holiday to Wales. Excellent highly recommendable to all. Large car park, Spacious clean comfortable and the food was perfect spot on my wife who is gluten free was catered for too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Already promised a return visit 👍

Food was delicious, hot and fresh we had pizza and a pasta dish and both were fabulous! Staff were friendly, inviting and couldnt do enough to make us feel welcome :) even had a chat with Marcus and Lisa the managers and just from a brief chat you can understand why this pub is the way it is :) There was football on in the bar area and the atmosphere was great. The pub was spotless including the toilets and the whole place was immaculately decorated, what a great pub for everything from a quick pint on a dog walk, to watching the footy or even a full family meal... We will be back :D Thank you again Marcus, Lisa and eveyone at the Plough

Wow what an amazing hidden gem, stopped here for some food last week the pizza was amazing and not shy on toppings. Lisa was excellent really helpful and I think the chap was Marcus… Such a lovely warm welcoming, the pub was lovely and clean and well priced… will be back… Thank you 😊

Two course meal with work mates. Excellent food and staff, definitely a place to visit, the place is clean and decorative, my first visit. The staff were helpful on advising of the beer, Brains Rev James was a good choice to advise and I will be coming back

Our company had a Christmas dinner here, two courses. The food was very good and more than enough for everyone . The staff were very polite, helpful and funny, I would definitely recommend this establishment and they sell brains beer. If in the area, worth a visit

17 of us enjoyed a lovely afternoon meal at the Plough . They had gone to a great effort to make the table look lovely and inviting. Also set a small table for the birthday cake and gifts. We were able to drop the cake off in the morning. Some of us had the pies , some pasta and others pizza. All were served together, were piping hot and delicious. The service throughout the meal was excellent. Lisa and Marcus obviously take great pride in their food and checked regularly that everyone was happy . We were all made to feel very welcome. A big Thanks to everyone involved.

Great range of draught lagers, nice to see Coors available 🍻. Both times I have visited the pub has been spotless, and the team are so friendly! Got chatting to the landlord Marcus and he's a cracking guy, if you're in Gresford and fancy a quality pint - this is the pub!

How can there be a pub in the UK that doesn't allow any one under the age of 25 after 3pm in the establishment. It's a joke, travelling a far distance to find this out. The information wasn't on there website so I believe we should be served. They also promoted a Halloween party that didn't contain this information. The manager wasn't present and couldn't explain there reasoning.

Hosted my sons christening after do this past weekend. The lounge had plenty of room for 30 of us all to have a seat and mill around. We opted for a cold food buffet which was really nice and a great array of food, home made sausage rolls and pizza as well as lovely coronation chicken, chicken mayo and egg sandwiches. The fresh made pasta also went down really well. The staff and the landlord couldn't be more helpful and everything went off perfectly. Their help really took the stress away from me of making food or hosting a party for after the service and I was able to relax and enjoy myself. I will happily recommend them to my friends and family!

We live just down the road but haven't been in for so long, since izabella took over they had a refurb and then we had lockdown so time to try again. Just been for dinner we had rump steak and I had burger steak was really great chips lovely nice hot food and plates all the staff great had a nice chat with izabella who says they are having a polish night end november, I'm so glad our local is back and brilliantly managed

Visited last night for a meal. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Chef/owner actually came to table to discuss gluten free options with my wife who is celiac. Food was great and landlady was really friendly. Will definitely return.

Being new to the area I came across the Plough. Friendly landlord, good cask ale and relaxed venue to watch EPL games. Easy parking also a bonus.

I'm very surprised that some customers have found the staff & owners to be rude. My wife and I have started to visit the Plough more often lately because of the cracking beer garden & because of the friendly welcome we receive. The landlady is always chatting to the customers & seems very popular .The staff have been very nice and attentive with us , so we will continue to call in & I hope you will too.

I have visited the plough on various occasions with friends over recent years and never have I come across two horrible people than the current landlord and landlady. The landlady is downright rude and vile the way she talks to her customers and the attitude she gives off around the place, creating a grim atmosphere amongst drinkers. I shall not be visiting until it is under new ownership (which I hope is soon) and I don’t think anyone else should too.

Walked a mile to the pub , because it said it was open only to find it closed, absolutely miserable.

Nice village pub....with food offers on a Wednesday. You will see locals gathering for sport matches...or just to share a pint. Nothing out of the ordinary but a nice atmosphere.....locals are nice and welcoming....as the Welsh are...in generally

Generally I have nothing but good feedback for this venue as the meat and vegetables are potatoes on offer are always cooked well, however on our last visit we had to point out that the potatoes were gone off, thus resulting in us having to wait for our meals to be redone, the chef did take off the potatoes right away.

Unfortunately the owner and some other members of staff are very arrogant and disrespectful to customers. I’ve seen this firsthand and have heard this from many other people who’ve been to the pub. I won’t be going back for a meal here.

Nice village pub friendly and helpful staff, does food. Is a Marston's so usual Marston's fare, difference is the landlady and landlord are brilliant nice and welcoming, dog friendly too.

Called in today couldn’t fault the bar staff however when the manager came down to work she was anything but nice ... she was rude and hostile would like to think it was a one off and she was just having a bad day but we visited about am two months ago and she was no better then either ... shame really as it’s a nice place
