Excellent and affordable food, drink and service for 30 strong family gathering. We had a memorial service over the road, then had delicious sandwiches, chilli and cake from Ishma and the team at the Plough. Really fresh tasty food, excellent service and lovely location in the function room. Very good choice of beer and wine. Ran like clockwork. Couldn't be happier.

Very nice local pub in a quieter part of London. There are actually a few listed building pubs in this area. Very cozy inside with a nice beer garden out back. Had a fairly extensive menu for food. We just had some chili fries which were good, we were told they mainly did table service for ordering when I had gone up to the bar. Staff were nice. Building is worth a visit if you want to get a sense of an older country side pub but remain within a more suburban area. Beer menu was not large … I ended up with London Pride since it's a Fullers pub. If I was again in the local area I may stop again. I think it would be rather cozy in winter on a cold day!

A genuine heritage quintessential English Pub ! The establishment is really old as one can see from the build, the rafters, the fireplaces, the oh so comfy sofas around the fireplaces, the bar and the spectacular outdoor seating areas with the tent like awning covering the outdoor area ! And the food is really good; I just love their chunky chips, crisp on the outside and fluffy from the inside and I think truly the best I have had anywhere in London !!! The staff is friendly and helpful which makes the place a very nice place to meet up with friends and business associates ! But unfortunately I hear that the pub might be closing down as the lease is coming to an end ? It would really be a tragedy to lose such wonderful venue if it were to close down; It would really be a loss to the community ! I hope someone who can do something about it reads this post !

Extremely disapointing. Seems to have changed from a traditional English pub which serves food to a restaurant that serves pints as when I visited again tonight (11 May 2024) I was told I could not order a pint at bar and would have to take a seat and wait for table service. I only wanted a pint of beer, not a meal. I will not go out of my way to visit here again and will instead give my support to help keep proper pubs open.

Excellent local pub. We had our annual Friends Christmas dinner there on Saturday Dec 2nd. There were over 30 of us. Our meal was great, my husband and I both had the salmon as main and it was very tasty. Bartek the chef did a great job. Bearing in mind they were serving over 30 of us (most having 3 courses), there was no extended wait between courses. Waiting staff - Katie and Arati, were tentative and prompt, really lovely staff. Quite a nice old worldy pub nicely located after a walk around Osterley House and Gardens. It has a cottage type feel to it and a big garden with chickens in a coup (you can’t complain that the eggs aren’t fresh here). It looks to be a Fuller’s pub or possibly not long ex-Fullers given they’re reducing their pub portfolio. There is a good mix of people here and the food menu was tempting and well priced. Krombacher and Cruzcampo were among the lager options, which were well received. The chicken Kiev special was very large in size as I succumbed to temptation. Only downside were the staff not being very complimentary about some customers in the pub who were being difficult. It just felt a bit awkward at times. We had no issue with them, but they need to be a bit more professional. Would definitely return. The staff need to just be a bit more careful with their language.

Random visit during summer. Such a wonderful find! Normally not a fan of Fuller's pubs food, but the summer BBQ menu was a nice change. Steak and gyros were grilled to perfection and sides were tasty. Lovely atmosphere, and dog/child friendly. Only complaint: the (very young) staff member who came to take drinks order had limited knowledge of beer and didn't understand difference between cask and keg. Apparently they started serving a very reduced menu on Mondays, starting *today*. They were kind enough to arrange a couple of vegan burgers for us anyway, though. The young woman taking the order was quite indifferent, but the young man who came out to see if we needed anything else was very pleasant. The food itself... well... if you take a fluffy white bun, douse it in picante sauce, and put it on a fried veggie burger, the moisture has nowhere to go but into the bun. After a bit, it was kind of like a soggy dish sponge. The salsa itself tasted like canned stewed tomatoes. The salad and chips were fine. I appreciate the effort, but maybe leave off the salsa and offer it, or more traditional condiments, on the side? Maybe I'm expecting too much, but for £17 each for a burger, chips, and Pepsi, it seems like it could be better.

It is a gorgeous historic pub both inside and out, has great landlords and friendly staff, fabulous food, eclectic music and a great pub garden. All of the above you may find in many pubs but what makes The Plough stand out is that it is a place that all the diverse local community enjoy going to, whether it is to have a meal with friends or just to have a chat with neighbours. We came here for Sunday lunch yesterday after a long walk and what a treat it was (not been much post Covid and I’d forgotten what a real gem it is). The Plough is a beautiful pub with the most attention to detail I’ve come across in a long time, so enjoyed seeing all the new changes made especially in the garden. Warm welcome, attentive and cheerful staff, the owners Derek and Ushma set an amazing tone and the rest of the team follows. Gorgeous roaring fires inside and a stunning garden that’s set up for all weathers, lovely chilled music too and everything spotlessly clean. Our roast lamb dinner was scrumptious and piping hot, there was an offering of all types of drinks which you don’t see often (and keeps me personally away from pubs). Good regular pint of Perroni for hubby, great selection of gins and fever tree, lovely wines by the glass with meal and whilst I didn’t partake on this occasion the cocktails looked amazing that were being served to other tables, look forward to trying next time. There was a fabulous atmosphere both out in the garden and inside the pub, whilst it was busy everything ran seamlessly and there was no wait for anything. It was great to enjoy table service too, these guys are pros and very flexible with a can do attitude (we decided to enjoy the unexpected sun a little longer in the garden and ran into some friends so were later to eat than planned) no problem to them whatsoever, when we were ready to eat we went inside to our lunch waiting on the table with drinks ready for us) I haven’t enjoyed a Sunday lunchtime so much in a long time, it was just so pleasant nor do I write many reviews but want them to know what an awesome job they are doing. Please don’t change a thing, this place is at the top of its game and your hard work and commitment is evident allowing your customers to have a wonderful experience. Genuinely can’t wait to visit again soon. Many thanks to Derek, Ushma and all at the Plough, see you soon😃

I know it has many managers in since, but still looking good with the outside kitchen, all weather umbrella's and the chicken's. So glad I paid a visit today. Food was good as well.

I was served at the bar by 2 lovely ladies who were so welcoming and made our dinner very enjoyable. The service was excellent and so was the food. This was Thursday 24th October in the evening.

New starter at Harvester Royal provided exceptional service (think her name may of been Akhila), especially at such a young age. Think it was her second day, and with a large group, she dealt with things so well, and was very attentive. Unfortunately the portion sizes of the food let us down, and having attended this site alot over the years, we noticed a sizable difference.

Friendly staff. Food took awhile to arrive and when it did it was cold. Salad bar had hair inside pasta container. Toilets very smelly and dirty.

Surely everybody loves The Courtauld?! With one of the best Impressionist collections in the world, all in one room, it is always a joy to visit. This recent visit was to see the Monet paintings of London. Wow, what a collection! Absolutely tremendous.
