Amazing place .Great to just sit back and read a book while the world goes by .

Went with friends and spent the whole evening enjoying being there. We had dogs with us and they were made to feel special by the staff.

Haven't been up there for years but still a decent pub and a crisp pint definitely going back.

Gutted didn't see Janet or Robin but was great to see Vicky

I'd give it no stars if I could. Went in for the first and last time last week, we were stared at/down by a meathead, middle-aged gammon bloke sat near the bar as we walked in. He was definitely trying to intimidate us, we clearly weren't welcome. Got a beer and sat down near a TV that was showing Minder with the volume up (choice of seating was by one TV or the other). Aforementioned gammon proceeded to immediately put loads of music on the Jukebox, which vied for attention with Minder and sounded atrocious, clearly intended to drive us out. Beer tasted ok, though the choice was bad. Bright lights and a dreadful atmosphere all round - I've never felt so unwelcome in a pub in my life. Maybe they're not used to seeing women. Very much a local pub for local people - avoid at all costs!

I was refused entry because I don't go in as often as THEY would like. Considering I am an army veteran that was self isolating for the last 18months, It's no wonder I have not been in recently. The mural on the side is therefore an INSULT to all servicemen and women and the proprietor should be ashamed of themselves.

Like any pub, this one has seen its share of trouble. First visit in a few years & I am impressed. They serve some PROPER cider in bottles & have a nice garden.

The Plough is a local pub with a nice atmosphere when we went. Quite a traditional pub with no airs and graces. We went as we saw an ad outside the pub saying open mic night every Sunday night. Although it said from 8pm it was nearer 9pm when the music started playing. We asked if they did food but they don't, but we were told we could bring something in, which we did

A local pub, good beer. Don't expect bells & whistles . It's a pub not a gastro bar.

Its okay but Sadie the landlady groped me in the toilet and undressed me with her eyes. It was all very untoward. I will be returning though

Good locals spit and sawdust kind of pub , disco and artists on at weekends .and quite busy .Beer prices are average . Friendly staff. Horse racing on tv and bookies next door !

The Plough that is up by Tilehurst Triangle. No17 bus stop outside door heading to Bear inn where it turns around and heads back into Reading Town. Great pub the plough in old fashion style. Nice beer garden at the Rear of pub. Good place to watch sports on TVs. Good staff on the ball here. Good place if having a party.

Nice pub with a big back garden which is great in the summer. There's a good selection of beers and they do entertainment only downside is that it's cash only and the beers are pricier than other local pubs
