I had an overnight stay; I was doing a charity walk nearby. Liz, the landlady was so helpful and welcoming. Wish I’d been able to stay longer.

Querky little pub run by Liz who seems to do everything! We stayed for one night while walking the Cotswolds Way. Liz looked after us 5 girls very well and the breakfast was one of the best we've had. Beautiful garden too.

Decided to try this establishment as staying elsewhere in Winchcombe. The reason, real ale. Apparently, a choice of 3, so what to pick. Was told had only 1. Decision made, 1 drink and time to leave.

Myself and my Wife stumbled across the Plaisterers Arms while doing a rekki for things to do while staying locally. We decided to have a couple of drinks before heading back to our BnB. We was welcomed by the Land Lady Liz, who is so much fun and full of conversation. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have returned to enjoy a beautiful dinner, the chef here is amazing!... inside is absolutely stunning with a warm feel and great decor, as a previous review said, "it is like stepping in to a different time" I couldn't agree more. Thank you Liz and staff, we will be seeing you all again.

Experience an authentic travellers inn……. Great food, nice people and an amazing location. If you need a place to stay - drive past the premier inn and come here instead! The rooms are of decent size and while they are equipped to a basic standard, they were more than adequate and en suite. Perfect for a short stay. Besides ……What you lose in modern Luxury it more than makes up for in character and honest charm. What a place to wake up! Amazing town with a proper ye olde feel. The breakfast was delicious and the land lady is up to suit your taste and timetable. Very accommodating. I will definitely be returning. I cannot recommend enough. I suggest you avoid We were travelling to the area on holiday and Pre booked an evening meal Upon arrival we were told the chef had left a week ago and they didn’t have my booking in the diary I specifically remember when ringing to book that it was written in the diary I also left my mobile number but they failed to contact me It ruined our short break in the Cotswolds ! The landlady was full of excuses but not very forward with an apology The place was empty upon our arrival and I am not surprised Avoid if at all possible !

Good news: there seems to often be available seating here when other places are booked. Bad news: there’s a reason for that. It’s priced as if a gourmet pub, but it’s just fine—which makes it expensive for what it is.

Visited this pub on Saturday 30th April after enjoying a wonderful day at the Castle and show in the grounds. A very ignorant and rude Irish lady working behind the bar, never said a hello or offered any greeting, just "want do you want". I wanted to walk out there and then but my partner had gone to see if there was a garden to sit in do I gave our order. She never smiled and never said a word. My partner returned and we went to one of the MANY empty tables, the place was empty apart from a couple who were obviously local as they made some conversation. Just as we put our drinks on the table the miserable Irish lady shouted "that's reserved". I asked what time for please and she said 6.30 pm. It was then 17.10 !!!!!! Not for over 1 hour and 15 minutes. If I hadn't have already paid for our drinks we would have walked out. We promptly drank up and I left some as I wanted to get out of there. Such a shame as it was a lovely building with lots of nice features We left and walked up the road to another pub and the welcome and friendly people couldn't have been more different. Will never enter the Plaisteters Arms as long as the Irish lady is there. .

Just come back from a 4 night stay in Winchcombe and my visits to this pub will remain a great memory from this staycation. When you think of an authentic country pub, this is it. It's cozy and just the right amount of spooky. The landlady, Liz, is lovely and we really enjoyed getting to know her. Although they are not serving food at the moment, I highly recommend that if you are going to Winchcombe then please give this place a visit, you may even turn up on a night where Johnny is playing some tunes on the piano. What fun we had at this pub, thank for the great holiday memories.

This was the second time I had been to the Plaisterers Arms, the first visit being in August, so when I came back to Winchcombe for another staycation this pub was a must do!! Liz is the best, she runs a very tight ship and is great with all the customers. The food is fantastic, and you know you’re going to get a great meal as there isn’t tons of choice on the menu. It’s the little touches that make the difference such as garlic and parsley butter on the veg. The pub has a great interior and they serve great ales. Keep up the good work Liz - I hope to be back!!!

The atmosphere was relaxed, unpretentious and timeless. The landlady was an original - helpful, slightly eccentric, delightful. The chef wasThai and a lot of the dishes were obviously inspried by his country's cuisine - delicious. Our sort of pub/restaurant!

Despite having renovations being carried out we were made more than welcome. Decent selection of beers so we were more than happy. Building has old Old World charms.

We liked this pub very much. The lady was very helpful and good food and beers. We suggest to sit in the area at the back by the fireplace.

The bar area is very noisy with a loud jukebox but some rooms are separate from the bar so noise is not a problem. The TV did not work. The breakfast was average with no cereal or jam being offered.

Beautiful pub restaurant right in the centre of a beautiful town. I had drinks and dinner with friends in this lovely traditional pub which offered several hand pulled draught beers. The menu was comprehensive without being excessive, with good quality local produce plus a selection of eastern offerings. It is not a cheap eatery, neither is it excessively priced, as the quality, quantity and presentation well justifies the prices. The ambience of the pub was excellent with a mixture of locals and visitors present, all looked after by a charming lady from County Limerick. An ideal pub, restaurant and historical building all in one.

Not surprised this place shut down, it's been going down hill for months, waiting ages for food, short staff, can't order after 7, poor management , rubbish, shame as kids used to like it.
