Nice country pub, good selection of beers, ales, ciders and lagers. Quite pricey though. Too expensive to use as a local.

Right before my birthday we had the pleasure to finally eat at The Kings Head. It has been highly recommended by my colleague Glen, a devoted and local customer. I can't thank him enough for the good time spent there, making us feeling welcomed and we got to sit at the 'locals' table as well. It's been an honour to also meet the chef! She cooked for us incredibly delicious burgers. Everything tasted heavenly, like you can tell the ingredients are locally sourced from farms. All I can say The Kings Head Mighty Cheeseburger is to die for!! Best burger I've ever had in my life probably, without exaggerating. (You could actually see the cheese melted, dripping as we got served) I can't wait to return for another meal soon.

To be clear, we visited for a funeral, so comments on food and atmosphere need to be put to one side for obvious reasons. The staff were lovely and very courteous given the circumstances. However they rent out part of the carpark to a car wash company therefore the parking proved to be a nightmare. There are not enough spaces and a very rude person complaining about us trying to park. We were not local, didn't know the area, and were obviously very upset after the service. If you're visiting here for a function, get there early in to avoid a repeat of our experience.

We were a bit late getting here, and there was ten minutes to go on the lunch service. However they couldn't be more helpful. I had a lovely cheese burger while my partner had sausage and mash. Proper home cooked food is fantastic and this was no exception. Coming from Birmingham with all the chain pubs, it's nice to actually taste something. The burger was loaded with bacon and onion rings. And the sausages were some of the nicest we've had. Good beer and cider options on top. Recommended.

Lovely pub, very much a locals pub but made to feel welcome. Walked there after cheltenham festival and not at all disappointed! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a live singer in the hall.

Used to let us stay in the carpark in our campervans for the 4nights of Cheltenham so very accommodating of them!! breakfast is fabulous and pub always buzzing festival week with live music etc

This pub deserves top reviews.. excellent staff friendly and welcoming .. good selection of quality ales at competitive prices … as others have mentioned dog friendly and nice covered heated area for smoking/ vape users ..,you won’t find better locally

The Kings Head in Bishop's Cleeve is an old, thatched building, frequented by locals - which is always a good sign wherever you are visiting in the World. There is a large car park where you can get your car washed whilst stopping off at the pub. Well kept beer and good pub grub sold at what are 'Great Value for Money' prices. Dog friendly into the bargain with dog treats given without being asked for!

Been to this pub so many times. All staff are very friendly and helpful which overall makes a nice warming atmosphere. The food which they serve never disappoints. Making me proud to say this is my local.

I have been frequenting this establishment for 35 years and have never had a complaint. I mostly drink here but have eaten as well and always found the food plentiful, excellent quality and reasonably priced. The staff, especially Becky, Sharron, Martin and the proprieter Rachel, are all efficient and pleasant. This was my first ‘Local’ when I moved here and still frequent it now. It is a lovely thatched country pub with plenty of choice of drinks including real ales. There is a large garden, large function room and marque.

I go here nearly every week to meet with friends, it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly. The food is great value and the chips are better than the chippy over the road! Good portion size too. I would highly recommend.

Such a welcoming family friendly pub, I’ve been going for years and can honestly say that the service is brilliant, the pub is owner by a lovely lady Rachel and you wouldn’t be disappointed going here. Look forward to going back next week!

In a world of Greene Kings and Wetherspoons, the Kings Head is a proper, authentic pub which blows them all out the water. The staff here are fantastic, the locals are friendly and it's always a pleasure to spend an evening at the Kings Head. Beer is great, open fires in the winter, live music on the weekends... what more could you want! My favourite pub!

The Kings Head is a fantastic pub! What really sets this pub apart from others is the staff, nothing is too much trouble. The food is tasty and they always have a good selection of drinks. We'll worth a visit, especially if you manage to catch one of the evenings when they have a live band on.

Homely,welcoming pub. Moved away 9 years ago but always love returning and feeling welcome. Always go above and beyond for functions, my mums wake included. Rachel and her team made the day as easy as possible and I could not fault them. Top beers and snacks available.

Myself and my husband frequent the kings head and not only do they make us but also our children feel very welcome and part of the family. We have used the function room for a party and the staff not only put on a great spread, they took the stress out of it all. I can not wait for the summer time to sit in the beer garden with friends and family soaking up the sun.

The Kings Head is just the Best. Rachel, Sharon, Becky, Ned, Josh and all the staff could not make us feel more welcome. It is a family friendly place where you feel more like family than a customer. So pleased that I can call the Kings Head my local.

What can I say about this place??? Food is fresh, clean and absolutely delicious! Live music nights are amazing! Quiz nights are a barrel of laughs. Parties have been completely catered for. Staff go above and beyond… nothing is too much trouble. We have also had a couple of small business networking meetings here. Everyone felt welcome and full of amazing ideas. This is most definitely one of my happy places ❤️ Thank you

I have been going to the King's head in bishops cleve for over twenty years in match and November for the races. I have to say the pub is fantastic and the staff are amazing. They have always looked after me .and willing to give you time out of the busy schedules. The breakfast is lovely and i love that you get plum tinned tomatoes 🍅 on your breakfast. . So not long now till march carnt wait to be in there again. See you all soon 😘 💓 ☺️ 😊 ❤️

Enjoyed a really good evening at the Kings head. The bar staff were extremely helpful, especially the camp one called Ned. I couldn't recommend the pub highly enough.

My disabled sister and 70 year old dad was just attacked by a female staff member because iv had to cancel my party 8 days before because a relative is dying. They won’t give me the money back either iv lost £150

Nice place to have a drink. It's clean and tidy as well as busy staff. It's no the best for food. They also do a burger night if you are interested. So overall it's a good place to have a drink with your friends and watch SKY sports.

I've never eaten here so can't rate that, but otherwise, the staff are friendly and the real ale is also good.

Went in for a treat of a breakfast. 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees cost over £26! What a waste of money! We’re not table checked (despite only 1 other customer there so clearly staff had time). Plate was chipped. Coffee un-drinkable Mushrooms were clearly tinned. Fried bread was cremated. Sausage was lovely however £13 for one sausage is a joke!’

We had our wedding day here Saturday one word AMAZING from the preparation leading up to the wedding they listened to every detail that we wanted and delivered in abundance the room took my breath away upon entering the food was especially on point Rachel, Sharon and Becky and all the staff made our day the perfect day i will never forget it I cannot thank them enough

Nice old British style pub, good selection of beer, cider and snacks. Busy when I was there, on a random Tuesday night, and fairly small inside, so couldn't get a seat, not really anywhere to stand that wasn't in the way. There's a good amount of outdoor picnic tables overlooking the carpark.

Well I came to the kings head with my friend for a drink and catch up. 3 pints later we were singing along to the songs and having a great time speaking to the locals. They are a really accommodating pub with great staff. It has also kept a very historic feel with the thatched roof and tutor type beams in the main area would totally recommend. I will be back soon

We found this pub on trip advisor when visiting Cheltenham Racecourse and popped in for a quick lunch. We ordered a jacket potato for our daughter, chicken curry and halloumi, pesto and tomato sandwich with a side of curly fries. Wow! The food was quick to arrive, amazingly presented and hot and fresh. What a great little find! Only 5 minutes from the racecourse if you are visiting!

Came here for a wake. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. They have a decent selection of beverages for a small pub. I've never had a bad experience here - can't wait for summer to sit in the pub garden again!

We have eaten here many times, but the latest visit will sadly be our last. Too many locals blocking the bar and the staff can be a bit temperamental. Lager and wine were fine, but the food has really gone downhill. I always have the double cheeseburger as it is homemade and very tasty. NOT ANYMORE!!! Poorly presented, no pickle, cheap, thin brioche bun, and worse of all..... a single thin tasteless burger. Similar to that bought in a TIN!!! Garlic bread was cold and just garlic butter on a brioche bun. My partners meal was o.k. but over cooked eggs and tastless ham. Cheap packet condiments. Why can't we have branded ones?
