The best fish and chips for miles around,staff very friendly and pleasant. If I could eat fish and chips every day I would but only from a plaice to eat!!!!!

What can I say, I love my food and this place never fails. Even when it's busy and you'd expect standards to slip a little, they don't. Cod and chips all day long. Crispy batter and chunky cod, really tasty and lovely chips were bang on the money for me. Well done, as always, highly recommended. 👍

Large fish and chips, good thick fish with nice brown chips. Loverly and only £8, well recommended. Going to try the parmo next.

Got a Large Parmo with chips, salad which was separate, tub of garlic and two cans of coke which came to £12.00 Phoned the order in and it took around 30 minutes. The staff were friendly and the place looks clean and well organised. Food was lovely. Nice thick chicken which was cooked perfectly. Chips, salad and garlic sauce were all good. I will definitely return.

Had my tea from here not long ago (corned beef pattie, chips & a pineapple ring) and got to say it's my new favourite chippy, everything was really tasty and all for a great price (less than a fiver).

Best Chippy in the area. Girls behind counter always friendly, The owner keeps a very close eye to make sure the food is right, this feeds back and enhances his reputation, which is a good one. Deliveries are always quick, so quick I think he must run into himself on his way back some days.

Very clean restaurant, comfortable seating with booths and chairs with tables, the food comes from the chippy adjoining via a door behind the counter. Very friendly and pleasant staff, food is good quality and as expected from an English chippy.

Called in for brekkie and glad we did, we had the veggie breakfast and a bacon, sausage and egg muffin they were beezer.

Very clean shop, no gross frying smells and best of all good food.

Now there are other chippys/ cafes to eat in but this place is one of the nicest I've been in, staff are friendly food always fresh n hot. Like that you can sit outside in the warmer weather ( only a few tables ) we visit here often they also do home made pies, burgers as well as usual chip shop food. Cafe joined on does all the food the chip shop sells but much more including breakfasts n sandwiches. Never had a complaint yet from our family.

This used to be superb, serving first class fish and chips, but on my last two visits the standard seems to have dropped, now serving greasy chips and poorly cooked fish, I now go elsewhere

Maybe it was the time of day we went but the chips were so old they had crinkles in them and made me sick later that day. Will never go back there again.

Very clean, excellent and quick service, food fresh and tasty, rather large portions too!!! A really good cup of tea, would recommend without a doubt.

Have been a regular here for ages, but very dissapointed today, in the take away, Heywood Fish Bar, the portion sizes of chips has gone really small, i was served by a young girl with blonde hair, she hardly gave us any chips at all, i asked if that was a regular portion of chips ? and she sarcastically said Yes, it was half the usual portion size, the other assistant was getting a small fish and chips for someone else and the chips were the same size as mine ! i bought fish and chips 3 times, and it was £15 wont be going back, VERY dissapointed they are not worth the money, smallest portion of chips ive ever had.

I live in heywood and always come here it's a fantastic little chip shop the best in Heywood by far. Fresh fish and chips and great down to earth staff

We had been to Heywood station to see the Flying Scotsman and were looking for somewhere wheelchair accessible to get some lunch.Driving round Heywood we came across this fish and chip shop and cafe. Easy for my wife to get in in her electric wheelchair. Has a customer toilet with full facilities for disabled and for baby changing (they even supply nappy sacks). It was spotlessly clean, as was the whole cafe.Usual chip shop meals available plus breakfasts, jacket potatoes, lite bites etc.Wife and I had the home made cheese and onion pie, fabulous and our friend had the cod which he really enjoyed. The chips were really good, best I've had for a long time.We had coffees which were proper coffees, not instant. Staff were lovely and friendly.Overall we were impressed and will be going back again next time I can find an excuse to go train spotting.
