Lovely little cafe with good food.

Right on the coast. Good service. Good food.

Very busy little cafe, fast service. Milkshakes were too sweet for us but not a fault of their. Cleaning tables could be quicker and I am sure they are more efficient when not so busy. Worth a visit.

Delicious fresh cooked food. Very well priced. Customer service is 5*. A busy yet well organised place .

Where else can you have a coffee with seagulls swirling and gyrating overhead whilst you quietly contemplate Ice cream or cake. Or cake with ice cream. Mmmm....

Ideal stop off after walking the beach. Outside for dogs and a dog bowl of water too. Food is good and varied, service is good too.

Popular place for visitors walking the marine path. Popular with dog walkers. Lot if our door sitting available. Free parking on the main road outside can be very busy at times.

Very good value, and a good range of meals on the menu including some vegan options. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

The Stray cafe is a lovely place. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and stroke all the dogs.

Plenty of choices on the menu.. Toilet out of order got the 2 star award ...

Went in for brunch I had a full breakfast 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, beans mushrooms, hashbrown a slice of fried bread and 2 toast all very nice my wife had sausage, egg chips and 2 toast all washed down with coffee. It started to get very busy not long after we sat down and people were having to wait aprx 30 mins for food but its worth the wait very friendly staff and good value for money.

items were missing from the hangover breakfast and a drink missing. scones ordered were on the dry side. not a great experience when buying for 4 people, so spent a considerable amount.

bacon full of fat taste like its been cooked in microwave fry bread soggy no butter for toast what you get for value is disgusting your price has gone up and still looks basic breakfast and ment to be a hangover breakfast poor service

Food come and tbh was very disappointing used to love this place but everything was like rubber due to being wrapped in tones of tin foil and the make your own wrap was something you would get in the cells 😂

Don't recommend the Homemade cornbeef pie, chips and definitely not the gravy. Chips are tastless gathering frozen chips, the gravy was watery and the granuals weren't even dissolved. The homemade pie was like rubber and very bland, think they'd dinged it for 10secs as it was a little warm on the outside but cold on the inside. (Pie was probably a day or two old from the texture.) Lovely little place though over looking the sea and nice and bright inside. Ok for a cuppa and maybe a sarnie or even an ice cream 🍦

Popped in just for cuppa and coffee, was OK apart from lids didn't seem to fit properly so ended up wearing some tea

Beautiful welcoming little place. We went to play in the outdoor pool that was empty and this little cafe made us all feel better. Staff are amazing and the place is lovely and clean. Beautifully run and so good to see happy staff

Never been to redcar before and feel I found a gem. The service was friendly and comfortable. We had the breakfasts and have to say it was cooked as requested, and very filling. We will be recommending and will return

Looks great but that’s were it ends, lady took my simple order of bacon and sausage bap and the plate was thrown at me by another staff member when I asked where is my bacon she said that what she was told to bring out!! No butter dry bap. Would not go back and have told my f & f and they said they had with had a bad experience or someone they knew had had also had a bad experience.

Come here every morning after walking the dog, lovely latte and bacon sandwich. Lovely staff.

Regular drop in for tea and teacakes after dog walking on the beach

I came with my partner today, we ordered a sausage bun, bacon bun, corned beef pie and a piece of quiche, totalling around £16. The sausage was barely warm and very undercooked, in fact I nearly vomitted eating the two bites I had. My partner was served his pie and quiche on a plate and they had been microwaved for at least 5 minutes, they were soggy, had fallen apart and were 3000 degrees! He wasn’t asked his preference on them being served warm or cold so expected them to come as they were. We also wanted to take our food out so he asked for them to be in a container suitable to take out. The burning slop was placed into a polystyrene container and given back to him. He explained he wanted them served as they were and not microwaved for 10 minutes and the rude woman behind the counter told him he was a pain in the arse!!!! Absolutely disgusting customer service, what a rude, arrogant, ill mannered, horrible person with no people skills she is! She clearly doesn’t know how to work in a cafe and how to engage with customers. It’s a shame, we used to love it there when nice people who could cook worked there. We will not be returning! The least they should have done was offer a refund for the inconvenience of the whole visit but instead she narcissistically turned the blame onto my partner, called him an unacceptable name, couldn’t take any responsibility for the awful service and we got not one apology! Absolutely terribe!

Great Sunday Morning Coffee and Bacon Sandwich on sea front of Redcar

Overcrowded to much clutter very disorganised it comes across as ram as many people as you can into the place.

Busy little cafe in a scenic spot the Cookies are delicious and the staff are friendly definitely recommend a visit if you're passing.

Lovely place to have a sit and a snack. Really nice staff. Good prices as well. Stop by and give it a go. Just an update been today, the coffee was excellent.

Plastered across the windows are “VEGAN” and “Vegan Breakfast” so we went for a long early morning dog walk for breakfast. There’s nothing vegan here. Not seeing a vegan breakfast on the menu board but seeing it on the window I asked for 2 vegan breakfasts. They said they don’t do a vegan breakfast. I said you do and pointed to it in the window. They believe the vegetarian breakfast can be made vegan by removing the eggs! Removing times isn’t vegan. Adding vegan options is. To add insult to injury, any additional option replacing the eggs would cost more! Confirmed by handwritten signs saying so. But there wasn’t anything vegan to add anyway. But it’s still not vegan because everything is cooked on a griddle and in a deep fat frier which is used for meat and dairy products. Ordered toast and a tea cake. Even the toast or tea cake isn’t vegan because they only have real butter and no vegan spread. So unless see you want beans on dry toast there’s nothing for a vegan to eat. Tea with oat milk? Asked for a pot of tea for 2. They only do a pot of tea for 1 so I ordered 2 pots of teas with oat milk. Everyone else was getting a pot, a cup and tiny milk jug So I thought we’d get the same - Nope! Ours arrived and to our disbelief we had a pot of tea which was only just above half filled, a pot of water only just over half filled and a tiny pot of oat milk to share. Did I mention it costs more for oat milk! I had to take it back to explain I bought 2 pots of tea and wanted them filled. They obliged with more water and a 2nd tea bag. We would have asked for another tiny jug of oat milk but the tea was terrible and we couldn’t finish it. Wish I’d know that before asking for another bag and water! Not sure what tea they use but it wasn’t good and by the look of other people, they weren’t keen either. Would I return? Never. Not even for a cuppa. Would I recommend? No. They are falsely advertising vegan food without the products or ability to cook it without meat or dairy contamination.

Great little cafe on the seafront, serving a wide range of food including breakfast, sandwiches and meals, as well as cakes too, reasonably priced also. It has great views of the seafront too, worth the short drive or walk out of redcar town for the free parking also!

Walked the dog on the beach then stopped here for a cuppa, what a find my husband will definitely want the breakfast next time

Came here especially because it was recommended and was open until 5pm. It advertises an ALL DAY BREAKFAST in big letters on the sign outside and in the menus but when we went to order at 3pm , they had stopped serving. The menus said the prices had changed (by about £2). The menus need updating and wiping down: they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. And when we tried to phone earlier in the day, they didn't bother answering the phone. Not a great experience, in fact a pretty poor one. And we won't bother again.

Got camera footage of food delivery driver stealing a package from our front door popped it back in a little blue pinto with a missing wheel trim on left rear tyre. Then had the audacity to face my partner with the food delivery ! Absolutely shocking ! Return by morning no further action will be taken !

Place has had a face-lift a little while ago and a change of some staff but still remains a good place to go.

Food was alright but forgot to deliver my drink

Popped in for a hot chocolate. Was quite full so we sat outside. Not the happiest of ladies who served me, didn't even get a smile. The guy who made my drink didn't say one word to me. Shame really as its nice to smile 😃

Friendly staff, quick service even with a lead wait for food. Coffee and tea were fantastic. Prices are exceptional. English breakfast was perfection. Will definitely be eating here again in the future.

Great bacon buns on a cold morning when walking the dogs. Can get really busy but staff seem to handle this quite well.

Tiny portion for adults meal and child’s did t even include chips, just 6 nuggets in a box. Sale was not fresh either.

Lovely little cafe with amazing scenery good food pf generous portions in very good price, clean and friendly, also toilets available really recommended.

Given a 2 as felt standards dropping. 5 staff mostly talking to each other. Felt ignored. The place was a bit grubby.

We had a lovely lunch, we had the quiche which was really nice and the jumbo breakfast. Piping hot and very tasty, great quick service. Would definitely recommend after a dog walk on the beach and even doggy ice cream

Loved it.. cups could be a slightly bigger.. service.. good.. food very good.. slices of pies brill.. overall a nice place.. always busy.. which says a lot about the place.😀

A great place to meet when they are open and a local landmark to use as a running training aid. Friends and me tend to visit on Sunday mornings before 11AM and food 'Service' - in particular - struggles as the place is full by then in summer. Seats inside and also dog friendly outside under the extended roof along two sides are an option on a sunny day.

Food was poor quality jacket was that cold it wouldn’t cut the skin beans were stone cold no chips came with the kids meal absolutely disgusting would not recommend to anyone takes like cheap microwave food definitely not worth £20

Ordered a couple of bacon butties to take out, not the cheapest but plenty of bacon on there, easy to park on the roadside, shame about all the caravans parked up behind it.

Was going to pop in, saw the dozens of travellers caravans and didn’t stop 😐

A lovely place, and nice food. But by God, don't call in if you're in a rush! They're always pulled off their feet! I'm happy waiting, some won't. It's worth the wait thought 😊

Very busy little cafe close to the path by the sea. Staff very friendly and swiftly served. Enjoyed the corned beef pie but the salad had a lot to be desired , a bit of lettuce a thin slice of tomato and a tiny bit of onion do not a salad make. Just a little more effort !!! The breakfast was also nice but the sausage had never seen a pig or a cow in it's life. Don't let that put you off though . A very pleasant stop off for a cuppa and snack.

Hardly any filling in panini for the price

Loads of choice and very good service. Set pretty much on the beach, this is a great place for a stop off. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake, you name it they do it. You can sit inside or out although dogs aren't allowed inside. Plenty of roadside parking.
