Travelled to have a pizza, then couldn't get one, complete waste of time

We’ve had pizza from here a few times now and it is delicious and good, restaurant quality. On our last order we had the Blushing Goat, Hawaiian and the Pesto Tomato bread. Ham on pizza can be really hit and miss but the ham on the Hawaiian is good quality and nice. The pesto bread is honestly really, really good!! Also the rang of dips is really good!

Amazing pizzas, better than any I have ever eaten!

We order at 5.15 on a Saturday. Pizza arrived at 5.45. Absolutely epic. Fabulous fresh dough, lots of quality toppings, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted. This was our first delivery but won’t be our last. Last month we tried the new place in Cattawade (Family Pizza) and it was a total disaster from price, delivery time and food quality. Please don’t confuse the two. The Pizza Place is in Manningtree. Fabulous restaurant quality pizza which they obviously take pride in making so well. Easily on a par with Lucca. Thanks guys!

Really lovely pizzas a choice of Vegan pizzas , fast and friendly service, deliverd or nip in from the Red Lion next door and have it in the pub with a beer . Possibly the best pizza in the area, staff are great fun to chat with

Most delicious pizzas. No pictures to share as we couldn’t wait to dig in, sorry not sorry. We tried the pepperoni, tomato and pesto pizza, Greek salad and Pizza triangles - the tomato sauce is the best I’ve had. Perfect for dipping those crusts. If you’re local to The Pizza Place or visiting the area it’s a must try. I must mention it’s also a pub next door so doesn’t really get better.

First visit. A hidden gem with fantastic pizza, made with speed and great ingredients. Helpful staff. We shall return.

Ideal spot for an evening drink and tasty, exciting varieties of pizza, very amicable ordering staff, however only online ordering- charge your phone.

Hands down and 100% the best pizza I've ever tasted. Great pepperoni pizza, really friendly staff and Peter the Chef could not have been more accommodating! Can't wait to eat here again!

Best vegan pizza I’ve had, delivery driver was lovely and phoned us when we was 5 minutes away.

Really disappointing. I requested 'without caramelised onion' but they still put red onion on the pizza. The delivery man had gone before I realised. I called and they offered me a replacement but I didn't have time to wait for another half an hour. I requested a refund but haven't received it yet. The cheesy pizza bread was only half covered in cheese too. The deliveries have really improved lately so it's annoying that they have started to get the toppings wrong again. We stopped ordering for a while as this used to happen so often.

We arrived here on a Friday evening with no booking and the next slot for pizza wasn't for 90 mins, but the lady was really helpful, she said she would try and fit us in quicker if possible while we had a drink in the pub. She did as she promised and the pizza was delivered to us at our seat in the pub, much quicker than planned, and I have to say that it was DELICIOUS. Great little pub, friendly service, wonderful pizza. Thank you!

Lovely staff and even better pizza! It's actually rather inconvenient as all other pizzas don't even come close in comparison. Great delivery driver aswell. Would always recommend.

Amazing pizzas and an amazing pub turning into a weekly wonder into Manningtree have a few drinks and quite a few delicious pizzas. Only place I will have pizza from in Manningtree.

My first time buying from here - for a family meal. Good pizzas, ready exactly on time (I collected them). Perhaps the bases could have been a bit crisper, but each to their own on that. The chocolate brownies were very tasty if rather expensive for the size of helping. Worth another visit to compare/contrast with Luca.

Friendly staff and they welcomed my dog too with treats. Comfortable seating and lots of different rooms and areas to sit. Lovely evening had.

I can not fault it great pub very good atmosphere first class service will be down again when I call from Yorkshire.

Best Pizza in Manningtree, visited on a Sunday - the pizza place is a Takeaway but the best part of that is you can take it to the pub next door! We sat and ate our pizzas with a jug of pimms- Pizza was so good with great choices and easy to change your toppings- can’t wait to return

This is Sunday 13th June, I tried to order a pizza delivery to Brantham for this evening the time is 8pm. The first delivery date given for a meal this evening is Wednesday 16th June. I believe that something is wrong with your delivery service. I cancelled my order.

Absolutely amazing pizza. We ordered garlic cheesy bread, the Pesty Goat and the Mediterranean Meltdown. Everything was exceptional. Some of the best pizza we’ve had. 10/10 recommend!!

Best pizza around easily 😋 ! They offer free delivery if local, with a £22.50 spend which makes it even more tempting to order all the time! They also have a loyalty scheme which allows money off your orders when built up They have Lovely kind staff and the food delivery is always on time or even early sometimes! Pizza is amazing, highly, highly recommend! 😁

Luscious pizza from The Pizza Place. Loads of topping. We are loyal to Lucca (but not tonight!) and HONESTLY . . This is a seriously good competitor. Loads of topping. I 'made' mine from Margherita with Stilton, garlic mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and roasted peppers. It is probably the best I've had, along with Lucca. But more topping and less salty dough. LOVED IT! ALSO Mary's little lamb was good if you like meat and don't want tomato base.

Amazing pizza - can’t recommend highly enough!! The fresh toppings are plenty, imaginative and fun and if you’re lucky enough to be collecting or having a cheeky pint next door in the pub, the staff are great too!! The dough is freshly made daily onsight and it’s the only pizza I actually eat the crust of - top tip: don’t forget the aioli for dipping. Treat yourself here, you won’t be disappointed...

Some of best take away pizzas had and excellent prompt friendly delivery service. Great selection of pizzas all customisable or make your own selection from scratch so choices are endless and you won’t be disappointed. Big well done. Amazing pizzas that feel like a real treat. We have collected and had delivered and both are equally as efficient. Lots of toppings to choose from and you can get a takeaway beer to go with it.

A new takeaway service from the Red Lion pub in Manningtree and the first time we have used it. Ordered three pizzas online which arrived bang on the selected time (45 mins from ordering). Can honestly say they were the best takeaway pizzas we have had. My wife avoids takeaway pizzas like the Covid virus but she loved her Three Piggies pizza. Very unusual topping combinations and you can customise your choice. Also there was a small box of free rocket included which I love. Prices in line with other takeaway services nearby but so much better quality.
