I went to Pink Simba last night after seeing their photos all over Facebook for the platters I had to visit and lo & behold I found time to go last night before heading for a party. I don’t understand the bad reviews. The booking process was quick and simple with Amrit. We got to the restaurant and it wasn’t too busy got our seat. Ordered our drinks and they came promptly. We ordered the carnivorous large platter, & some paneer tikka. Portion sizes for small plates could be better. Once the platter had come there was a mixture of different meats. The lamb chops could do with more flavour but apart from the chops everything else was on point. The wings were AMAZING although if I could I would cook them for a bit longer. The kebabs were nice and had a decent kick had a really good desi taste. All in all the experience was very good from the staff to the food to the atmosphere. The owner of the restaurant kept coming to make sure me and my group were happy as well as some light hearted fun. Would I go again? Definitely!

I haven't been since Covid lock down but prior to that I went with my family. I have eaten at many restaurants and different cuisines. With regards to Indian the kebabs and chops type of food I've eaten in comparison to Pink Simba's. I would say PS is the best for dry sizzling type food aswell as the curries. We always order the prawns meat platter. Delish 😋 our favourite. I haven't eaten this variety and flavours anywhere else even in the specialist restaurants in Southall. Nicky the owner actually cooks in his restaurant kitchen and comes out to see how his customers are and makes time to chat. Sometimes at other restaurants I've found the starters are ok but mains not so good. Well this is not the case at Pink Simba's. Both are equally fresh, tasty and full of flavours. I always found the waiters and waitresses are equally friendly as the owner and owners son. Ignore anyone talking negatively about this restaurant and staff. It's just coming from people who are not happy in themselves and projecting outwardly. I'm looking to book tonight for my husband's birthday. Looking forward to the food and seeing the Nicki 😉

3rd Curry of The Week! I can honestly say this is one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. I don’t understand why people persevere with Asian/Indian fusions. The flavours and spices don’t work together, they are different profiles. For the price I’d expect a lot lot better. The Hot wings were the same as I’d expect to find at the Beefeater up the road with some hot sauce drizzled over the top, adding a mint yoghurt dip doesn’t make it a fusion. My Chicken Masala I asked for hot, extra garlic doesn’t do that and nothing you wouldn’t be able to cook yourself from the BBC Good Food Indian range (believe me I’ve done it). The only reason this gets two stars is because of Daniela, very attentive, pleasant and a smile at all times.

Ignore the bad reviews! The food and the service is phenomenal! The carnivourous platter is delicious, I can't fault anything on it. The lamb chops are the best I have had in Kenton and surrounding areas. Once you are seated, you can take your time and eat at your own pace. You are not rushed out like some other places not far from Pink Simba. It's a chilled vibe. The owners are nothing but accomodating, chef comes out to your table and asks how everything is. You can see he really knows his customers because he is always greeted with smiles and hugs! So that should tell you everything. Also, if you see Indian people eating at an Indian restaurant, you know the food is going to be exceptional (same as any cuisine)

Just had a look at the reviews and was quite surprised to see so many terrible reviews. Personally I enjoyed my meal with my friends and enjoyed the evening. We went for two platters between 5 of us and that had lamb chops , different grills, prawns , fries, etc. Staff I thought were alright and were polite to us. I would personally come back and recommend it as well.

Ordered takeaway from this place and found the customer service to be very poor. We ordered and on collection, we were told that the minimum spend of £20 on card. We were never told this when we ordered nor any signs anywhere in the restaurants. Got very rude answers back and would not recommend this place to anyone. The food wasn't great and the customer care is pathetic. Avoid like the plague !!!

This restaurant is amazing from its deco, to music to menu. Its so hard to find good quality food in South London that we travelled all the way to The Pink Simba after hearing raving reviews. I've been dining at Pink Simba for around 15 years and still keep going back because the food is truly amazing. Every single time I go back, it never disappoints. It's a place I go to with family to celebrate special occasions, and it's a place my boyfriend and I love coming to for a date night. Their signature dish which we always order every single time, is the Pink Simba mixed grill. The meat is cooked to perfection and the flavours are absolutely delicious. We always order a curry as well, either masala chicken or lamb, and OMG it just melts in your mouth and again it has amazing flavour. Their vegetarian dishes are delicious as well, one of my favourites is Bhagan Bharta which is an eggplant (aubergine) based curry. Pink Simba are absolutely amazing with food allergies. I have a severe dairy allergy, my brother in-law has a nut allergy and my best friend is a ceoliac (gluten free) but we have all always been safe at Pink Simba because they are always so careful. The Chef and the staff at Pink Simba are very welcoming and friendly. The service is always great and in my opinion, Pink Simba is the best Indian restaurant in London.

I ordered a large meat platter with prawns and the portion size was a joke. £38. I received 3 prawns for £7.50 and asked the chef to explain. He apologised and explained that 1 must have disintegrated and replaced it. I don’t think he got the point that I was shocked that I paid £7.50 for 4 prawns. Don’t waste your money hear peeps. Food was mediocre. It’s a shame if the portion sizes were better I would have given a better review

I was taken here by my friend who had been several times before and he raved about it. Well, I was not disappointed. The staff at first were a little tentative but pleasant and helpful. BUT, after placing our order the chef/owner came out to discuss the order with us. He made some suggestions and we went with his advice AND he was right, We had ordered too much food, as the Sharing platter was enough with the prawns and some starters. The quality and flavours of the food were really good and not over priced. We had a really lovely meal and I particularly like the setting of restaurant come lounge with different seating etc.The place is not large and the menu is enough without being daunting, which we found very good. We booked and all the advice is to do that or be disappointed, the place was busy even on a week night, at the weekends it is very busy so booking in advance is essential.

We really do like coming to Pink Simba. Service is really good and the owner always comes out to talk to us and other guests to ask if we are ok and if we need anything else which is a sign of good service and does not go unnoticed. I can only comment on the mixed meat platters as we always get this as it has a selection of yummy lamb and chicken bits (my favourite are the lamb chops) and masala chips which are seriously delicious. This place has real potential. My only gripe is, every time we call to make a reservation, they always say they are busy and when we do manage to make a booking, we get there and it's never really that busy. I guess because the restaurant really isn't that big they fear they may overbook. The cocktails aren't great, but the ambience, once it's busy is really nice and cosy. I really think the owners would do even better than they are if they opened up a bigger place. If they don't, well I will still be coming for the scrummy mixed platter! We were there a few days ago and saw the Hollywood actor Dev Patel with his family on the next table, so can't be that bad, eh!

We have been going to Pink Simba since it first opened (Aka Nikees). If you want excellent food that is cooked fresh from scratch by a great Chef, then this is the place. Everybody in the family loves it, we go there whenever we crave for real homemade Indian food. The hot wings are amazing, the saag lamb outstanding and the Kerala delicious (and rare to find in restaurants), accompanied by hot crispy Naan. If the food takes a bit longer to come than the restaurants you are used to it's because it's cooked from scratch and that takes time (rather than the many restaurants that use pre-made curry pastes to which they add chicken or lamb making every dish taste the same). The Chef Nikee (a real talent) and his son Amit treat us like family and Amit's 80's soul mix of music has me singing after a few ice cold Tuskers. Can't recommend enough.

The staff were so attentive and lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Even trying to recognise some of the stars on the many pictures dotted round the restaurant. I told the staff in would post this from the pink witch!! The food was fabulous and portions huge. We started with Marsala chips, lamb chops, samosas and spicy paneer all was very spicy and delicious. Mains came and the chicken makhani was so scrummy, the corn cream dish was sublime, Keema dish was very spicy and the chicken methi was tasty. The tarka dhall was very spicy was again delicious. I am probably bias towards this place slightly as this is the host of my Wife and I first date 4 years ago. Since, that first date we have never forgot this place and keep on coming back, in fact, when anyone is in town and they say curry this is our frav hot spot! Nothing fancy about this place, in fact, its down to earth plays great music classics from the 90's, real throwback for all the 80's kids (which I am, late 80's that is).Ok, so what to order, the mix grill platter is a must, Nikis wings and lamb chops, oh my goodness out of this world! Oh and a plate (or two) of mogo is a must (African chip or Casava to most). Mains - Butter chicken is sensational and I truly mean that I have had butter chicken across the globe even throughout our travels in India and this place tops all!So why is some restaurant that seems nothing out of the ordinary getting a 4.5/5 I hear you ask, well simply because this this place caters for ordinary folk at average price ranges but what they serve in food quality is a cut above all. Don't come here expecting anything fancy this review of mine is based purely on their food, If I base it on décor, tables etc then it would not be up there. This has a 4.5 out of 5 for food - how does this place score a straight out 5 for food? simply, get Poppadum's back on the menu or rather pls serve what is stated on the menu and also expand the desert selection. Finally, what is actually a nice touch is the Chef always makes time to do a walk around with the dinners, talking to each person makes this a little more personal - you get to see the famous man behind the name on the wings! There you have it, a fine example of an ordinary restaurant that does what it says on the tin, and does it well!

My girlfriend and I are now regular visitor's to London now that friends live there so we have done the usual tourist spots. Now we are starting to discover lesser known attractions and restaurants. Our friends took us to The Pink Simba last Sunday night and as a big fan of spicy food and large portions I was excited to see what was on offer. The restaurant is a nice size. Not too large where the customers become just another mouth to feed. The menu had plenty variety with a good vegetarian section. The staff were friendly and allowed us space to decide on our order. Any questions we had over items on the menu were answered well.In total we ordered 7 starters between the 4 of us as we wanted to try so much. Every plate was cleared by the end of that course. I particularly enjoyed the Paneer Tikka and the lamb kebabs. There were other dishes which included crispy potatoes and chickpeas, spicy meat samosas, fish bhajias and others which I cannot remember. Everything tasted great. The waiter then returned to take our main course order and three of us shared a large platter which included lamb chops, crispy chicken wings, chicken tikka, lamb kebabs and chicken legs. One of us decided on the vegetarian option of the paneer makhni. We ordered breads and a lacha paratha which you must order if you go. This in particular was delicious. We were all absolutely stuffed full after this meal but it was well worth it. Every dish was full of flavour and next time we are in the area we will try and go back if we can book a table.

Visited for dinner this evening & got to say it's one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. I'd booked a table but the second you get in there they jump on you to ask if you have a booking & if you don't they turn you away even though they have empty tables. Portions are small for the price you pay and the food was ridiculously salty. Mentioned the fact that the food was salty to the waitress and she was completely unwilling to listen and argued the fact that it was not salty! Ummmm, surely as the customers should be listened to??? Not at Pink Simba! I was told that if I sent the dish back I'd still be charged for it. There was nothing green in the hara bharra kebab which is a bit odd as these are usually a green colour & have spinach etc in it. Service was slow & curries were ok but I wouldn't go back.Avoid this place unless you like bad salty food, poor service and just want to throw your money away.

Visited pink simba by recommendation. Food portions are very small for the amount you pay. 30 quid for 8 wings 4 chops and chicken tikka and 4 seek kebabs is extortionate Restaurant is quite small. Would be accommodating for couples and small groups. Overall food was okay but have had a lot better. Masala curries were very nice and chef came out to ask if all was ok too which was a lovely gesture.

Have been to this restaurant countless times. The food is delicious, would particularly recommend the peri peri Mogo and hot wings. This family run restaurant is friendly and caring, the chef, Nikee, always making an effort of saying hi to us during our meal. Service may be a little slow at times, however this is due to the food being cooked from scratch with love and care. A must visit in Kenton!

Poor customer service. Cannot order items on menu. Poor variety. Wouldn't substitute food not available. Asked for the bill and left. Won't be coming back here again.

What a great dining experience.I've visited here a few times over the last few weeks/months and have no problem in carrying on.Very modern setting, great service, excellent food. What I liked about my experience was that the chef came out to greet us and asked what we faniced. He would also give us his recommendations. So far he's been spot on. This Kenjabi (Kenyan and Punjabi) food is very tasty and hits the spot.If I'm being picky, the only thing this place falls down on is having draft beer. They serve Tusker beer which is a Kenyan Beer(is a nice beer), which might be the reason.Go check it out, it's worth just going to see presentation of the mixed grill platter!

Went to the pink simba after a recommendation on the 27th August upon entering your greeted by a vast amount of pink very modern decor which looks nice. But it's all wasted the front of house are the worst I have ever seen in my entire dining life rude not attentive had to call every time and it only had 4 covers so not busy at all when asking for recommendations was told what ever you want how rudeWhen ordering a particular dish oh can't make that needs time to be marinated not on the menu at all One dish the lambs leg stated that it needs notice to cook So changed out mind and ordered food it was nice but the taste was seriously let down by the server who was so rude I am in shock even other dinners who I met outside had the same complaints. Then after you have eaten the want you to pay the entire bill via cash No mention at all when we sat down to order! They say there is a sign on the door which you don't see as they open the door to you when you enter. And no compromise at all just rude and abusive when challenged.Worst dining experience for me and my business guests I have ever had embarrassed me so much when I had to go to the "cash point" where I met with other angry frustrated patrons doing the same thingSo if you want extremely bad customer service please go to the pink simba

Pink Simba consistently produces amazing dishes, whether we are eating in or get a takeaway, which is a rare commodity when it comes to Indian restaurants in north west London! The dining experience is equally brilliant - staff are always attentive and Nikki and Amit (father and son owners & chefs) will always make sure you have everything you need. The great thing is that you can dine as a couple, have dinner with mates or with family - they restaurant caters for everyone. My recommendation would be the carnivorous platter, that way you can try a bit of everything. If you have a large and hungry group - the preordered leg of lamb and maji maji chicken is great!

Good food veg and non veg, good variety and choice, but very over priced. £9.50 for chicken wings and you only get 7 pieces, a bit extortionate! Waitress happy, and once you get to know them they are friendly as is the owner and chef, father and son team. Very small place. Parking on side roads or main road after 6.30. Too expensive for my liking!!

I had a wonderful experience dining at The Pink Simba not only was the food simply mouth watering (especially the wings and lamb chops) but the overall atmosphere was great. fantastic music 80's/90's soul and the staff were so polite and friendly. great family run business the chef also makes a point of coming round to see if everything is ok, which is a nice touch. I've been back since and can highly recommend this place to anyone. .

Pink Simba is one of my fav places to eat. The lamb chops are so tender and tasty and the chicken is worthy of an award itself! All the food is faultless whether cooked by father or son. Whilst eating this divine food I find my feet tapping away to the 80s music whilst I divulge! It's a small and quaint environment and would def recommend this place to everyone especially those who love the Kenyan Kuku!

Yesterday me and my friend had a meal from gana, the food was extremely delicious and the atmosphere was also lovely but tbh customer service was not very satisfying. Before ordering food, the staffs behaved good. But after that, they were engaged in some pissy pissy talks that they even forgot to give us our bill. We stood closer to the cash counter about 3 minutes, unnoticed. They were chilling and talking. At last I asked one of the staff to give the bill, then only she gave me. Due to good taste, customers will of course come to your restaurant but along with that work on your customer service also. Otherwise it can lead to a bad impression
