The Picnic Bar in North Kesteven

NOT ABOUT THE PICNIC BAR. All about parking. Regarding parking, a theft occurred in my unit last night, and I discovered I wasn't the only victim. Therefore, I do not recommend this location for overnight parking.

The best food around, been here a few times now travelling down the a17 and it never disappoints, friendly people and perfect food.i can’t recommend it more and will definitely be back soon 👍

Definitely one if not the best bacon, sausage & black pudding sandwiches. Lovely staff very friendly. Highly recommend if driving past, big lay-by for HGV’s to park in. Thank you lady’s for a great breakfast, I’ll be back next time I’m passing.

This place advertises home-made fries, which are gross. The burgers are edible and the option to pay by card is a plus.

Cafe closed and the advertised toilets don't exist.

Stopped in the truck for a break , the food was so good , the chips were home made and tasted amazing , lovely lady serving , highly recommended. 5*

we planned our holiday route so we stopped here as it's sort of half way, had toilets and we had prepared a picnic. The road at this spot is incredibly bad (as it was 3 years ago). We parked up and went off to the loo (as did all the other travellers) and lo and behold - they were locked. Therefore the men and children were using anywhere possible. Not the healthiest nor the most pleasant option and not an option for the ladies. Obviously the picnic bar itself was closed too

Lovely lady, made me a very healthy BLT and a gorgeous cup of tea that I really needed. Please make use of this little gem so that us truck drivers have home made grub instead of tasteless fatty rubbish.

The picnic bar was closed in the mid morning. No great loss as we were really keen to use the toilets rather than food. Please whatever you do avoid the toilets here... They are disgusting in everyway. If they get cleaned at all it must be a rarity as everything was filthy. Urine on the floor. Excrement on the walls. The stench was off the charts. You get the picture. Avoid. If these are council maintained then they should be ashamed.

Often stopped here toilets basic & often in need of a clean but . Stopped on 10/8 Family said the mens was awful and very smelly, the picnic bar is under new ownership. Service was very slow, food not great. Normally ok to stop for a picnic but grass overgrown. Definitely worse than before.

Good stop for a quick cup of tea and a bite to eat. Very basic and simple. (Its a pity about the very smelly public toilets)

There wasn't a no star option. This place is awful. The tea was awful. The toilets are disgusting. The men's was closed the women's dirty and disgusting. It should be closed down. It's a health risk.

nothing beats chips, fish gravy and peas. With tea at sea side. Fish was crisp and chips not soggy. Tea was warm and wet.

If you like your tea like dishwater and your ham sandwiches on dry stale bread and be charged for the privilege then make your way to the filthy toilets to throw it all up again then this is the place for you.

Toilets had a sign that said they were cleaned and inspected daily. They must see some serious action for them to look like they did when I arrived at noon. I've been to week long festivals were the 'trough toilets' were cleaner than these. Flies everywhere, water coming out of the front door and oh dear lord, the toilet bowl- I'll leave out that detail and let your imagination run wild. Only go if desperate.

Have come here for many years on way or back from hull. Food is always lovely.

Always stop here good food etc but disappointed to find it closed on a Sunday afternoon at 2.00’o’clock on a bank holiday weekend with no notice as to why and tomorrow is bank holiday Monday do you take a chance or find somewhere else its their loss!

Basic, but I can't imagine there are any public toilets for miles. So I was welcome to find them.

After a long drive just what you need. A rest stop with cafe toilets and somewhere to walk the dog.

Sonewhere to stop, eat and use the loo what else do you need in a roadside stop?

The food was excellent very well presented and excellent value for money
