The Perky Nel in Lambeth

Friendly staff but the delivery of the food took 45 mins, and the roast was incredibly bland. Not a single item on the plate had any taste. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this place for food

What a lovely brunch! Cosy pub with a great atmosphere and super friendly staff. The sausages were so tasty and I think we ended up re-ordering so many portions of halloumi fries they must have run out! Sarah was so attentive and made sure we didn’t need or want for anything! Will definitely be going back again soon 😊

Service was great, we were looked after so well, I ordered a steak for dinner and it came so dry and no vegetables as it says on the menu. After I asked for a peppercorn sauce the chef said he will give it to me after he finishes he’s cigarette and the sauce came 15 minutes after I received my meal. Very disappointed…

DO NOT BOOK IN LARGE GROUPS!! We went after a touch rugby event and took about 40/50 people. The bar staff completely messed up our tab so let loads of random people order or our tab. Once we settled it they continued arguing for more money. One of the bar staff was particularly rude and shouted in my face, so much so that the security guard had to intervene to ask her to stop. Shambolic service, they didn’t have enough people to serve everyone at the pub and then messed up the tab and were incredibly rude about their mistake. The pub is overpriced for what it is, especially for service like that. I would avoid as there are so many nicer places around the Clapham area that would love your attendance, compared to this rude, disorganised pub. Also the loos were very below average and quite disgusting. Will never be returning and hope the bar staff get some training so what happened to us doesn’t happen to others.

Booked a table here for a meal after visiting the Clapham Common War Bunkers (recommended by the way!). Absolutely packed including the terrace outside. Very loud and young vibe - I think we were the only people (considerably) over 30 in there! Ordered via the App, several main dishes not available (at 8.30), several drinks on the printed menu not on the app, necessitating a trip to the crowded bar anyway. Waited half-an-hour before enquiring on how much longer it would be, was told the 'kitchen was backed up and it would be another half-hour!! I created a bit of a fuss at this stage and sure enough our meal seemed to be bumped up the order. Have to say the food was very good, steak very tasty and well-cooked. Seem to be geared up to a young clientele, and mainly for a drink and perhaps some snacks like chips etc. I wouldn't book this for a 'dining out' experience, but if you fit their target audience, you'll probably have a good time in here!

If your looking for exemplary service, great food and awesome beer, the Perky Nel is the place to be! Just a stone throw away from Clapham South station,the outside area is an absolute dream, what a sun trap! Zack was our server tonight and he could not do any more if he tried. Generally engaging and extremely personal to all the people I was with. I most definitely recommend this place.

Been here numerous times hoping they would improve but each time it feels like they get something else wrong. The Swingers Roast used to be its saving grace but they’ve increased the price to £45 - this is the same price as west end chop houses such as Blacklock. The Perky Nel is no match so should not be charging this price. Food is average, service is slow. Staff are nice but in serious need of training. The venue itself is great - just let down by sloppy service, and overpriced food.

Celebrated my 29th birthday with 14 friends for a brunch and it was great! Food was pre booked and all came out perfectly. Communication before was also excellent. Staff were super attentive and drinks were flowing. We were given jugs of aperol, bottles of Prosecco and juice for Bellinis so it was great value for money. Had some live music too which was fab. Would highly recommend for a bottomless brunch!

Everything you would expect from this kind of place in clapham, pretty good all round. However, we went at about 7pm on a saturday and the music was so loud, like shout in the ear of the person next to you loud and good look hearing anything anyone says who's not on your bit of the table loud. Don't mean to be a party pooper, we were up for a big night out, but that early in the evening you kind of want to be able to chat with the person across the table from you over a few drinks before going somewhere with a decibel level this extreme.

Food was delicious, accommodated us when we wanted to change our tables. Good value for bottomless, and shout out to Georgia!!! She was amazing with our bottomless brunch, such good service and so friendly. Lovely experience!!

This restaurant is beautiful, it’s dog friendly, they even gave us a dog bed never mind a doggy roast dinner 😊. Service was impeccable and such friendly staff. Clean and tidy and the ladies toilets were also very clean (doesn’t always happen). The only point I’d like to make is the menu online is not the same as in the restaurant so they should change that. We will be back for sure and I will be recommending them to all my friends.

Amazing staff, very attentive - they gave us a dog bed (yes - dog friendly!). Perfect location, heaters and cover from the rain. Thank you!

Really nice atmosphere and lovely staff, who were super chatty and friendly. Great selection of beers too! Great for a first date type thing.

Worst service from the new management, The next door Sheisha lounge rescued the night brilliantly. Working with Universal music and Sony, we will be sending them to review it on all their SM! Nearly ruined a birthday. Go to the Sheisha lounge much much better service And food 5/5.

Good food served by two pleasant ladies with a smile. All very quick and stylish presented. Nice atmosphere !! Highly recommended
