great friendly local pub, great 'proper ' beer, friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere, just want you want from a local pub / bar. very easy going place with regular live (decent) music. well worth trying out, although its not a secret anymore

Was the only person waiting at the bar. The owner was taking to what I assume was a vendar, gave them a free sampler of 4 beers. I waited 9 mins at an empty bar to be served and nobody served me so I left. After 3 minutes I decided, as I was the only person at the bar, to not ask to be served. Can’t judge them on anything else.

6 adults 7 mildly noisy children. Not the best drinking environment but that's probably me getting old. Curates

Friendly vibe, with great beers, always something new and interesting to try. Just up the hill from the train station so very handy to start or finish a night!
