The Peacock in Kettering

We came into the peacock rather late, and it was quite busy with the Halloween party, however we were shown a table around the back of the restaurant by Phoebe, out of the way of the crowds and the karaoke set up which was perfect for us. Even though it was busy and close to kitchen closing (8.35pm) our food came out quickly, and it was hot, fresh and delicious. We had cocktails and for once (hard to find in pubs nowadays) you could actually taste alcohol in them. Chris the manager was very friendly and pleasant, as were the others working that evening (Gemma, Phoebe and Tiegan), kept us laughing all night until closing time. Outstanding service guys!

Fantastic breakfast at a good price and service you cannot fault.

Had a breakfast Hearty Irish asked for bacon and sausage well done, all came out just as I asked. Eggs were cooked perfectly, also Phoebe served me quickly and efficiently. All in all a satisfying visit.

Went on on Friday for a works do to watch the Rugby, amazing service from the barstaff and manager all night. Good food at good prices, will definitely be returning thank you!

What a lovely pub! A lovely atmosphere to come for drinks with a group of friends. A wonderful worker called Aleisha served us during the hours we were there for and her service was top notch! Friendly, chatty and kind, she made the whole experience that much better. Thank you, Aleisha!

Watched the football and the 100 cricket last night plus both had a meal I had fish and chips wife had taps bot meals came out well presented and tasted just as good staff are friendly and service spot on

First time in a long going in the Peacock pub Kettering, we had a delicious lunch, chicken, bacon ceaser salad and I can truthful say it was the best tasting 😋 salad 🥗 that I've had for ages , and it was on the recommendation of Gemma how work's there, thank you Gemma, your a star , will certainly be in for more 😋

The Caeser salad was really tasty and I would have it again . The young lady Gemma that served us was very helpful and friendly.!

The gammom tastes like charcoal there was one staff that sounded like they were in a mood than the other staff I noticed him served a person without ID them for alcohol I don't think we will come here again

Food is always great, however the waiting times have never been good, most recent visit we were waiting almost an hour for burger and chips.

Wasn't too busy but still had a nice atmosphere. Happy hour prices were good and the staff were very nice.

I came in today and got served by Gem and Tracey. Extremely helpful and friendly Bar staff, will be back!

Really excellent food. Our 'sandwiches' were actually served in tasty ciabattas, with delicious skin-on chips and lovely salad and coleslaw. We sat in the sunny garden (about the only one in Kettering!) and the staff here are friendly and really helpful

Food and atmosphere both a 10/10, have no complaints what so ever. All staff were polite and could help any more if they tried and really nice food at a really good price. Gemma was really nice and could help us enough with menu when it came to our dietary requirements and who ever wanted as in the kitchen deserves credit for how fast and amazing the food was. Will 100% be back again in the near future.

Friendly staff. Only real ale is Doombar. Food - microwaved to death. Lack of soft furnishings makes it too loud for a conversation. Screens with repeating self promotion throughout. And dogs are banned. At least it's not overly expensive.

It's cheap & cheerful, good selection of drinks & the menu is standard, perfect for a lunch & dinner.. Good variety all round at a nice price. Can't fault the service or the pub..hits the spot .

My local Kettering pub. Pool table and slot machines with a good variety of beers. I have never eaten there to write about the food. The stuff and the atmosphere are very friendly.

Just a normal nice run of the mill pub..... Menu looks good and value for money....Grills, burgers, pizzas, chicken..... Haven't eaten but intend to soon.... Think of a Wetherspoons but cleaner.... Had a couple of quiet pints.... TV's showing Sky Sports if that's your thing...

Old pub amazingly cheap for food and drinks they do a mega breakfast for 7.99 which will leave you stuffed. Great price amazing food easy to find loads of parking. Staff are friendly and place is always clean

went to watch the england v scotland rugby game but they insisted on changing the main screen to a football match even though no one was watching it.

Trying to find somewhere nice to have my baby shower on a budget and the peacock really did this! Lovely venue, let me decorate how I wanted, didn’t interfere, Chris the manager is lovely can’t fault him or the other staff! The peacock is a very busy pub on a Saturday with the sports going on, but they did a lovely job of reserving me a big area of the pub which was perfect. Even with all the kids running round!! Great place! I’ll definitely be using again if needed! Thank you so much guys!!

Hi went to the peacocks on the 30th December and a lovely lady called Gemma p was absolutely 💯 amazing she is a pleasant happy lady with a warm smile I don't come in here much but I will be now I felt very welcome she is amazing she is a credit to the peacocks xx also louise was very helpful pleasant girl so happy and they both do there job really good they are a credit to the peacocks I will be definitely coming back because of them they made me feel very welcome well done girls ur the best xxx

I visit the peacock regularly and am always greeted with a smile by the friendly staff. Gem always goes out of her way for me and my friends. Getting us our pints or food as fast as possible. Would highly recommend this place for it's excellent food and service.

Came here for our work Christmas Party on Saturday. Dan was on the bar and looked after us. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was great, and super good value. Chris and James in the kitchen genuinely cared about the food and came out to ask us how everything was. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great night, Peacock team!

Came in for a funeral and had an excellent experience. All of the staff were excellent, especially Gemma, Cheryl and Ally and compliments to the kitchen team (I believe it was Chris and James) as the food was fantastic

We booked a table, all of the food was cold and some of it looked under cooked, half our guests meals were late as some of us finished of what we could before the others had even turned up, we asked where the food was and they couldn't tells us as they said we used two different table numbers but we all used the same table number, it seemed like they were unprepared for a group and only prioritised the deliveroo orders and forgot about the customers sitting in as some people that came in after us got there food first, they then refused to serve us alcohol as they said some of our group were drunk but they were happy to serve the people watching football and who couldn't walk in a straight line

All of our food come out cold had to wait a long time for half of guests food kids meals was cold

Great outdoor space in the summer. If it rains and you still want to be outside there are little huts with tv to sit in. Staff are friendly. Plenty of sports to watch too.

A nice town centre pub with plenty of food and drink options. Another visit today and had the mega Breakfast, it was amazing. A huge plate full for £6. We also had the fish and chips which were very tasty also. Great food

Change of management has been a refreshing change! New boss Christopher has brought new ideas in but still keeps the regulars happy. Drink prices still reasonable and staff friendly especially barmaid Tracey! New big outdoor TV in the beer garden is a good addition, even put the women's football on for us this weekend! Happy!

The peacock has the most friendly staff ...the drinks are at a real reasonable price and food is good quality for the price and if you like a snack the pulled beef tacos are definitely value for money ....I highly recommend them

Fun place best breackfast in town lovley staff

Wouldn’t even give this place one star! Had an awful experience, would never return. Me, my friend and both our partners went in to have lunch. We sat down and within 5 minutes a girl from behind the bar (in her 20’s, had glasses) came over and demanded to see all of our id’s or we would be asked to leave, she was very rude and abrupt. baring in mind we hadn’t even been to the bar or asked for a drink! I asked why she needed to see them & she bluntly replied ‘it’s the rules’ we still needed to show them even though we were all having soft drinks! We all shown our id’s as we are all in our 20’s and she walked off. 5 minutes later another member of staff came over and asked again! I explained to her the girl from the bar had already checked and the older member of staff went to ask her as if we were lying! They both stood there talking and pointing at us, it was such a horrible atmosphere as we felt we were constantly being watched for nothing? We left as we didn’t feel comfortable being in there any longer. When we got up the young girl shouted at us as we’re walking out ‘whatever, we don’t care if you leave have a nice day’ in a very sarcastic tone. I have never heard of asking for id for soft drinks or even to sit down in a pub? I think the manager should re-think his staff her attitude towards customers is appalling.

Came here with a few friends for a drink (non alcoholic) around 10pm as many places weren’t open much later, the staff were extremely rude as soon as we entered and I didn’t even want to buy a drink after that. We were spoke to rudely the whole time we were there and staff were muttering amongst each other about us while we were stood right in front of them at the bar, another lady was then called over who came out and checked our ID then proceeded to follow us into the outside space. Will definitely not be coming back with that kind of service👍🏻
