Restauracja Gospoda in Kettering

I was at Gospoda in Kettering for a private party, so I didn’t actually try the food, but I did get to see the place and talk to the staff. The prices seem fair and the service was really friendly – everyone was kind and helpful. The inside of the restaurant could use a bit of a refresh though – it feels like it needs a little update. BIG free car park 👍 I hope I get a chance to come back soon and try the food. Maybe then I’ll update my review!

Atmospheric and large restaurant with Polish food. So far the best one I've been to (out of four in the UK)

They speak English 👍🏻 very polite easy to find very clean. The food is to die for amazing quality huge portions and 100% authentic. I had the potatoe pancakes with pork goulash ate every bite and the house smells beautiful. Very reasonable price wise as well absolutely perfect

Overpriced,ll no taste, no esence of polish kitchen. Staff ok, place is mish mash tlno style, no character same as soup and 2nd dish. Shnitzel worse that frozen lidl, salad...from a jar in polish shop, tea? Tea is cheap 2 bags and water. Sorry the place looks like need refurbish from parking, inside was cold, food arrive qucik but thw taste,..after so many restaurant and fod over years this is bad. Paid a lot of money and same staff perhaps better cooked home for a fraction of pruce. Firat and last visit.

The St. Andrew's Day party was a success, although I'm not a fan of this type of music, I still had a good time. Quite a small selection of alcohols, but everyone could find something for themselves.

Lovely meal with family, food was great and staff was very friendly, helpful & efficient whilst being very busy.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Kettering, mainly as it serves one of my husband's favorite dishes, steak tartar at a very reasonable price. We both like their soups, which includes a beet soup, and also traditional zurek (rye) soup. Main selections are plentiful, with mainly pork, chicken, and vegetarian dishes (their mushroom dishes are very good). My favorite dish is a chicken noodle pasta dish, flavoured with fresh dill, and served with mushrooms within. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had dinner today, we were coming back from the seaside and we had something on the way, so we thought we would try it despite many negative opinions. We ordered a Hungarian pancake, unfortunately it didn't taste as good as the Hungarian pancake... everything was so over-salted that I can still taste the salt, the food had no taste except salt, we ate it because we were hungry, but never again. The portion was large and the waitress was very nice and polite. The cleanliness of the place leaves much to be desired, the pepper shaker, salt shaker etc. are so dirty that I would be ashamed to give something like that to a guest. Unfortunately, I do not recommend it, we will not go back there again.

We had communion here. The worst place in Kettering, the cook either has no taste or was drunk when he prepared the food. The waitress had no idea what she was doing.

We had communion here today and we highly recommend it. Beautifully decorated tables, and the lunch portions are large and tasty. The service was nice and very helpful. They put their whole heart into it and it shows! We will definitely come back again to organize another event :) Thank you very much for today, especially for the express help in organizing the bouncy castle😊

A place worth recommending. Both the kitchen and the service.

This is our place for Sunday lunch. Real food "just like mom's" Sour soup, broth, dumplings, beef roulades - world championship! We will always come back there!

Great service, very nice lady The cleanliness of the place was terrible, the floor in the toilet was sticky and we were there at 1:15 p.m., so right after opening the chairs were made of leather and weren't very clean, I think the tables could be thoroughly degreased and wiped. The food was not good, I don't have high expectations, but even the children didn't want to eat the nuggets because, as my son said, they were stinking, the tenderloins in chanterelle sauce were too salty and old - the meat simply smelt. I simply don't recommend it ever again

Tragedy, the lady recommended guinea fowl which was stale, three days of my life were taken away by food poisoning, the decor is terrifying, we could have left immediately as our intuition told us. For two people it's £45, expensive, I don't recommend it

I've only had takeaways from here. It's simple Polish everyday food done well, the kind of food Mum used to make. This placed is well spoken of within the Polish community too. A great place for Jonny English to experience a taste of Poland. I dropped a star because as nice as the food is, it always lacks the wow factor.

Food good. The sour rye soup was good but cold. You can't really complain about the food. However, to keep it clean inside, it would need some cleaning. There's a lot of garbage on the floor, and outside the old fridge and dishwasher near the entrance don't look good. Artificial flowers on the tables, just like in a restaurant during the Polish People's Republic. The spice equipment could also be replaced. And clean up behind the bar because the devil is still missing there. The service was nice, although the lady told us to clean up after the children at the end of the dinner, even though it was already a mess. So, to sum up, you can eat well and eat a lot, but you need to work on cleanliness.

A great place for dinner, karaoke or meetings with family or friends. Very nice and customer-friendly owners who try to satisfy the needs of their guests. We highly recommend it.

A wonderful St. Nicholas atmosphere

Food ok, very nice service. But it's terribly cold in the place. It's impossible to stay in lower temperatures.

Avoid this place Long waiting time for food order, poor hygiene with arogant staff. Place smells musty what ruin you food exerience. Place more likely to visit for someone who look for drink with lokal people than enyoing meal with family.

Fantastic place to come for dinner or to make a party. Organising multiple events for kids and adults. Karaoke nights every Friday. I didn’t realise I’ll be brave enough to sing on the front of so many people. Theme party for kids. Andzelika always entertaining kids so well. Food that bring memories from childhood.

The food was great, although too much salt for me, the atmosphere was great, the service was great 😊😊

I don't remember when I ate so well. It's not even like mom's, but like grandma's. The goulash with buckwheat was so good that I didn't lick the plate because I didn't have enough space.

Pyszne jedzenie, obiad jak u mamy lub babci, duży wybór dań w menu, przemiła obsluga, bardzo dobre drinki. Bylismy pierwszy raz w tym lokalu, ale na pewno nie ostatni.

Powiem tak, jedzenie bardzo adekwatne do wystroju restauracji - taki lekki komunizm, lata 90ąte. Kapuśniak i rosół niestety z dużą ilością magi, żurek był ok. Polędwiczki w sosie kurkowym smakowały jak wątróbka, placek po węgiersku był zjadalny natomiast też czuć tam było mage... Obsługa bardzo miła

My daughter and I were looking for somewhere to eat after watching the fireworks at Wicksteed park earlier this month. As we like Polish food we chanced upon this restaurant.The food was absolutely delicious, I had chicken soup and my daughter had Perogi (dumplings). We were offered complimentary homemade bread, whilst waiting for the food, which was warm and wholesome. The apple pie for dessert was also just amazing. We will definitely return!

Gorąco polecam wraz z moją dziewczyną odwiedzenie tego miejsca i spróbowanie ich dań bo naprawdę gotują bardzo pyszne potrawy. Dodatkowo dostaliśmy bułeczki własnego wypieku jako "czekadełko", które poprostu są przepyszne 😋 Obsługa jest również bardzo miła i sympatyczna. Moja opinia 10/10 bez dwóch zdań.

Odwiedziliśmy dziś Gospodę pierwszy raz będąc przejazdem w Welingborough. Kierowaliśmy sie wyborem restauracji opiniami z google. Pierwsze dania żurek i rosół były bardzo smaczne. Na drugie danie wybraliśmy polędwiczki w sosie kurkowym i pierogi ruskie. Pierogi super ale polędwiczki były twarde a kurki nie ugotowane. Obsługa bardzo mila i pomocna. Ale tylko 2 gwiazdki z 5ciu.

The restaurant was very nice and spacious in side . And when the meal came.it was very nicely presented on the plate. Lots of food .well worth the money. And the waitress was very friendly and talkative .which made me and my husband feel comfortable. Great place to go and eat. I recommend you go and try the food.

We were here for lunch for the first time today and were not disappointed. The food and service was faultless. Definitely recommend giving it a try. Little tip...there is a car park to the rear. Go in the Bar entrance and go up the stairs. The door on the right leads to the restaurant.

Świetne miejsce,czysto, przestrzennie , smaczne domowe jedzenie , przemiła obsługa.polecam z całego serca. Jest też kącik dla maluchów w trakcie oczekiwania na posiłek. Dobre piwko i wino. Można napić się też coś mocniejszego. Wyśmienite rolady z kluskami śląskimi.

Brałem dzisiaj 2 obiady na wynos i byłem zaskoczony, bardzo miła obsługa, jedzonko dobre, nie ma do czego się przyczepić, bardzo dużo miejsca. Polecam 🙂

Well what can I say it was worth every penny service was outstanding food was mouthwatering delicious definitely the best polish restaurant I've been to in England if you haven't been here already go you will love it full servings
