Been going there for 5 years. Never had a bad experience with food or staff. I feel welcomed every time I go. The location is lovely, right next to the Winter gardens, inside Duthie park.

Staff seem lovely. The soup with fresh bread on the side was absolutely divine! I’ll be back for more. Absolutely visit the Winter Gardens next door. Complimentary toilets (don’t need 20p) The Empire biscuit seemed undercooked. Pot of tea was OK - probably my fault for not taking the teabag out sooner, & I like more milk than they provided. The indoor venue was quite noisy, even though individual tables were fairly quiet, so: not great acoustics. Might be better in the atrium/ enclosed verandah? Get there early for a seat in the section beside the plants! Allocated a table at the entrance. Order at counter & carry drinks on tray. Food brought to table. Decent view of the park.

Ordered Sweet chilli chicken paninis. Expected them to be chunks of chicken in a sweet chilli sauce, they were in fact, chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs (which the menu did not specify) already a let down, the chicken then tasted cheap and as if it was washed in washing-up liquid. Cost us £40 all together, massive waste of money. Coffee was decent though

Check your glass, my child ended up getting a mouthful of broken glass and ended up going to hospital to be checked out. Probably an old glass that got damaged and cracked from the dishwasher. But still they should check before using for a customer. Also note they don't have a fully stocked first aid kit on hand for customers. Missing antiseptic as a minimum. Although again they aren't required I suppose to stock one for customers.

Decent prices for a good snack/drink. Staff were fine and we enjoyed our pieces. The chairs feel like cheap plastic, were wobbly and absolutely no back support at all. We went in on a Sunday. The park itself wasn't busy but the café was heaving. Not only that but it was loud. Lots of disciplined children running around. One got in on his bike and proceeded to scream the place down when removed from it. Great, love it. The place is okay. Not sure I'd sit inside again. Not worth the ear ache and relying on the structure of those awful chairs.

If you’re looking for an afternoon coffee in Aberdeen, go elsewhere. My friend and I felt enormously unwelcome here this afternoon. When we arrived at 2.15pm, the cakes were already being wrapped up and packed away despite the website saying that the cafe would be open until 5pm. Staff then proceeded to clear the tables to one side of the cafe, sweep the floor, hoover the doormat, switch off lights and whisk away plates from the tables with customers at them until everyone felt obliged to leave. We were out the door by 3.15pm, as was another group of friends who commented to us as they left that they were shocked at how overtly staff had made it clear it was time to go.

I rarely write reviews however today I have after my visit from Texas, USA. i visited the park cafe today with my freind who had a dog we tried to enter the main cafe however was refused entry by a staff member who said dogs were not permitted in the premises (which I find a bit weird as there are many dog walkers) we then went to the side cafe (which did allow dogs) we waited a while to be served with one guy working flat out with lots of customers then ordered two lattes with hazelnut. the guy on the till was very nice however when we went to pay the transaction failed, we tried multiple times times and eventually it worked he gave me the receipt and mentioned that if i had been charged multiple times to come back and he would sort it out. the lattes were very nice and i recommend this cafe! ☕️

Went after going to see a Christmas "Gospel Choir". There was no Choir but a couple of olde men playing a keyboard and the audience singing the Christmas songs! I was expecting to see a beautiful African Gospel Choir! Anyway, thought I would pop to cafe. Going in is a sign saying to wait to be seated. Boy looks at me as if "What do you want"?.. I ask for a table and was pointed towards one by a window. I didn't know whether it was table service or not, after going to the table and waiting... I then went back to ask him and he says you ga to order at the till. He should have said that before? Plus the place was full of annoying screaming kids!

Visited with my elderly parents, I wanted them to have a bite to eat whilst I walked the dog. Unfortunately not helpful with disabled customers. I had to ask the table next door for their menu. No help from staff at all. Nobody to assist with a disabled person ordering. You have to place your order at the till and take your drinks. Not great when you can’t hold a tray. I had to wait and assist them as no help from staff. Not able to exit the shorter way to the winter gardens and steps on decking to get down from cafe was a big hassle. Would be very difficult with a wheelchair. Would seem to be a nice cafe with young untrained staff who don’t want to help an elderly disabled person.

Today was my daughter's birthday, and with our friends we planned to have lunch outside in the park. I would like to note that there were many empty tables. We sat down and before ordering, I opened juice and gave it to the children. At that moment, a cafe worker ran up to us and in a very rude manner began to demand that we leave the table immediately. I tried to explain to her that we were planning to place an order right now and asked her to give us five minutes. to which she continued to demand to leave immediately. the children were absolutely shocked by her manners and my friends said that having lived in Scotland for several years they had never encountered such disgusting treatment. After such a welcome, of course, we immediately left. After that, I saw several families sitting in the cafe area with thermoses and food not from this cafe. I pointed this out to the cafe worker. The rules apparently did not apply to everyone. They found fault with us, perhaps because we are foreigners So if you decide to treat your children to the juice you brought with you at one of the empty tables of this wonderful cafe, be prepared to be treated like a beggar. I attached a photo to show the number of free tables at the moment when we were kicked out -:)

Our experience was not great with this café. Frankly I don’t understand why the only café in a big park is not dog friendly. There is a back part of the café connected to the gardens and an indoor entrance part both which would be ideal for dogs. It started pouring rain when we arrived and we were told to sit outside with no cover, at the very least maybe consider umbrellas. We didn’t enjoy or food as we were getting soaked and freezing. Maybe in the future you can consider becoming more dog friendly for all the poor dog walkers that would like a coffee when it starts to rain, it may also bring in more income. Until then, I won’t then returning.

We were fairly disappointed with a few things. Firstly arrived at the counter: 4 girls behind it, waited a significant enough time while they chatted before I was attended to, asked for eggs on toast and an omelette to be told at breakfast time there were no eggs. We decided to go for the avocado on toast, no avocado. We then went for bacon rolls each. The bacon had huge fatty rinds and was undercooked and not very hot. We won’t be rushing back. Sad as we will be spending more time there with our new puppy.

I regularly pop into the cafe to pick up a takeaway coffee, but can often be frustrated by how long the process takes. Other reviews have mentioned that up to four staff can be standing behind the counter at one time while only one takes orders - and this is still the case. If that one order is for a large table having lunch then you’ve no choice but wait while it happens. At least once I’ve had to leave without ordering as I’ve simply run out of time on a lunch break waiting. It could be so easily sorted - and it’s a shame. The coffees are among the best in town, but the service is definitely the least efficient.

Visited the park cafe in October. Nice pleasant surroundings. No problem there. However prices in the cafe for food were ridiculous. Plus drunks wise choice for kids poor. Why no milk for a child to drink on the menu instead of just juice? Plus £3.50 for a banana milk shake? Really? It's once again exploitation on a city scale. Most people who come to this park (or any other park in the country for that manner) come with their families, which includes their kids. Its not as if it doesn't have a healthy supply of people visiting the place. As I said. Lovely park, ruined by a overpriced hospitality which is a shame. I'm aware that businesses are all trying to pull back profits lost from the last 18 months by the pandemic. But it shouldn't be the excuse used to bump up prices to a ridiculous amount. Shame really. As its a lovely spot to enjoy a day out with your family.

Love the food here, really high quality, with decent pricing for the taste, good vegetarian/vegan options. Nice staff and really pleasant place to sit in, especially in the winter garden seating area. Due to staff ensuring covid measures are met, you are given a specific seat to sit at that has been cleaned before sitting you, which is sometimes a shame when you would like to pick your own seat (e.g. the winter garden area). Slightly noisy at peak hours but still a really nice place to go.

Was thankful today in the freeing cold with my toddler to see this cafe was open for a warm drink! Wasn't so pleased to be met with an almost standoffish male server. I went to the window and asked if they did kids got chocolates and he replied flatly "yes, they are all listed there" and gestured to the sign. Not that I struggle to read but there are people out there 1)who can't read so well or have poor vision or 2)actually just prefer to TALK to someone and ask a question. Felt that was rude and when looking away told me something about the pay machine (which end evidently to wireless tap on). When I clicked the wrong end he said, this time more with a tone "the other end" with little or no patience 👎 Entire experience lifted by the most amazing got chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows in the rain. Seriously, what hot chocolate do you guys use??

We had an hour to kill and decided to walk through the Gardens. There were automated paying toilets, but they didn't work and we lost our money without getting in to the facilities. However we spotted the Cafe and thought we could kill two birds with the one stone. The queue for food took ages - they seemed quite disorganised - and then we realised the scones we asked for ha been lying on the counter uncovered. We asked where their toilet was - they didn't have one! We were to use the public ones a few hundred yards away - we pointed out they weren't working and we'd already lost our money. It wasn't much but no point losing more. The member of staff just shrugged his shoulders. The coffee was hot, the scones huge but a little hard. BUT - are they allowed to serve food and not have a customer toilet? BEWARE!

We were just waiting for everyone to decide what they wanted when one of the staff came over and told us we couldn't stand in the cafe. It was torrential rain outside and we had a toddler with us and someone with cancer and on chemotherapy. She then proceeded to tell us with delight we couldn't stand under the cover to shelter as we were stopping customers from coming in. The cafe was empty and there was no one around in such bad weather. We think some staff training on good customer service and being a decent human being is essential in this place. If they had competition they would have to behave and change their bad attitude.

Food in main cafe lovely and with decent portion sizes. Although a few hours later we went to the icecream parlour bit and whilst the cakes were rather nice I was sorely disappointed with the size of the regular coffee. The cups were TINY... half the coffee was foam (we did order a cappuccino so we were expecting some foam) but there was not even a mouthful of coffee at the bottom of the cup. I won't be back here. The food was nice but the (British) staff are downright rude. The only polite member if staff we encountered was Polish, and she was great but the others serving at the counter are rude, truculent and not can't even get...

We were here last week for early afternoon coffee and a scone and pancake. The pancake was very large and tasty. The scone was slightly over done. The biggest criticism was the smallest cups of coffee around - get some mugs and add some water...

Great cafe with a vast selection of cakes and coffee. The staff were friendly and found the atmosphere nice and relaxing. With a great view of the park, this cafe is in a perfect location. Definitely worth the visit.

We went here for a coffee on a wet day after a visit to the Winter Gardens. My first visit since the reopening of the cafe. This visit was a Sunday, the staff looked like they might be students rather than full time. Unfortunately having...

Overpriced for the quality and service provided. No care for quality of food. Ordered a BLT, bacon was cold and clearly refrigerated instead of cooked fresh. Coffee was decent for UK standards. Staff weren't happy or cheerful at all, definitely seemed to not want to be there.

We visited this Costa this afternoon after what had been a long tiresome day hoping to get a nice coffee before our journey home. There were dirty tables and when we asked a member of staff to clean one so we could sit down we got a mouthful of abuse. So we left and went upstairs to the Pret a Manger which was much busier but they had nice clean tables and welcoming staff. Will not be visiting Costa again but would definitely recommend the Pret a Manger if you are visiting the Bon Accord Centre!

Personnel très sympa. Chocolat chaud aussi délicieux que d'habitude. Dommage qu'il n'y avait pas beaucoup de place...

Have been to the coffee shop with friends twice recently. The first time was in the afternoon on a Saturday and we didn't realise that the coffee shop closed at 3pm! The assistant closed up and started vacuuming but did not rush us away and we stayed for another half hour chatting. It is a shame it is not open a bit longer. The second time we went in the morning and the coffee shop was busier. There are quite a number of tables so plenty places to sit. Both times the staff were pleasant. and the coffee shop clean. The scones are very nice. Would come back again.

Delicious warm blueberry muffin and an apple and cinnamon muffin here for breakfast. Coffee, however, not good, tasted like dishwater, so neither of us finished our drinks. Would visit again for muffins but not coffee. Toilet out of order, but used for staff to change. Staff friendly.
