The Park in Liverpool

We travelled from Glasgow to Basingstoke and went for a Liverpool FC stadium tour on the way. After tour, we went to this pub for a pint, next door to the Anfield stadium. I've never seen anything like it... Cash only. Everything stained - chairs, carpets... Sticky tables. Benches in pieces, completely broken. Have been given an incredibly dirty empty glass, asked for replacement and been given one as dirty as the first one. Place is falling apart, it stinks badly. I genuinely believe if someone would have a poo in the middle of this pub, people wouldn't even notice. It honestly looked like a room from the movie "Saw". I should have get some beer from an Esso garage next door (where I had to go to get cash from anyway) and drink it on a bench. Disgusting place, avoid at all cost

Surprised with the 4.5 stars that this place has on Google… For some reason this place only accepts cash, but this isn’t an issue. The issue is the unhygienic-ness of the whole place, as we entered there was an old smell, the carpets looked like they haven’t been washed in years, the tables were sticky and every single cup was dirty… It only looked like they were rinsed, not actually washed… The whole place needs a total makeover to be brung up to proper standards, especially since they are so close to a stadium, you would expect the Pub to try harder. This was our first and last time here.

Iv never been so embarrassed of my roots. Sitting watching game. Australian visitors yes Australia have been spoken to with so much disrespect and arrogance by the barmaid. They didn't have cash just card and sign saying cash only. The barmaid aggressively told them you can't sit here you need to buy a drink. And it wasn't donein a quite way. My husband went bar a d bought them a drink. A really feel ashamed I have apologised to them and have explained not everyone is that way. One of their girlfriends walked in with a can of coke in hand and got told get out with that. There visitors to our city they don't know what's not excepted. They had also travelled from London for a day In Liverpool and a tour of Enfield.

I first got into it before Liverpool vs Brighton. Quiet environment four_ five hours before the match. I met a very nice couple from Toronto who were touring the UK. Good service. I was yesterday before Liverpool vs Bournemouth. I came in around 1045am. All calm. Then little by little it becomes bedlam. Excellent service. Located behind the KOP. Wonderful. I will be back on August 25, 2024.

After the tour the local pub over the road is open I do hope this get rammed on match days the bar staff were very polite n friendly had a few locals in plus the pool table was busy the pub seemed to be in high spirits the locals seemed friendly enough but to be on the doorstep of anfield must be a dream some of the sports photos were up on the wall were amazing to see.

Typical pub right next to Anfield Road Stadium. Simply. English. Just like you would expect a pub to be. A good mood before a football game, of course. Nice staff and fair prices.

If your are a Liverpool supporter this is a must. The atmosphere from the Kop fans must be seen and heard. The staff are good and hilarious with their banter Busy, and I mean really busy but everyone is polite and smiling Really reasonable prices and small area at rear, could be a bit nicer but this cannot deter from the atmosphere Will return!

I was there on match day vs Burnley which made the day and atmosphere better (for me) And I Being The 'shy' lad I am started 5 lfc chants including YNWA and fields of Anfield Road and the crowd went with me it was the time of my life so I have to give it a fair rating (5stars) it made my day for me going over on my birthday And it's the last Time I'll Be There To Watch klopp in 1st person perspective So thank you

Ordered chicken, it came lukewarm Staff grumpy, carvery is poor. This used to be a lovely place put has really gone down hill.

Been on matchday & very busy so good atmosphere. On non-matchday its a quiet little boozer with a pool table

Ottime birre, servizio veloce, atmosfera amichevole. E quando guardi fuori vedi lo Stadio di Anfield. Non so cosa si possa chiedere di più ad un Pub. 👍

Warm, friendly Liverpool pub right across from the football grounds. Spacious smoking area out at the back and good price for a pint under five quid.

The best pub in Liverpool, if you want pre match atmosphere then look no further than The Park, I travel over from Ireland many times a season and go in before ever match. 10/10

What an excellent and friendly atmosphere before the Liverpool match at Anfield. Live music and singing, creating an excellent atmosphere. We enjoyed it and the lady who is the manager or boss kicked out some photographer because he didn’t ask for permission to come in and photograph in their business. She was amazing she took no bull lol loved that! Definitely a must for a beer and a cheer before kick off.

Great place for a few pints before the game and to feel the love and respect for the mighty Liverpool FC . Another visit to Anfield and of course a couple of beers in this great pub. Not sure when it was recently refurbished but it looks awesome.

Was there on the 7th of May and have a mixed review. I have been here before and found the atmosphere to be good and staff to be good. I was let down last weekend with a bar lady, that was so rude to not only me, but many. She had no interest being there. Girl had glasses, wore shorts.

This is a friendly pub, everyone is so relaxed here, it's opposite the cop do it's very busy come match days, staff r friendly here also

Love this place. I'm a Scouser that lives outside the city nowadays but always drop into The Park for a pint or 3 when I visit. Amazing staff and amazing history. YNWA.

Staff absolutely rude I went to the bar to buy a bootle of water to take home after the match as I live close to the stadium and I was walking home with my daughter, the lady in bar said the bar shuts for 11pm but was lots of people inside the pub because when I asked for the water bootle was 11.02pm and she was refusing to understand that I had a child with me and I just wanted a bootle of water I asked if was possible to speak with the manager when the manager came before she reaches me in bar she Was shouting saying WHATS HER PROBLEM i felt so embarrassed that the staff was all laughing at me I just said leave it. But for sure I will never step there again and I think the owner of this business should give some training for costumer services because was an absolute disgrace and unprofessional.

Great warm up environment for a game, have a sing along and soak up the energy before a game. All within a stones throw of the stadium, definitely a place to come before the game.

5/7일 리버풀 대 바르셀로나 챔피언스 리그 경기 준 결승 2차전 리버풀 홈 구장인 안필드에서 경기가 있었고 나는 5/8일 아이슬란드로 떠나야 하기 때문에 하루만 머무는거라 현금인 파운드가 없었는데, Pub 직원들이 한참 바쁜 경기 하프 타임 때 맥주를 마시고 싶은 마음에 유로나 크레딧 카드로 결제가 되냐고 물어봤으나 그녀는 현금만 된다면서 외국인인 나에게 어디서 왔냐고 물어본 후 거리낌 없이 맥주 한잔을 무료로 건네주었다. 리버풀 fc 팬인 나는 감사하다는 말과 함께 외투 안에 입은 리버풀 fc 유니폼을 보여줬더니 또 한번 방문하라고 덕담을 주었던 Pub 주인인 제퍼슨 아주머니. May 7 Liverpool vs Barcelona Champions League semi-finals 2nd leg Liverpool was home to Anfield, and I will left for Iceland on May 8, so I did not have a pound of cash. I wanted to drink beer and i asked if I could pay with euros or credit cards, but when she asked a foreigner for me “where are you from?” and she handed me a beer for free. I am a Liverpool fc fan and I am thankful that I showed Liverpool fc uniforms in a my jacket inside and then a lady owner Jefferson who gave me an excuse to visit again.
