Terrible service on Saturday 15th March. I went for a birthday lunch and arrived early so went to the bar for a drink. There were 4 members of staff behind the bar chatting amongst themselves / seemingly doing non-important tasks like rearranging glasses. I waited for at least 3 minutes whilst being ignored before I said 'excuse me is anyone actually going to serve me?' and I was met with a quick witted rude remark 'in a minute'. When we sat down for our food we ordered drinks with the waiter and then 30 seconds later a second waiter came over to take our drinks order - we explained we had just ordered them and he snapped back in a sarcastic tone 'well i'm the one with the iPad'. They were playing football on the large screen at maximum volume so it was almost impossible to hear each other, we kindly asked if they could turn it down and he said it wasn't possible. 20 minutes later we asked someone else and she literally just turned it off by the plug. When the food arrive (I ordered a soft shell crab burger) it was very disappointing. A small plate with a burger similar to McDonalds and nothing like soft shell more like an overcooked fried and dry burger with chewy bits and lacking any flavour - it was inedible and after 2 bites it had to be sent back to the kitchen. The location is good and the venue building is nice but the staff are completely disinterested and some of them should not be working in hospitality if they cannot smile or deal with complaints in a professional manner. I would not recommend this venue and will not be going back.

Came here last week. Food was OK, but small portions for the price. We ordered 2 cups of herbal tea after our meal and were then told they had run out, so we ordered a second bottle of water. On checking the receipt at home I realised we had been charged for the tea and the extra water (we weren't given an itemised bill when we paid) so emailed asking for a refund of £7. Still waiting... Note to self, ask for an itemised bill. The staff were lovely but seemed a bit chaotic.

Food bad, service slow and there was a hair in a person's meal. Not worth the money. An insult to the concept of food. It's a great venue, lots of character, in London Kings Cross station. Food tasted great, but parts of my meal were missing. It's such a shame. This was a christmas set menu, I had Sea Bream, which was perfectly pan-fried. Buttery mash, which was smooth and buttery. 1.5 Brussels, which I felt was an insufficient serving of veg! I was supposed to have samphire and lemon dill butter, which was nowhere to be seen, and I asked if I could have sauce, to which the waiter said no!!! How rude! This was a christmas set menu, and the venue was busy. Anyway, the rest was great.

We went and had the festive meal here 2 weeks prior to Christmas. From the time we booked to the day of the meal the service and the way we were treated was absolutely horrendous. I will never book to eat there ever again. We got emails to confirming deposit were taken per person and asking for meal selections but were told the whole party had to select similar choices for timing purposes. When said we couldn't because of dietary purposes were told that not possible. One of of party got covid the 48hrs prior to booking (we all work in nhs hospitals) and was told that we could not cancel, that covid is not a thing anymore and that we would have to pay for the whole meal not just have our deposit taken. Then when arriving at the table it was set for 1 less person and were not brought out the extra meal. So basically we were paying for them to keep the food back. The service was awful and the food was below average. Do not book here especially the festive menu.

I'm sorry but the food was just awful. We went to this restaurant and all of our meals were just shocking. My friend ordered a snitzel, which had its corner cut off to "check whether it's well done". Another friend ordered pumpkin soup - it was first delivered completely cold, then when they heated it up, it was just colored water with a lot of oil. I ordered the vegetarian sweet potato and cheddar hash - it wasn't a hash, but a mush mostly comprised of onions. The dish included a poached egg, which was really hardboiled. The servers were very nice. Overall seems like a cash grab for people waiting around the King's Cross station, not like a place that's trying to get you to come back. I paid 15 pounds for a meal that was just awful. I'd say stay away. Might be really nice as a pub, though very overpriced.

Went here for a Christmas dinner and was very disappointed. I've had some lovely roasts at other Fullers pubs but the portion size and quality of food were both lacking, especially for £41 for 2 courses! It arrived part lukewarm, part cold and there was no yorkshire pudding, 1 tiny disc of stuffing, 1 tiny pig in blanket, 1 of each vegetable and a single slice of dry turkey. The pub itself was nice, with a good atmosphere, but there are much better Christmas dinners elsewhere! Avoid

We visited the venue this evening (03/12/24) for a meal with friends. The food was ok -we have had food here before and knew what to expect-, but the ravioli dish listed under the mains, was ridiculously and unacceptably small to the tune of seven small raviolis for £16. I know about pubs and I can confidently say this is an example of something I'd call the 'worst pub in London'. What do I want in a pub? Good cask beer. Negative. Really cold, around 10°C, and uninspiring Knowledgeable and engaged staff. Nope. The only interaction I had was when they were shoving me and telling (not asking) me to move. Comfortable environment. Nah. Remember the fashion in the early 2000s for feng shui? The Parcel Yard doesn't. Tables like a school canteen with random rooms tacked on. No clear route from entrance to bar to seating. Chaos Nice customers. Unfortunately not. Sure most are reasonable humans but they shove, demand to move seats to spaces where they don't fit, and mill around because there's no space to congregate. I can't blame them, if I'd paid those prices I'd want a butler and a maid to cater to my every need. Reasonably priced. Absolutely not. Beer is eye wateringly pricey and the food is Michelin star prices at Greggs standard. I know hospitality is struggling but this place extracts the absolute urine. This pub shows what it means to put money above everything, giving zero effs about repeat custom because their main customers will be a few hundred miles away before they see their credit card bill. I've had better evenings in A&E breaching the 4 hour wait target

Got handed the card machine to pay for my food and the screen said "tip: 0", but when I looked at the bill they'd already added 12.5% on. I've got no problem tipping (the food was dry and overpriced, but that's what you expect in a pub at KX), but I don't like when they try and trick you. Ironically I was going to tip more until I saw the bill. Fair play for them being a tourist trap, but there's way better and cheaper places within 2 mins walk. Bar staff were great though!

Located at the heart of KIng's Cross, The Parcel Yard is an unexpected delight. The mix of people as you enter reminds you you're in one of the cities largest train stations. As my best friend was waiting for her train we got small plates, the soup of the day which the lovely waiter informed me was tomato and the potatoes with gravy, the luxury like experience sets it aside from the typical food court vibes in train stations allowing you to fully relax at a time that's typically very stressful. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, which detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable time. Additionally, the quality of the Guinness left much to be desired—it was far below the standard I expected. When it did come back (10 mins later) they brought eggs royale and eggs florentine). Sent one back. And the eggs Royale…one egg was completely hard boiled.    And I mean hard boiled (almost blue in places). They eventually brought the eggs Benedict.    Had to eat it in 30 seconds because of our train. Staff were apologetic but no offer of recompense until we demanded (just the eggs royale due to the hard boiled egg). Became an absolute farce.   An embarrassment to the Fullers brand. A large group of us booked a room here for lunch. Several items were unavailable by 13.00! I wanted to try the sausage and mash, but had to settle for pie instead. If you like freshly baked pies, look away now. The tiny steak pie did not have golden and appealing pastry, but a rock-hard dark brown carapace. It looked like it had been kept hot for a several days and it tasted like this, too. This tiny, tiny pie was very dry. It arrived with a smear of tepid mashed potatoes which had a stiff, thin hard layer on top. The promised “greens” were creamed cabbage and peas. The cabbage was nice and quite easy to find once I worked my way through the miserly teaspoonful of peas. These were also tepid. The cost of this excellent example of pub cooking was an amazing £21.00 I shan’t return. Don’t order the pie.

They advertise bookings, there was 7 different F1 bookings on different tables watching the Monaco GP, a group of Leeds fans walked in and the staff changed the channel putting the Leeds game on, everyone complained and ended up standing downstairs for 10 minutes waiting for a resolution, we ended up leaving and moved to the Euston Flyer after a phone call who confirmed they were showing the F1. We had a few cocktails prior to leaving which were good but very slow on being delivered. Food was great however the menu was not available, it took us 5 attempts to order food before finding something they actually had. If you just want a pint before a train then this place is perfect, if you're going for motorsports I wouldn't bother it's highly likely you will be dissapointed. Best part of £100 spent only to be dissapointed.

Asked for 2 vodka and cokes, half larger shandy, prosecco and tonic water. Vodka in very large glass absolutely full to top with coke so might as well have ordered cokes as couldnt taste vodka, served pint larger shandy instead of half. £73. Queried bill and was told policy was service charge added on orders over £25. Wasnt like it was waiter service, went to bar myself. Refused to pay service charge. Felt like I was being ripped off. Bill still £63.80. How can they justify almost £10 service charge for pouring drinks.

Note the opening hours. This place closes well before the last trains depart. Many of us have just been turned away at 21.30 on a Sunday. Not good enough for a main line station bar where the trains are still running for a few hours yet.

Expensive and pointless. A bar at a train station that shuts before 2300

Tis OK for a station boozer. Service was quick since the bar was quiet, lad serving didnt give off the vibe he wanted to be there, tis pricy at near £8 a pint of lager. Out side tables hadnt been cleaned, was glasses left on tables and rubbish on the floor when paying premium prices thses things matter.

Over £20 for a double vodka and soft drink and a pint. Come on. No wonder pubs are closing down

If you're a wine lover, this pub also has an impressive selection of reds, whites, and sparkling wines to choose from. The staff is knowledgeable about each wine's origin and flavor profile, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for your meal or simply enjoy a glass on its own.

We went for breakfast after a busy weekend. Well priced for spoons in London. Was busy with it being Mothers Day but drinks and food arrived quickly. Staff were friendly, and cleared plates away quickly when we were finished. Toilets were clean. Thanks for a good experience.

This bar is ideally positioned for anyone living, working, or commuting near Great Portland Street. Modern spacious bar with outside seating. Pleased to say the service has massively improved from the below 3 years ago! I arrived here on a Thursday night, which was busy (Thursday is the new Friday!) but the staff were not able to cope. Not sure if short staffed or lack of training but either way there was a long wait for drinks. Manager was very apologetic.

Visité aquí con la familia hace un par de semanas. El personal amable y el servicio fue rápido. La comida llegó rápidamente y nos quedamos de postre también! ¡Puedo recomendar el brownie de S'mores! Volveré a visitar pronto!

Typical Spoons, older guys having their pints early in the morning! We had breakfast, a breakfast muffin and breakfast wrap, tasty and good portions, arrived in a reasonable time. Hot chocolate/coffee with free refills. Friendly staff.
