Attentive service, and tasty food - we love coming here for something a little different. Good selection to meet dietary preferences (+ picky eaters!)

We were really excited to visit this place, but it was really disappointing. The wait staff acted as though they were doing us a favour. Had to flag someone to take the order, when I asked if he was the waiter he said "sure" and shrugged. My companion ordered the Dubai chocolate pancake and hers was very good. I ordered the berry compote and it was essentially inedible. Far too sour to palate, about 90% cranberry.

Would 100% recommend. Great place!

First time here in many years. Not what it used to be. Under the glossy new refurbishment, the pancakes were not as tasty as they were and now served on large plastic plates (not the large porcelain plates they used to have) Would not come back as there are probably better places to have pancakes in London

Huge pancakes, massive menu and heat atmosphere.

I went with my family for a birthday meal. The atmosphere was amazing along with the food. There was too much to choose from, so I picked two. Smoked Duck (smoked duck breast, mixed peppers, spring onions, mushrooms & hoi sin sauce) & Pear & Cinnamon with a few extras. Both were tremendous

Came to celebrate our friends’s birthday and the service made all the difference to our experience. Ionut was super warm, welcoming and accommodating helping us manage and celebrate our friends birthday. The food was good - very filling and scrumptious!

Unique Pancake and Poffertjes restaurant. Good service and little wait for the food from a wide range of choices, but now not Hawaian!

Very tasty and varied. The service is somewhat intrusive, which spoils the overall impression of the food.

We ordered Poffertjes and Waffles. Everything took a while, which is OK given how busy it was at the time. The staff seemed quite overwhelmed though they were still doing their best to accommodate everyone. Food-wise things were quite disappointing. The Poffertjes came totally drown in a pool of compote, and by they time they reached our table they were all totally soggy. Still the taste was OK, I can imagine they could be nice if served in a different way. The waffles were really not OK at all, sadly. They were as if they were bought ready-made, then put in a microwave and then let to cool again. Maybe we were unlucky, but I don't think we'll be going again.

I ordered a crepe which came deconstructed and I had to put everything on myself. When I asked her if they could drizzle the sauce over the crepe as the Nutella solidifies in the paper cup she said they can’t. I couldn’t get the chocolate over the crepe so it was a plain bland crepe. The waitress put the plate on the table and the Ferrari rocher fell onto the table and she didn’t apologise or replace it. The service was atrocious along with the food. I will never go back here again. How disappointing!!

What’s not to love? Pancakes whichever way you want them. And they’re HUGE! Yum!

I had a great experience here. We did a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon. We loved the shakes and sweet pancakes. The savoury pancakes were good but the other 2 dishes were absolutely amazing.

Whilst the inside of this place is "instagram worthy" and the decor is nice, I do not think the food here is worth it. Me and my partner ordered a large nutella pancake to share and we were pretty disappointed. The pancake arrived without the Nutella on it, and instead was in a tiny cardboard pot where we had to pour it on ourselves. This made it very awkward to spread the Nutella properly and even get it out of the pot. This is part of the reason we removed the service charge, simply because the pancake was not fully prepared for us to eat, especially for the price. Overall it tasted very mediocre and not worth the money at all. The staff here are also very disinterested and not the most welcoming which is a shame. When we entered, we were asked if we had a reservation which we didn't. This seemed like a hassle but we were shown to a table, despite half the place being empty anyway. Nobody was very friendly or chatty and it was truly just the bare minimum of service here. Again, we chose not to pay the service fee because of this.

We came here expecting really nice pancakes! We were asked if we had a reservation by a disgruntled employee who then reluctantly found us a table after we said no, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. The pancake we ordered was just a big crepe and the bought the topping in a paper bowl thing rather than on the pancake. The ice cream had also pretty much melted onto the pancake. Also we had Nutella which basically didn't pour well and basically half of it was still in the paper bowl but we couldn't get any more out. Also there was so little compared to the size of the pancake. My friend had nachos and there was so much cheese he basically had more cheese than nachos and also the salsa etc was not poured on it either.

Went here for breakfast, and was really Dissapointed with the whole experience. Ordered bacon and maple syrup pancakes and my partner ordered something else she got hers and 20 minutes later I’m still sitting there with a bowl of bacon infront of me I asked the waiter about the pancakes and he said he miss understood ( Wich is fine mistakes happen) mine came out about 5 minutest later clearly rushed and soggy. Ate it anyway got the bill and they had charged me for everything INCLUDING a “optional” service charge that I had zero say in. The staff where pretty rude about them making a mistake and shocked there was nothing done about it

A gem of a breakfast spot, delicious Dutch pancakes with a large variety of options for toppings and excellent service. Very friendly!

Greeted with a smile at the door, then nothing but glum faces! Something has changed for the worse, used to be quite good. Pancakes were raw around the edges, kitchen was not busy. Waffles were ok. Drinks were ok. Mostly empty tables and still service was very slow, took 20 mins for someone to come over and take our order. Food arrived quickly, but mostly raw, told that's how they came! We decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Not worth the wait, much nicer places for lunch almost everywhere on London!

This was my worst experience at any My Old Dutch restaurant by far. I have only ever used 1 other location, but due to being within the vicinity, I decided to try the High Holborn restaurant. Biggest mistake ever. I had asked for the buttermilk pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. My amendments to this order were that the eggs be made without milk and be “well done” (i.e cooked more than usual). My usual location ALWAYS accommodates these requests. This location couldn’t be bothered. Not only is it a dietary requirement for me to avoid milk where possible (mostly in yogurt, eggs, desserts, etc), but I am also pregnant and the gastrointestinal distress is incredibly painful when these things are not done. The Server mentioned that the milk could not be avoided, but did say that the eggs could be made well-done, which would have been sufficient. The eggs were far from well -done. It was more like egg soup on my plate, which had run onto the bacon and pancakes. I tried to avoid the egg as much as possible, only having a few mouthfuls and leaving 4/5ths of the plate intact. The only reason I had stayed at the restaurant was because I was in pain from walking, feeling faint from having not eaten, and had a bad headache. Reflecting on it now, I should have left. The bill was paid in full (minus the service charge as per the request of my company), and we left. I had a bad stomach ache from the food a couple hours later. I think High Holborn should be ashamed of not accommodating people’s dietary requirements. You’re a restaurant. Do better.

Bright cheery cafe perfect for a mid afternoon snack or breakfast with choices of crepes, pancakes or waffles. Service is very friendly and efficient! Glad they have salad as a choice on their menu

Other pancake houses in London have undercooked our pancakes. My fiancée only trusts My Old Dutch with her pancake needs. I suspect she might be addicted 🤭 Everything here has been delicious, and the decor is fun, too! We have been here for breakfast, brunch, dinner, and dessert. They have a pancake for every occasion.

So we got the Dutch poffertjes which were a 6/10 and the gluten free pancake was a 2/10 (it was raw and it’s a crepe not a pancake?) . I thought it was quite a popular place they should at least have smaller cuter packaging that people can eat on the go as we’re walking in central London, we were given the food in gigantic industrial silver trays. Asides that the strawberries were humongous and should have been cut smaller. Prices are good and service is excellent just few things need improving on. Chocolate isn’t even poured on top of food just put in a pot and solidifies quickly.

Dreadful. The only thing worse than the bland and overpriced food was the terrible service. I arrived the the restaurant five minutes before opening on Thursday, March 27. Instead of being allowed to wait in the lobby, the host made me wait outside for genuinely no reason. I understand making somone wait if they arrive 15 minutes before opening, but 5? I've worked in restaurants before and this is a no-no. During the meal, the same host decided to sit 3 tables right next to each other when the rest of the place was completely empty. Again, restaurants have seating zones--fine. But cramming guests next to each other is not a best practice. He was also cold, inattentive, and completely disinterested. Don't waste your time or money at this place.

The staff here are incredible, we ran an event here and the service was excellent with delicious pancakes at generous portion sizes. The decoration of the space is truly wonderful, perfect for pictures!

Nice place for someone has sweet tooth delicious pancakes, we had two orders which cost us 41 pounds with smoothie which is just ice, service cost was high taste was worth the money though

Decent visit to My Old Dutch Holborn- The savoury pancake, ‘My old Dutch’ was a treat. However the sweet buttermilk pancake wasn’t as good, the pancakes didn’t taste the freshest or fluffiest. Service was overall okay.

Went here for birthday breakfast! We got savoury pancakes and we ordered prosecco as we wanted mimosas… they didn’t have that as an option so we made our own! The plates are massive for the pancakes so they moved us to a bigger table which was nice! Pancakes were lovely and were tatsy! Highly recommended!!!!

Dutch Pancake House, in Holborn, which I’ve been going to for years. A wide choice of savoury or sweet pancakes and waffles, with some original and interesting fillings. I ordered the asparagus savoury pancake, with olives and mushrooms, which was huge and very tasty. Also had the Oreo milkshake which was also good. Highly recommended My Old Dutch, if you’re looking for somewhere Central, that offers good quality food at a reasonable price.

A Fan of MOD for the last 9 years and a regular visitor. Over the years their portion size has gone down but the taste is still pretty much the same. Their classics are the best to go for in comparison to their new recipes they come up with. Love the food but giving 3 because of shrinkflation Service was soooooo slow Had a great vibe. Their Monday pancake deal is still on so best to go on a Monday to save some 💷

I loved the person welcomed us. He was full of energy. We tried waffles - they tasted really good but nothing special. The plate is really big, so it could be shared. It could be smaller and cheaper as the menu prizes were out of this world!

My wife and I have eaten here for over 30 years, originally with our own kids. This time, we also took the next generation. Great choice of pancakes - savoury and sweet. We had not made reservations, and there were seven of us. But the staff made place for us. We had a great time and the food was excellent.

Used to come here quite a bit as a student, but don’t think it’s worth it anymore - non attentive staff, long wait for food, okay food, pricey and loads of tourists

Delicious pancakes, with lots of options for savoury and sweet pancakes, as well as vegan and gluten free options! The restaurant is beautifully decorated but a bit cramped. Would highly recommend making a booking as it can get quite busy, their online booking system is easy to use. There were a few mix-ups with our order but they were easily resolved and the staff were friendly and helpful (if a bit rushed as it was so busy!)

One of my favourite spots in London. So many options to choose from and good ‘free from’ options for anyway who may need it. Staff are always attentive and polite, big fan!

After a few attempts I update. The My Old Dutch was ok, but for me the Amsterdam was the best: apple, bacon and maple syrup, just like in Amsterdam. The hot dutch was also good, but be careful that the jalapeños are spicy. Kaseballen almost better than in Amsterdam (fried cheese balls). Every Monday, discounted price for most classic pancakes. (Pancake Monday). Various options for gluten free, veg and dairy free. The sweet section is yet to be tried. For Italians and Japanese, this is not a crepe or an American pancake. They are Dutch pancakes, they are made thin on purpose これはクレープじゃなくて、普通にオランダで食べている名物のパンケーキです。

They didn't observe the "PANCAKE POWER" codeword that I gave them upon entry and take off 20%.

Cosy and cheerful place with fab decor and tasty treats! We spent a chilled couple of hours here for brunch. Service was brilliant. Atmosphere was good and the food was filling and tasty.

Vlaznim was really nice and helpful

Never tried the savoury optipn but I enjoyed my gluten free and vegan pancake (crepe style) with fruit and syrup. And a large pot of green tea which went down a treat!

We ate Full English and Meat Feast, it was really great. Huge, delicious and filling! It goes very well with garlic and spicy olive oil. Polite employees and nice service. The interior design is very beautiful and enjoyable. Thank you.

I had My Old Dutch and Vegan Berry Blah, and 'My Old Dutch' was really delicious! It’s great to eat with chili sauce and Tabasco sauce! Vllaznim & Ionut who provided service were really friendly, which made it even better! 🙂
