Very decent micro pub, offering an excellent selection of cask and craft beer, ale & stout! It was a bright sunny day so we sat in the garden, with the barman bringing out our drinks, as is the norm in micro pubs. The regulars were nice and friendly too. I'm looking forwards to my next visit!!

Well it managed to get through Covid and actually helped itself by creating and outside (under canvas), area to be comply with the regulations, which now as helped to expand the accommodation, so you can choose to drink outside or indoors (in the the original area). Prices have increased, that is inevitable, especially now with the fuel escalation and has to be excepted. Every business has to adapt to market forces, outside factors and change to survive, and this establishment has ridden the storm, and come through. 👍 (01/06/22). Great beer. Great service. Great crowd of locals. I loved my visit. Every Canadian (like myself) and everyone else for that matter should steer a course for the Paper Mill. You'll be well taken care of by all.

Absolutely horrible pub, asked politely to use to toilet as a pregnant woman and was very, infact, disgustingly spoken to by a man with glasses who went behind me grabbed the door and shouted at me to leave unless i bought a can of coke for £2.50. Absolutely horrific . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Would definitely not go here if you are a woman as this establishment is full of self absorbed , beer drinking , horrid men.

Best pub I’ve been to in years, exactly what a good one should be. Really good selection of local and craft beers, owners definitely know what good beer is. Had never been before and within half an hour I was bursting out laughing with a group of new friends. Really good vibes, looking forward to coming back

There's something very special about a proper pub like The Paper Mill Micropub, like stepping back in time it's a lovely venue that stands tall for its beer and amazing use of such a small space.. The main room is so small it doesn't even have a bar, drinks are ordered from the bar staff who can tell you from experience what beers you could try from a basic comment that "I like ales and things like doombar.."I ended up with a lovely lager with a subtle smoked flavour. I then threw caution to the wind with an amazingly unusual Strawberry sour ale that just shows the range. Both times I have been here it's been for gigs and unbelievably in a room that cannot be any more than 20ft square we managed to park 30 people and a band... there was even room for an awesome regular who is in a wheelchair. If you are ever in Sittingbourne for a visit then make sure to try the place, you never know it might be quiz night, crib night or a room full of nutters listening to some folk punk. but whatever night it will be a good pint

Lovely little micropub, which from the outside looks very uninviting, however once inside it is a lovely place to visit. The barman was very helpful in giving information on the beers available and even offered a taster before you ordered. It's a great place to speak to locals and we had some very interesting conversations while we were there.

Not my first visit here and the Paper Mill seemed to have changed quite a lot. Firstly, we were sat outside in a large gazebo. There didn't seem to be the option of sitting inside but it was a late summer day and this wasn't a problem. Maybe they were decorating or maybe the barman preferred to have everyone outside while the weather was OK. Secondly, I always remember the PM as a proper old school micropub with a healthy emphasis on cask beer. Now it's gone down the "craft beer" path with a wide range of fancy keg beers and just two real ales (and one of those was fashionably opaque and soft tasting). Still worth hunting out the PM off Sittingbourne's (dubious) beaten track.

A lot of work has been done to make outside drinking as comfortable as possible with decent rain cover and powerful heating. The beers were in exceptional condition if a little on the pale side for my taste. There is also a very wide range of interesting craft ales in bottles and cans. Finally the owners are happy for you to collect food from the chippy and chinese next door to eat in their garden. Lovely.

Very small and cramped with a sweaty musty smell that frankly made me feel sick. I found the furniture very uncomfortable. There were several beers to choose from but I wasn't impressed really. Neither was I of the staff. The landlady I found very rude and a little odd. When I asked about a certain beer she snapped at me yet no less than 15 mins later she was nice a pie, very strange. I won't be going again, poor effort for a pub.

This micro pub is a unique experience which I cannot compare to anywhere I've been before. Wonderful owner with a genuine passion for community spirit which is reflected in this fantastic pub. Always a fantastic beer selection and you feel like you're at home around such wonderful patrons

Always a pleasure to drop into the Papermill in Sittingbourne whene'er I visit the town. Good quality, mainly Goachers beer but that's not a problem as they brew excellent ale, fine and friendly service and a communal atmosphere. Sorry no pics but trust me, if you are in Sittingbourne and enjoy good beer and a convivial crowd, then go. I thoroughly recommend.

Where Sittingbourne lacks in its ale availability, the Paper Mill takes up the slack. From the great welcome as you walk in to the wide selection on offer, this will be the only place I frequent over the next 12 monthly visits. Locals are lovely and the beer is kept well. I only need this pub for the next year. Thank you guys.

Went here for my last night in the UK and met some very interesting folks from around Kent and had light, yet engaging conversations! Tried the brews up on the board (they keep changing) and was pleasantly surprised by most of them (tasted a bit of everything). You can bring your own fish (or white bait) and chips from next door to eat here too!

What a great place! Fine selection of beers and cider you probably haven't had anywhere else, served by people who know their stuff. No music, fruit machines and all that unnecessary guff. Just good company. Recommended for sociable drinkers.

This is a great little pub, the best in Sittingbourne. Not only great beer but a great atmosphere, the staff are really good and knowledgeable about the beers they are serving. The place also has some of the friendliest customers and there is always something to talk about. Try it out!

Being bored and Frustrated by the normal high street pub selling mass produced beer and lager, I was happy when I friend invited me out to a micropub. Being a lover of quality ales I have to say I was quite excited. This really is a micro pub. The main lounge is small but cosy, and tastefully decorated with surprisingly comfortable high benched round the outside. Anyway to the main star here, the Beers and Ciders. On the night we attended Beers available included Goachers Mild, Goachers Fine Light (from Maidstone), Wantsum 1381, plus ciders and an amazing warm cider. Beers were all of a very good standard and are obviously cared for, the service was friendly as was the company during the evening. Highly recommend this place to beer lovers.
