I can’t recommend The Pantry highly enough! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The Gail goes above and beyond to ensure every customer feels valued, whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time. The food is absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There’s something to suit every taste, and everything is presented beautifully and on hot plates! It’s the kind of place where you can tell a lot of thought and love has gone into creating the menu. What makes The Pantry even more special is their open-door policy for everyone – including our four-legged friends! It’s so refreshing to find a spot where dogs are not only allowed but genuinely welcomed. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and soak up the friendly vibe. A visit to Blandford Forum wouldn’t be complete without stopping by The Pantry. Fantastic food, excellent service, and a warm welcome for all – humans and dogs alike!

What a lovely experience. Food and service were great at a decent price. Would recommend to anyone for sure. What was really lovely was the general vibe, whether you are going with a family, or want to siut down with someone to do some work - the place seems to be able to provide for all.

We’ve been dropping in at the Pantry at the Grainstore with our two lovely black labs for coffee and for breakfast since it opened. The food is great, always delicious and cooked to order. The welcome for humans and dogs alike, is warm and friendly. Already one of our favourite places. Yesterday we went along for a Sunday lunch, a new offering. It was delicious. Simple and perfect, just as Sunday lunch should be. It’s great to support such an enterprising couple in such a wonderful new (ish) local enterprise! Can’t recommend highly enough. 😊

We were looking for a dog-friendly place to stop for breakfast while enjoying a weekend away and are so glad we found the Pantry. The breakfast was superb, lovely coffee, the staff were very friendly and it was excellent value for money. It was so good we went back the next day!

Best real coffee!! We enjoyed great food especially the tastiest sausages. All reasonably priced and quick. Tucked away in a business park such a surprise. 5 stars!

On our way to a overnight visit to Bournemouth to see a blues gig, we stopped here for a early lunchtime snack. Having departed a good hour later we should have, so our original plan had come unstuck. Originally we had thought we would park-up in the hotel in Bournemouth and find a snack lunch in the city centre, but with an early dinner reservation ideally we needed a corresponding early lunch. We found this little eatery on the Google Live map as we approached Blandford Forum and found our way here with comparative ease. This eatery is part of a trading estate environment in the northern part of Blandford. The main source of the café customers seems to be from the staff of the businesses that are accommodated in the trading estate. The cafés style is of a simple rough and ready eatery of simple construction, but the quality of the food and drink was very good. We had a good coffee each and my Partner’s Lamb and Feta salad was highly commendable; with a beautifully prepared salad featuring both crispy and tender, and warm delicacies of lamb. My Tuna Melt Panini was hot and well cooked and much enjoyed too. We were pleased we stopped here, rather than in a pub. The service was excellent; being both efficient and pleasant.

Gail, from the Pantry, came up trumps again yesterday and made excellent food for a party I held for m husband. This cafe/restaurant is well worth a visit if you haven’t already been as the food is good and Gail and Daniel always make you welcome.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here - so glad we made it. It was our last day of our Dorset Trip and we decided to have brunch before we head back and glad we did! We had 2 maltese with us so at times can be tricky...and the staff had made us feel so welcome! The food was scrumptious! Thank you for the great food!

This is a real find and well worth venturing out of Blandford town centre for. Amazing food, freshly cooked and delicious. Nothing is just thrown together here - everything is made with high quality ingredients and given lots of thought and consideration. Try the potato wedges at your peril - you'll be addicted in no time. Free parking too. Highly recommended.

I have only discovered The Pantry at the Grainstore two months ago. I ordered bread for the weekend, hot drinks sitting outside and have had two take away meals which were delicious. Delicious food and very friendly owners. I will definately go back for lunch as their lunch menu looks delicious too. Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

I came here for lunch with a friend. Really good food that was fresh, tasty and good value. The coffee and cake for pudding was delicious. My friend’s dog was made really welcome and clearly enjoyed the complimentary dog biscuit. I will definitely return soon.

We came in for a cuppa and a snack, we found the prices nice and affordable. We had a cheese scone, lemon cake and tea cake with teas. Can't grumble at all! The man serving us was lovely and paid good attention to my son asking for 3 slices of cake (the man cut his cake into 3, the 5 year old was most pleased thinking he'd got 3 slices) Only down side is its not wheelchair accessible, not really the cafes fault but I would have loved to had fetched my family in who don't visit that often for a lovely brew!

Loads of 'oldy-worldy' atmosphere on two floors - Americans would love it. But being an ancient building the tables are small and close together. Window seats can be chilly in winter. Food good and portions large. Service was poor and the need to go to the counter to order drinks and food and pay in advance was disappointing. In Summer you can sit outside and watch Shaftesbury and the tourists go by. For atmosphere it is on a par with the conservatory of the almost adjacent Grosvenor Hotel which on balance I think I would prefer.

Fantastic food, lovely fresh produce from Gold Hill organic farm and such a varied menu. Excellent tasty varied menu- changes regularly. All homemade - delicious sweet and savoury main dishes, whether for a meal out or a snack. Very good friendly service and even crochet items for sale and cards. Next door to farm shop.
