Brilliant coffee and a good selection of sweet and savoury food. Nice friendly owner. Can easily hold a conversation without having to shout over noise . Probably my favourite cafe in town now

Went in on a cold Saturday afternoon when it was the only cafe open. Had the place to ourselves and had a good chat with the owner. Lovely scones and friendly too!

Arrived on our bi-annual visit to Blandford and headed for the Forum as our cafe of choice. Unfortunately for us but, no doubt, well-deserved, the owners are on a break until 13 Oct 2022. I hope they have a good holiday. (5 stars or else the information won't post. All previous visits for coffee and cake have been that good.)

Today I was introduced to this wonderful gem of a cafe, close to the centre of Blandford. The I only came in for a cup of tea and 3 cups of coffee, with me a two other gents. The gentleman behind the counter with a mostash was wonderful kind and polite. The service was simply outstanding. He was funny, polite and attentive. This is not the service you would expect in national coffee chains, but from a five star hotel. I purchased some fabulous bars of Love Cocoa with the words Thank You. I hear this place does great food. Try this place if you in Blandford, a real gem.

Popped in for a drink and a snack. Really friendly owner, who seemed to know everyone who walked in by name - which was lovely to see. Very dog friendly and nice chilled out atmosphere in there. We'll definitely be back.

Having only just moved to the area we were in search of a new local cafe in Blandford. We tried most of them and the one we liked most was the Forum Cafe. It was only a ten minute walk in to town, it was clean, the coffee and cake were excellent and Ken and Terry were very pleasant and helpful.

My friend and I wanted to visit the museum opposite (alas, we picked the wrong day) but instead we enjoyed an excellent brunch with the MOST amazing savoury muffin, supremely good coffee and delicious cake. The food was scrumptious and the ambience cosy yet chilled. How did they do that? Fabulous warm, friendly staff who made us feel like cherished guests rather than bog-standard customers. If you find yourself in Blandford and The Forum Cafe is closed, go home and try again another day. (I think they close Mon and Tues). We'll be back.

On a cold Winter’s afternoon, one needs a hot brew and a warm welcome. Whilst other establishments had closed their doors at 4, it was therefore a welcome sight to spy the steam rising from behind the counter at the Forum Café and a 5 pm curfew. Bright - if a preponderance of a slightly garish green decor - friendly and welcoming with a good selection of homemade cakes and savouries (even at ten pst four on a Friday) and a bewildering array of teas, coffees and other beverages, The Forum is a gem of a café in what is a sadly dog-eared and slightly run-down looking town. The carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake were both excellent. The loose leaf breakfast tea strong and hot. Highly recommended.

Great place as it always is, best coffee in town

Walking round Blandford we came across the Forum at the right time for a coffee break. Very pleased with did. Excellent coffee - right amount of strength to be tasted and not bitter. On offer were gluten-free and vegan cakes, a good choice. Comfortable room, not large.

carrot cake is a must when visiting this little cafe, service impeccable and nice strong coffee.

Popped in for the Tartes Aux Fraises which were divine. The Tonka bean addition to the creme patisserie was a touch of genius, the subtle caramel flavour giving an interesting addition. I was served by a very friendly chap and I will be sure to return for a propper stay and a coffee. Probably more cake as well....

Forum Cafe is our go-to cafe in Blandford - great hosts, yummy cakes (especially ginger cake and Florentine tarts) and the best coffee.

You are always in for the warmest of welcomes at the Forum Cafe. Brilliant table service, and take away available. Cosy interior, making you feel right at home. The coffee and tea selection are to die for, with plenty of sweet treats to accompany. Portion sizes cannot be beaten!

This cafe is genuinely friendly. The coffee is good, the atmosphere chatty and the prices good. However, I’m afraid it is rather let down by the toilet facilities. Previously they were on the ground floor and basic to say the least, recently they have moved to the top of the building up several flights of wonky stairs. When you arrive the toilet is not nice. Scabby felt flooring, a door which doesn’t lock and it’s too far away from the loo to keep shut with your foot! To be honest I may think twice about going here because of the loo!

This used to be my local cafe. Now I live up in Scotland but always come back for a pot of tea and some sweet treats when I fly down to visit a couple times a year. Great for me as a vegan, the vegan peanut butter cookies are most delicious!. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t rate this place enough. It always feels so homely for me. Thank you!!

This is a good cafe for meeting up with friends. There are lovely paintings and greeting cards to look at or buy. Good choice of beverages.

Been multiple times and loved every time. Cannot suggest their hot chocolate, toast and fridge cake enough. Also dog friendly!

We went for lunch at about 3pm. The place was packed! Ambience was great. Service exceptional. Food was delicious and so were the drinks and dessert! The cheesecake was out of this world!

I’m a regular here due to lovely cakes, coffee and service. It genuinely is the type of place where you get welcomed and remembered as a friend rather than a customer. Always a lovely atmosphere and it’s a treat to go for a visit.

We were made to feel very welcome, the coffee and the chocolate fridge cake and florentine tray bake were absolutely superb. It was a treat to be here, very comfortable and welcoming interior too.

What a great place. Warm welcome on arrival and order taken straight away. The decaf latte was superb as was the chai tea. Cakes looked fantastic, but didn't indulge on this occasion Highly recommended.

We dropped in here, with the dog and two kids, right at the last minute (4.20 and they closed at 5) on a quiet Tuesday in half term. We were made so welcome even though the team were obviously winding down for the day. Two giant fruit scones, a piece of amazing green fridge cake, a carrot cake (with the best frosting I have ever tasted), two hot chocolates and two Earl Grey teas later I wish we had got there earlier! Definitely worth a visit if you are in this lovely country town and I’ll be getting there for a longer stop next time.

It's host are lovely. Menu is limited. Pity they microwaved things to warm them up.

This is a local café for me where dogs are welcome too so it is great to pop in for a coffee and a piece of one of their fab cakes or a light lunch.

Popped in for coffee and cake today and was made to feel very welcome. Great latte and lovely lemon drizzle cake. The sort of place you feel comfortable going on your own.

If you go nowhere else in Blandford, you must visit the Forum Cafe for a wonderful atmosphere, good food, arguably the best coffee in town, along with friendly and hospitable staff.

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor for suggestions, we popped along to the Cafe today, a nice wet, miserable spring day :)

Stopped here for much needed cuppa. Good array of herbal teas. I had lemon and ginger which was very zingy. My husband had an excellent lemon drizzle cake. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Great food, quick service too. Me and my daughter loved it, she is desperate to come again!

Lunch was required on a recent visit to Blandford, and what better spot to get it than the Forum cafe. A friendly little place with great service and brilliant food. My lunch of soup, with a cheese scone, was very yummy and reasonably priced. A great find, I would certainly return if I'm in the area

Had a quick lunch here today with our small dog. Small but cosy. Staff were excellent. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. We had two different types of savoury tarts for lunch, heated up. Plus an excellent pot of tea (according to other half) and a good cappuccino. We also shared a generous slice of lemon drizzle cake. The other cakes looked yummy. Would definately come here again.

Just had a cofee here (although the cakes looked delicious). The atmosphere was so friendly, there was obviously a lot of regular customers, almost made me want to live in Blandford so I could become part of the "Forum" scene! Lovely place, can't wait to return

What a gem! Relaxing, quirky place to eat and drink! Warm hearted welcome, nothing too much trouble! Will definitely visit again, soup was tasty, I had flatbread with it, other half had leek and potato tart! No room for cake.... Nice coffee too.

Delicious lunch of crustless quiche for me (gluten free, but would be enjoyed by anyone) and soup with (envy inducing) good quality bread for my partner. Excellent flat white coffee and cookies (incl. GF) & cake to follow. Really lovely, friendly staff and a very relaxed, warm atmosphere. Would love to have stayed longer/ become regulars, but we were only passing through. Great for gluten free &/or vegetarian but don't be put off if that's not you - there's something for everyone here. And all modestly priced. Lucky you if you're a local!

Found it by chance driving through Branford. Best decision to stop by! Made to feel very welcome by the owner, food superb! Especially the carrot cake!! Coffee was the best I'd had in a while & my husband enjoyed his tea also. Can't recommend enough! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful selection of delicious cakes with decent freshly brewed coffee. Have also been to one of the weekly Tapas evenings and food was excellent with generous portions.

The moment you arrive you are made to feel very welcome. The cakes are really lovely, and scones are proper scones (NOT glorified Sponge cake as you often find these days!) Savoury options are very delicious. I have never eaten anything that wasn't really tasty and fresh. I would highly recommend a visit.

My second visit to this wonderful little cafe , and won't be my last ... Terry the owner gives a warm welcome , makes you feel like a regular , and has created a great little place here , serving excellent food and drink in a cosy environment.Well worth the climb up the hill for .

I love the Forum Cafe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic. The soups are out of this world. The inside is comfortable to sit down and have a coffee with a friend or solo to read a book. Great place. Check it out ☕️

We were back again to see Mum and Dad, so we came up to Terry's again. He is always so accommodating, creating a "warm chocolate" for my two year old. Nothing is too much trouble. We wish we had a Forum Café where we live! The coffee is delicious and it feels very homely.

Love this little café! The welcome is always warm & friendly and they serve some gorgeous home made food. Have purchased some of the From Dorset With Love balsamic vinegars & they are really very tasty. Well worth a pop in :-)

Lovely place, lovely folks running it, wonderful teas, nice arty magazines, clean as a whistle, the cakes looked awesome but I am on a diet so refrained. I met a colleague there and the meeting was very pleasant. 10 out of 10 for me!
